As such, she would most assuradely notice if some silver went missing from the house.

CatherineSo listen to this, some soldiers came into town a couple of nights ago. They started talking about something strange they found out near the border. Thy came across some town and found the whole place empty. Food was still there, the dogs had started eating everything.
They think it might be some sort of Milawanaue sorcery or whatever it they do. They've got some weird stuff up north, but I dunno about whole villages disappearing and it doesn't sound like something adventurers had to do with. Normally if it was adventurers there would be, if anything, unnessicasry amounts of debris and craters.
All I know is, stay safe, don't leave the city. Whatever this is, Orangones is the safest place to be for what thats worth.From, Jacob

"To be honest I have no idea whats going on and I"m getting really scared. Can I please leave?"
The mysterous man in a black robe started rubbing his chin.
"Your actually a normal person,huh. Binding."
Mutai tried to dodge the passive black chains that appeared, but they moved way to fast and were tracking.
"Hey, Jimmy, get the wheelchair and show this guy around."
A couple minutes later, underneath the abandoned house. Mutai was strapped to a wheelchair while a much shorter black robed figure talked enthusiastically. He sounded about Mutai's age.
"So, how about I start by explaining alllllll about Magdas. Magdas is the god of blood, so it likes a lot of blood related things. Noticed how I said "it" ? Magdas has two forms, depending on wat aspect of it your talking about.
The male form of Magdas is all about war, blood contracts, and blood brothers.
The female form focuses on family, health, and illicit relationships.
Those are the basics and you might be wondering " Well that doesn't sound that bad, why are you underground?" Well, our last High Priest, Who Shall Not Be Named, was a bit of a prick and focused solely on the two male aspect domains ; war and blood contracts. Not sure how he was able to become a High Priest like that, but everyone thinks it has something to do with the blood contracts.
Before, we were a reather well established, well off Church. Then he went and f^*#$k us all over and the Church of Lenati smashed us. You may have meet their "Champion of Light" in Martlin, Chrisset. Malthaou's daughter. Big shocker, I know. That whole family is filed with heroes. Most of use are wodering what little James will grow up to be.
Everything I've told you is public information. If you want to know more, you can sign a blood contract with the library to borrow some of our books for a couple of weeks. Excluding any magically ones, those you have to be a church member for.

I've decided that, instead of writing more letters, why not more text. More time to get use to Mutai's way of interacting with the world.Speaking of which, he hasn't run into an adventurer party yet. Ideas are brewing! Oh, well, that will be after the next couple of chapters, which will end Volume 2 and be rather lengthy. I think Volume 3 will have him forced to help some adventurers or spy on them. Hmmmm
