"So to summarise, I have to smash my blood essence with the blood essence on an ogre by following the blood flow map in the book, allowing them to fuse and enhance my blood slowly," Kraven said after reading the contents on the 1st layer of the
"According to this the pain is so intense that people have killed themselves to stop the pain, guess this will be fun, let's get started," Kraven said with a smile.
Bringing a barrel of ogre blood out of his storage ring, Kraven opened the barrel to reveal blood with such a deep colour it was almost black, just opening the barrel filled the yard with the stench of blood, taking the cup that was attached to the barrel, Kraven filled his mouth with the blood before sitting on the floor and swallowing.
Kraven following the directions of the blood flow map clashed his blood Qi with the ogre's blood Qi, causing his face to turn pale, Kraven could feel the ogre's blood flowing inside his body causing havoc wherever it went but his blood Qi repaired the damage by following behind and clashing with the ogre's blood for the full duration of the cultivation.
After all the blood essence was fully used Kraven opened his eyes and vomited rancid black blood onto the floor.
"The book said that any blood Qi destroyed in my body would be vomited up, but I didn't think it would taste that bad," Kraven said with a disgusted look on his face as he got a drink of water to wash the taste out of his mouth.
"I'VE BEEN CULTIVATING FOR THREE HOURS," Kraven shouted after he glanced at the clock on the wall.
*Knock Knock*
Kraven heard a knock at the door to his courtyard, going to see who it was Kraven opened the door expecting to see Silvia but to his surprise, it was Jason and James.
"Hey, Kraven you little bastard, how have you been," Jason said with a big smile.
"It's barely been 12 hours since we last saw him," James said.
"I know but I've missed him so much," Jason said with a weird look.
"Hey guys come in," Kraven said happily.
"An outer sect prodigy house it's been a while since we lived in one of these right James," Jason reminisced.
"About 15 years now," James responded also reminiscing.
"Damn how old are two," Kraven said shocked.
"We aren't that old, we're young for our level the less talented people at our level are in their 50s, haven't you read the book on the division of realms," Jason questioned.
"What's that," Kraven responded.
"You know the book that has all the criteria for entering the Inner, Core, and True sect," James interjected.
"Still no clue," Kraven said.
"Have you even checked everything in your storage ring," Jason said dumbfounded at how forgetful Kraven could be.
"Silvia did tell me to do that earlier but I wanted to start cultivating, so I didn't," Kraven said now finally checking his storage ring.
"Oh is this it," Kraven said as a book appeared in his hand.
Kraven pulled out a book called 'Starving Ghost Sect Guide'.
"Yes that's it, now read the entry requirements for the Inner sect," Jason said.
"To enter the Inner sect the disciple must breakthrough the Qi Gathering stage before the age of 20 or they will be sent to a lower sect," Kraven said aloud.
"For the Core sect, it's the Foundation Establishment realm and you have to be below 60," James continued.
"Won't we be old men by that point," Kraven questioned.
"Kraven you do know that every realm you enter the longer you can live right," James said.
"Oh, that would make sense because my dad is like 6000 years old, I thought it was a mistake," Kraven said laughing.
"My god, Kraven you really know absolutely nothing about cultivation do you," Jason said laughing.
"For the Body Tempering realm, you can live the same length of time as a normal mortal, for the Qi Gathering realm you can live to be a maximum of 250 years old, and the Foundation Establishment realm is 1000 years old," James explained.
"That makes sense as to why the guards at my prison always wanted to breakthrough and become Qi Gathering realm cultivators, I thought they just wanted to be stronger," Kraven said finally understanding the guards.
"Yeah, lifespan is the main reason people want to reach higher realms, for some it's just a byproduct of wanting to gain more strength," Jason said walking towards the house when he noticed a black pool on the floor.
"Kraven why is rancid blood on your floor," Jason asked.
"Oh, after I finished cultivating I puked that," Kraven said.
