Grrr, Zzzz
The previous battle not the past obliteration attracted other creatures because of the noise.
These creatures are similar but they usually have a human form and among them there are also beasts in the same state. They come from a place where a lot of crosses is planted in the ground, in front of each of these crosses the earth seems turned upside down.
Rock can feel that this place contains a little more energy that comes from the Earth in the ground. This energy releases a smoky smell that scares away other beasts, telling them that this place is dangerous for them.
For Rock, however, this smell does nothing to him as long as he does not use his skill [Magic Sense] allowing him to possess the 5 senses of living beings in exchange for Mana allowing him to see in color, to smell, to hear, to have the sense of touch and taste.
----
These creatures approached in groups at their heads from the corpses of dog-like beasts that stood out from the others because of their slightly greater speed than the others. They arrived on the scene sniffed the freshly killed corpse and made a small round before returning empty-handed.
----
When Rock saw all these little people arrive, he took refuge on the rock using his passive skill [Climbing] allowing him to facilitate his ascent on this rock in a short time. From above he observes the movements of his strange creatures which seem to lack energy and move slowly.
From his vantage point he can see a total of 8 Humanoid Zombies and 2 Zombie Dogs and this was the biggest of the group. Behind about thirty meters there were other creatures like this one waiting at the dawn of the forest. They seemed to be waiting, standing there waiting as if they were on standby waiting for the slightest stimulation to wake them from their sleep.
----
"That's going to be a problem, these creatures are problematic," Rock thought to himself.
If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.
It's been several days now that Rock has been stuck on his rock watching the creatures to pass the time, watching the sky and the stars as the days pass one after the other.
The perception of time for creatures of mana is very biased because unlike creatures of flesh which have particular physiological needs which occupy them for a large part of the day unlike creatures of mana which react to simpler and more basic needs.
So unlike other mana creatures Rock is independent he doesn't need any noise or sound to activate his body unlike Zombies.
So in the absence of the slightest sound the mana creatures will remain on standby, that's why Rock has been waiting all this time.
During these many days of waiting he discovered a new skill [Meditation] much more effective than [Magic Absorption] but with a hit, that of imposing mental pollution disturbing thoughts and actions.
He discovered this skill for the first time by reflecting on himself imagining various scenarios in view of his situation.
As these scenarios progressed, he discovered that these exercises gradually increased his mana pool as his imagination and creativity grew.
----
After a few sessions of meditation and control over his magic, he was able to guide the earth to take a precise shape by injecting part of his mana modifying the shape of the Rock. The shape sticking out of the rock looks like a needle although crude could potentially injure someone if used at the right time.
By repeating this action several times he managed to "master" the basics to cast this spell. (Earth Needle)
"Aiguille de Terre" following these thoughts the Rock split in two to create a needle coming out of this Rock to cross a Zombie from side to side. This action stuns Rock for a moment due to the amount of mana used quickly.
Looking at the needle several flaws can be seen with the naked eye. The base that supports the Aiguille is huge and as you move away you can see that it becomes thinner and thinner until it is so thin that a gust of wind has dislodged the point.
--
Rock watched the zombie carefully as it freed itself from the needle of dirt. He was curious to see if the needle managed to cause enough damage to kill the zombie or not.
The zombie got up slowly, staggering slightly. Rock could see marks on his body where the needle had entered. However, it seemed the needle hadn't done enough damage to kill him. The zombie looked dazed and confused, but he was still able to move.
Rock knew he couldn't afford to use this skill lightly in the future. He should learn to master it and use it effectively.
The zombie looked around, probably looking for where the attack was coming from. Rock realized he had made a mistake casting his spell. Now that the zombie had been alerted, he had to exercise caution to avoid attracting the attention of other Zombies.
