With renewed passion and increased speed, Foin proceeded to harvest the remainder of the peppers and dumped all of them into one massive pile. As soon as every single pepper but the green ones was harvested, he started removing the unneeded plants and tossed them into the composting pit.
As the dragon heard Foin's words, it just kept looking at him. It watched him harvest the peppers, and only when he started working on the potatoes did the dragon finally look back at the large pile of peppers.
"Did he really mean that... Previously, I didn't realise it in time, but now I do... These could easily be considered precious treasures; how could he so casually say that?! These are nothing more than expendable products in his eyes?! Nothing more than food?!"
The dragon thought as it stared blankly at the food before it and then finally started eating. Despite its massive size, it only ate one at a time, and on top of that, it ate relatively slowly.
"Phew, I hope that amount of pepper will be enough; I really don't want to start again from near zero again."
Foin mumbled as he was gathering his potatoes, from which he planted back a few every once in a while, just to slightly increase the number of plants. He could only harvest two plants before his bucket was full, so he quickly turned around to dump everything into one pile.
Though he was prepared to see that the pile of pepper had vanished, the fact that only a few had vanished greatly surprised him. And on top of that, he saw that the dragon lay down in the pathway it made itself across the trees.
"Could it be that I misread the dragon yesterday? Well... Shit... I knew that dragons would prefer meat over vegetables, but yesterday, it seemed to have liked them..."
Foin uttered as he continued gathering the potatoes, which took much longer than the peppers did, but he was soon finished with them and sat beside the pile of products he had. However, he was not yet finished, as he still needed to replant a large portion of the peppers due to his hurried harvest, and his tree needed to be harvested as well.
However, now he was curious to see what those skills were that he had gained. As soon as he thought of his skill Inventory, a plain window popped up before his eyes. It had no text or icon; it was completely blank.

"I expected something more... Something less simplistic... Seeing that it opened with a thought, maybe that is also how I can put items in it?"
He quickly grabbed his bucket and tried thinking about putting it into his inventory; however, nothing happened. No matter how hard he tried, nothing happened, so he gave up.
As his second idea, he pushed the bucket through the open window, hoping that it would be enough to put the bucket in, but the item merely phased through the floating window.
Seeing how it also failed, he grew slightly frustrated. As a result, he grabbed a potato from the pile and tried shoving it against the panel, which, much to his relief and surprise, worked. On the floating panel, an icon appeared depicting a potato, and in its bottom right corner, there was a number. Which, currently, was one.
"Wow... So I can't put the bucket in, but I can put products in? Hm... I need to experiment with it more."
With one determined movement, Foin brought his fingers next to the floating panel and tried pinching it; however, his fingers just phased through it, just as he had imagined. Yet, while pinching his fingers, he moved his hand, and the panel moved along with his hand.
This newfound skill was quite fascinating in his eyes. He no longer needed to keep his food out in the open anymore; there were still many unpredictable outcomes. First and foremost, his greatest concern was how well did this skill preserve the items. It was a possibility that due to being able to store multiple items in such a small place, things would start to rot much faster.
Also, the maximum capacity was a mystery. Foin hoped that even if it had a defined limit, he would either never reach it or would be able to increase it.
While still holding the panel, he suddenly had an interesting idea; he quickly moved the inventory panel over the pile of potatoes and brought it down with one sudden movement. Just as he had anticipated, every piece of potato it touched was transported into his inventory, leaving only a small amount outside, which he quickly gathered as well. Then he proceeded over to the pepper and stored all of them in his storage.
"I like this new skill; harvesting will be even faster..."
He mumbled as he leaned back and just stared at the tree not far from him. The tree, which he believed was made of the same material its fruit contained, as no matter how strong the wind was, its leaves never moved. On the said tree, Foin could see four new fresh fruits, which he had harvested.
As soon as he grabbed the first fruit, the inventory panel closed. However, it was fine, as Foin didn't want to keep these fruits inside his inventory. His main goal with these unique products was simple. Since they contained a liquid that would harden over time, he wanted to use that liquid to strengthen his house.
Though he needed to finish building it first, he had already started imagining how well it would work. Since his house was made of dirt and mud, he knew that it would not be able to withstand heavy rains, so that liquid would provide great rain protection as well as act as a shield against more physical elements. Of course, since he had not yet experimented with the liquid, he didn't know how well it would insulate his house.
After putting his freshly harvested fruits next to the other two, he stood up and grabbed his wooden spade. He was ready to continue working in his garden as well as experiment more with his inventory.
"Let's see how it works with some dirt!"