"Did you make a mistake or something, because that isn't normal," Jason said concerned.
"According to the book it is normal," Kraven said showing Jason the technique book.
"YOU'RE CULTIVATING THE
"Stop shouting, damn, calm down will you," Kraven said covering his ears.
"Kraven I don't think you know how difficult and dangerous this technique is, the top scorer from our generation tried to cultivate this technique but killed himself during the process of completing the 1st layer due to the pain," James said warning Kraven.

"I've made my decision and I won't be changing it," Kraven said resolutely.
"Fine, we won't try to dissuade you but please be careful, you dying early would really be a bummer," Jason said giving in to Kraven.
"Let's order some food I'm real hungry," Jason said after all the serious stuff was behind them.
"How do you do that," Kraven said.
"Kraven what have you done since coming to the sect," Jason said exasperated.
"Sleep, choose a cultivation technique, and cultivate, that's about it," Kraven said.
"You use the panel over there," Jason said defeated by how little Kraven even tried in anything except cultivation.
Kraven looked where Jason pointed and saw a panel like what they had at the Library Pavilion, on the wall in his house, pressing it a list of food appeared with prices next to them.
"I have no money at all," Kraven said.
"Check your storage ring for a card from your master," Jason said.
Looking inside his storage ring Kraven found a card from his master that would pay for all meals in the outer sect.
"Won't it be expensive the cheapest is in silver coins," Kraven said not wanting to use his master's money.
"Even if you ordered thousands of the most expensive meals it would be insanely cheap to Elder Silverstorm since 1 spirit stone is 1000 gold coins and your master could earn tens of millions of spirit stones by killing a Demon King and selling the corpse, so no need to worry," Jason said explaining how expensive spirit stone's are with gold coins.
(100 Copper Coins=1 Silver Coin, 100 Silver Coins= 1 Gold Coin, 1000 Gold Coins= 1 Spirit Stone)
"Eat the most expensive medical meal every day it will help your malnourished body, Kraven," Elder Silverstorm said via voice transmission to Kraven.
"Okay master," Kraven said aloud but got no response.
"Did your master just speak to you," Jason asked.
"Yeah, he said to eat the most expensive medical meal every day," Kraven said relaying what his master said.
"Not a bad idea considering that your body is very malnourished," James said.
Kraven nodded and then went to order the food he went to the medical food section and found the most expensive option and it was an eye-watering 100 gold coins, but following his master's orders he ordered it and then allowed James and Jason to choose what they wanted, the order came out to 300 gold coins, paying with the card the food would be 10 minutes.
"Does every house have one of these," Kraven asked.
"In the outer sect no, only the prodigy houses, but in the Inner sect yes as every house is a single house," Jason answered.
10 minutes later the food arrived.
"Are you Kraven," the young disciple asked.
"What's that got to do with you," Kraven said annoyed that the disciple had interrupted his conversation with his friends.
"I've got your food, Sir," The disciple squeaked out despite having been in the sect for 5 years the man had always been a coward and Kraven looked like a beast to him.
Kraven took the food and shut the door on the disciple who stood there scared shitless.
"Foods here," Kraven announced, then promptly distributed the food to whoever ordered it.
Kraven opened the packaging that held his food, the smell that it gave off made him droll, it was a large chunk of meat and vegetables with herbs coating it all. Kraven began to devour the food ravenously.
"Kraven calm down it isn't going anywhere," Jason laughed.
"Oh, sorry I would get beat up if I took too long to eat, so I've always eaten fast," Kraven said not realising that he was crying.
"Why are you crying I know it tastes good because I've eaten it before but not that good," James said.
"This meal probably cost more than the total amount of money spent on me from birth," Kraven said sadly smiling.
"You don't have to worry anymore Kraven you can consider this the benchmark for your new life," Jason said as he and James patted Kraven on the shoulder.
