020 - The Cemetery, the Zombie, and the Stone Needle (3)

Aooooooo

The second dog, seeing its companion pinned to the trunk, starts howling loudly. A red glow appears in its eyes as its body grows larger.

Its claws enlarge and darken. Dark energy oozes in wisps around its body. This dark energy seems to act like a boosting substance, giving its body an extra push.

The dog leaps and climbs rapidly with unprecedented speed.

The dog is consumed by rage, the rage of losing a companion that had been with it for many years. After spending a lot of time and enduring numerous trials together.

This rage gave it new strength, the strength to climb faster, aided by its powerful claws.

Rock looks apprehensively at the zombie dog climbing the tree with speed.

The dog's claws dig into the trunk as it advances. With each step, the dog creates wood splinters that fall to the ground below.

The zombie dog suddenly leaps with the help of a branch reaching the same level as Rock. Rock. The dog's claws scrape against the tree, trying to reach Rock, who protects himself with his "stone arms."

Rock manages to protect himself from the sharp claws, but not without damage.

His arms show signs of minor cracks. The zombie dog launches another claw attack, and Rock prepares for the impact by crossing his stone arms, but at the last moment, the zombie dog places its paw on the ground and changes the direction of its body, leaping onto Rock to bite him.

The dog's jaws, wide open, catch Rock in its mouth.

The dog demonstrates the full force of its jaw by digging deeply into Rock's chest, tearing a piece of his body. Although it wasn't easy, the beast eventually manages to dislodge a part with difficulty.

It is at this moment that Rock makes his move, taking advantage of the dog biting his body. He moves his arm and punches the dog squarely.

The force behind this blow is so great that it shakes the animal and tears off some pieces of flesh from its muzzle.

The impact's violence is such that the dog has to let go. In doing so, its jaw, still biting Rock, pulls out a few teeth due to the hardness of the stone.

However, the piece of stone it had dislodged from Rock's body gets lodged in its throat, blocking its jaw and preventing it from biting. The dog struggles, trying to get rid of the stone choking it, but in vain.

As a result, the branch on which Rock and the zombie dog were standing starts to crack and break, and a few seconds later, it shatters, causing Rock and the Zombie Dog to fall.

The impact is brutal for both Rock, who lands on the ground, and the height worsens the injuries already present on his body. He notices that his adversary hasn't been spared by the fall; he's still there, still struggling with a stone lodged in his throat. But his body is twisted in a terrifying way, clearly showing the brutality of his fall.

Rock realizes he has no choice but to finish the job while he still has the opportunity. He struggles to stand up, his body creaking and creating dust with each movement, gradually weakening him. He focuses on the Zombie Dog, still immobile, showing its fangs and growling ferociously. Although its appearance is frightening, it's obvious that it can no longer move.

Grrr, grrr

The Zombie Horde has arrived. Rock advances toward the Zombie Dog and brutally crushes its head with his stone fists several times. Unlike before, his body is damaged. The power of his fists has been reduced, and he has to strike multiple times to kill it, shattering its skull. The weight of his fists and the weakness of the dog allow him to kill it quickly.

Removing his fists from the corpse, Rock senses a concentrated energy at the dog's skull.

Looking into the remains of the brain matter, he finds a small violet crystal the size of a marble, emitting demonic energy.

He retrieves it and decides to flee to distance himself from the approaching horde, which is almost upon him. He can already see several nearby zombies surrounding him.

Taking advantage of the zombies' slowness, he strikes their knees, damaging them and slowing down some of the zombies, allowing him to escape.

After hours of running and putting distance between himself and the horde, Rock decides to stop near a stream to recover and replace the missing and damaged pieces of stone with new, more resilient ones. After several hours spent repairing his body, he is in a "decent" condition, despite having expended a large amount of energy in the process. He uses [Meditation] to quickly replenish his mana, slightly affecting his mental state.

Due to his previous injuries and his unfamiliarity with his new body, his movement speed is not fast. He will need some time to adapt to these changes.

Grrr

The horde that was chasing him a few hours ago has caught up. He can feel them getting closer due to their sheer numbers and the vibrations.

With his body nearly repaired, Rock feels ready to confront them and kill every last one of them.
