Chapter 2
The road to the city of Orangones was relatively calm. No monsters or bandits attacked Mutai. He passed by a couple groups of players and a merchant wagon.
Most of the time was spent with the sound of nature; the wind rustling trees, small animals moving in the brush, birds in the trees.
The sound of his feet, at first very disruptive to his enjoyment of the road, became a part of it.

At the entrance to Orangones
"Halt! State your business."
"I'm from the town of Kirtlin, here to deliver some letters from the mayor."
"Hmm, on your way then."
"Uhm..."
"??"
"Do you know where I should be delivering these?"
"..... not use to the big city, huh? Head to the central square, strait in from here. The civic office should be on the right."
"Thank you, sir."
Mutai reached the center twenty minutes later. He was exactly able to move at a good run with the crowds about.
At the office....
It was a building you could describe in one word : beaucratic.
*But since this building is important, lets do a bit more work*
Perphaps because it was a game, the civic office had a giant wooden sign in front with a letter on it.
Most undoubtably because that would be the only thing normal payers would care about.
It was three stories tall, wooden, and without a lot of decoration.
It had three entrances and one exit out the back, where couriers waited on standby to deliver anything given to them anywhere in the city.
Upon entering the building, Mutai noticed the left most entrance was only ten feet from the staircase and the rightmost side of the building eminated the air of a DMV.
Mutai stood in the middle line for ten minutes.
"Is this where I should be to deliver mail."
"Second floor, first line for northern towns, seconds line for eastern towns, third line for southern, and fourth for western."
"Thank you."
Mutai waited in the fourth line for two minutes.
"Town?"
" Kirtlin "
"Mayor Jinroe huh? As always, he sends his stuff in the day its due. Nice to know somebody has it together, sigh, anyway * here's * your payment."
Job complete
Reward : return to mayor Jinroe for your reward.
Well, now that Mutai had finished his errand, he decided it would be a waste not to look around the city a bit. He decided to visit the training center because that was something he (felt compulsed) wanted to do.
"Welcome to the training center. Training weapons are on the walls."
"Oh, actually, I was wondering if you could give me some pointers mister..."
" ....Matt, Sir Matt , actually. What do you need help with?"
"I'm training so that I only use my feet to fight and was wondering if you have any tips for jumping in spinning kicks."
"Besides not doing that? Not really. If you want some help, maybe the monk training temple could give you some answers. "
"Thank you."
At the trainig temple...
"Welcome, have you come here to become a monk?"
This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.
"Sorry, but no thank you. The training hall instructor, Sir Matt said you could help me train."
"A shame... what training are you looking for?"
"Jumping and spinning kicks."
"Hmm.... the most important part of those types of maneuvers is balance. If you want, I could show you to the training room we have for maintaining balance."
"That would be great!"
And so it was....
BalancePassiveCat-like, agile, a daredevil. Can be used with Steady Breathing.+1%*(LVL) speed on tightropes. +1%*(LVL) Chance not to fall from high places. +0.1%*LVL Chance to resist fear

Afterwords, Mutai headed to the tanner's store.
The owner was a suprisingly burley man.
"Evening, what can I get you?"
"I was wondering if I could get some good shoes. I'm a messenger for the town of _ _ and could use something that will last me for at least a year."
"A year? for messenger shoes? Thats..... a bit difficult."
The owner gave Mutai a look over.
"You probably don;t ave the coin."
"How much?"
"50 silver."
"Oh! I've got that much."
The man smiled
"Well well well. Lets get you fitted."
Mutai was told his shoes would be ready tomorrow. He decided to log out for the day.
*******
The next day, Mutai picked up his shoes.

Oh crap.... while Mutai was happy about the boots, he realized that he was only lvl 1.
*Huh, that sucks.*
While the boots were good, Mutai was certainly not someone to begin a training montage. While he was normally a level-headed person.... the same term did not apply in the game.
If anything, the only thing Mutai was concerned about was...
"Is it faster to grind 9 lvls and then head back to town or head back now...."
Mutai, being someone who would happily work a corperate job, didn't quite transfer over well into a video game.
Especially since the only reason he was playing was to run around with fress air.
"Eh, I'll just head back now. I don't want the mayor to worry."
Thus, he left the city of Orangones and returned to the town of Kirtlin.
It was only slightly more eventful than before.