"Now that we've finished eating onto the main reason for our visit," James said signaling Jason who was still eating to hurry up.
"That's right," Jason said after he finished his last bite.
"The mood just got really serious," Kraven said.
"Don't worry we're just going to offer advice for the future because you seem to be the forgetful type," James said making Kraven remember the times Silvia said the exact same thing.
"I've been told that before," Kraven admitted.
"Well, just to tell you of some events that you need to know of in the future, I'm assuming you know of the 1 year protection period right," James questioned.
"Yeah, some arsehole said that he would protect me and Silvia after the protection period ended, but I told him to fuck off which unsurprisingly pissed him off," Kraven said with a laugh.
"Oh yeah what was the fuckers name," Jason said laughing.
"Randal Thorne I think," Kraven said trying his best to remember.
"Oh so he's from the Thorne family," Jason said.
"What is that bad," Kraven said.
"No, they are a family whose patriarch is a Martial King realm Inner Elder, his youngest son won 9th place in the entrance ceremony," James said.
"Not got a clue, wasn't paying attention to the names being read out," Kraven said.
"Well, my advice is to keep a lookout for the people on the top 10 list, because they are your rivals, there have been years where the top spot has been defeated and even killed by someone who wasn't even in the top 10," James said seriously.
"How considering the talent gap that should be nearly impossible," Kraven asked.
"Simple, they got complacent they thought that," James said before being interrupted by Jason.
"Oh well, I'm 1st place nobody is more talented than me so I can just take my time and barely train," Jason interrupted.
"Yeah, what Jason said, they believe because they are talented they don't need to do anything to get stronger, and that bites them in the arse when the Outer Sect Competition starts after the protection period ends," James said.
"The Outer Sect Competition is where the new disciples fight to decide if they can move up the ranks," Jason said in a rare moment of seriousness.
"What are the benefits of the ranks, I mean I get that me and Silvia get a single house because we are Outer Sect Prodigys but are there any other benefits," Kraven asked not having listened when they were explained.
"Discounts, that's pretty much it, you can get a discount when you redeem anything in the sect, for example, a Peak-Tier martial art is 100 contribution points but for you, it's only 50, that's the biggest advantage," James explained.
"Wait so I get a 50% discount on everything from the sect," Kraven said shocked.
"Only on Body Tempering realm martial arts and resources, but you can't redeem something for cheap and sell it for a profit that's banned and you could be killed for doing it," James answered.
"Okay, I understand but what benefit do I get from the Outer Sect Competition since I'm already a Prodigy I can't get any higher," Kraven asked.
"Dominance," Jason said.
"Dominance," Kraven repeated confused.
"Yes as 1st place they are all waiting to see you fall from grace, it's human nature to envy and hate those more powerful or talented than themselves, so they want you to be defeated and humiliated," James said.
"So they want me to be humiliated but if instead, I win with overwhelming power it will make them realise that they have no chance against me," Kraven said with a cruel smile.
"Exactly and you want that because after the protection period, you can be challenged for your Prodigy spot," James said.
"So, I can be challenged and if defeated they take my title, but won't a random High-Tier just come and kill me in one attack," Kraven asked.
"Don't worry all the High-Tiers in the Outer Sect are already either Prodigies or have entered the Inner Sect, so you have only have the Mid-Tiers to worry about but to be honest if they are still Mid-Tier after being in the Sect for 5 years they aren't talented and aren't really a threat to you," James explained.
"So in short, focus on your cultivation technique and complete the 1st layer as quickly as possible, without causing permanent damage to yourself, and practice martial arts for the Competition," Jason summarised.
"Yeah, what that idiot said, but it's time we leave you to your cultivation," James said.
"Thanks for the advice and company guys," Kraven thanked them thankfully.
"No worries see you later dude," Jason said as he and James left.
"Guess I can't slack off, but let's go exchange all my technique medals and enter seclusion," Kraven said heading toward the Library Pavilion.
