The substance gradually solidified on Foin's hand. He moved his fingers around, and the gloves did not restrict his movements at all. Out of curiosity, Foin grabbed one side of the glove on his left arm and slightly pulled on it. It stretched out without much force, and as soon as he let go of it, it returned to its original size.
Foin grinned and looked at the bonfire. The black flames were still vividly moving in it. He wanted to keep testing the gloves. He slowly moved his hand closer and closer to the flames, testing how well the gloves could insulate. It was effective; he could put his hand straight into the flames, and he felt no unbearable heat. With one final test, he grabbed a piece of burning wood and held it firmly.
The pair of gloves worked wonderfully, as Foin didn't feel any sort of heat, but other than mild warmth. With a grin, he dropped the burning piece of wood down and then took the gloves off and put them beside him. Thrilled by the amazing achievement and discovery, Foin wanted to continue.
Since he had previously tested the huunt dust's capabilities, and he still had an untouched fruit and some extra pieces from the previous one, he wanted to try making some matches.
Foin quickly put the pot back next to the fire in which he had melted the rubber and then walked back into the storage. They had gathered smaller and thin branches as well as larger ones, but he rarely used the very thin ones, so it was perfect. He grabbed a bunch of them and then walked back to his pot.
He broke each stick to be roughly as long as his fingers and then put them in a pile next to him. What he had broken off was thrown onto the fire as they were too small to be usable.
He had a few dozen sticks ready to be used. Then he took out his other huunt and cracked it open. On the plate, he purposely ground the pieces into fine dust, and then the dust was poured into the molten rubber. Since he didn't want to waste the meat and since the girls were still bathing, he decided to cook it.
Once the meat was cooked properly, he put it on a fresh, untouched plate and then turned his attention to the rubber mixed with the huunt dust. He noticed that the rubber in the pot was much more fluid; it was due to the black flame still burning underneath it.
It seemed that due to its state, the dust had spread across it quite well. With a grin, Foin put his gloves back on and grabbed the first small stick. He carefully inserted it into the rubbery substance and then pulled it out. The substance stuck to the tip of the stick, just as he had hoped for.
Then he held it in his free hand so that it could cool down and solidify. In the meantime, Foin kept working on the rest of the sticks. He used up all of the rubber, but only a large portion of the sticks were used up.

A few minutes, that is how long Foin waited before opening his inventory. Due to their small sizes, he wanted to store them in his inventory, but due to his previous failure, deep down, he felt that the inventory wouldn't take his matches.
Foin pushed one of the matches into his inventory panel, and although it was not stored, he got a message.
"Notice! Uncategorised item! Would you like to add a new item? Adding a new item will cost 100 points. Yes/No"
Foin just stared at the window for a moment. He couldn't understand how it could show such a message now, but then he remembered; the quest reward was that his inventory was upgraded.
"Maybe it didn't work previously because the bucket was not raw material and was already a new item. That may be why my Appraiser skill only worked on plants.
Foin mumbled as he kept staring at the panel. He took a deep breath and then pressed the glowing yes button. At that moment, the match he wanted to store vanished from his hand, and a new set of notifications popped up.
"Notice! The item is being analysed!"
"Notice! Analysis completed! Item made of the following materials: Wood, Huunt, Platic"
"Please give a name to the item!"
With the last panel, a keyboard appeared, but not one he was familiar with, as it had many different characters which he couldn't even recognise. But there were characters that he could use, and as he scanned them, he noticed that there were even Greek letters.
The keys' order did not seem to be real, but he believed that it was in alphabetic order, as the first characters he could see in the first row were the letters A and Alpha.
It took him a long time to be able to write the name, but in the end, he named it very creatively as Match.
"Notice! Item, Match, has been saved!"
As soon as the last panel vanished, the inventory panel before his eyes refreshed, and he could see the new icon in it, which looked just like the one he had put in. Foin couldn't hold back a chuckle and then finally stored the rest of his matches in his inventory.
With a content sigh, Foin took off his gloves and stood up. He was about to go back to sit down on his bed, but the bathroom's plate was pushed to the side, and steam started flowing out.
At first, Gobu stepped out. She was stumbling; her face was red as a tomato, and then she was followed by Énilo, who was smiling.
"Phew, master, this bath you made was so relaxing and so warm. We even played a bit!"
Énilo said as she flew over to Foin's face with a genuine grin on her face. Foin smiled back at her and patted her head.
"I am glad you liked it... But what happened to Gobu... she seems a bit... exhausted."
"Too... Many... So many things in such a small amount of time... vines... too much...."
Gobu uttered as she finally reached her bed and sat down on it as she kept gazing at the floor.
"What?"
"Oh, don't worry, master... We just had a hot and relaxing bath together... and we had a girly chat, that is all."
"I see... Well, anyway, on that plate there is a brand new product, you should try it... And I think I will go and sleep... Linyer's visit was enough for today... Good night"
