The Kindom of Wolfgang

The capital is crowded with people, a huge event is taking place.

A man selling papers: Today is the day! The tornament will take place today! Adventurers from all over the kindom will take part and battle each other to win. Who knows what prize the winner will get this time? To find out come and watch the tornament take place in the arena.

A young boy carrying a bag on his back hears about the tornament.

Nicholas: I finally made it to the capital. There is so much that interests me to checkout but i really want to go see the tornament. That's where I will get to see adventurers with unique artifacts and equipment. I can't wait to see and record them!

Nicholas heads towards the arena to see the tornament. But he bumps into a man.

Nicholas: I am so sorry! I wasn't looking forward there are so many exciting things around here.

Nicholas looks at the man and gets nervous. The man was tall and was wearing all black equipment and clothing and his face was covered by his hood. The man didn't say a word and just moved on.

Nicholas: I am saved! Thank God he didn't mind it. He must be an adventurer taking part in this tornament he is carrying a sword too although it's condition seems to be very bad. He must be struggling alot.

The tornament is about to start.

The announcer: Get ready for the first match of the tornament.

Nicholas: It's about to start!

Audience: Let's go already!

The two adventurers take their positions.

Announcer: Then let's begin! Fight!

The fight starts and one of the adventurer starts to attack but the other one stands still.

The adventurer who is attacking: To scared to move are you?

The adventurers sword reaches to the chest of the other but surprisingly the other adventurer stops it by grabbing the tip of his sword with just two fingers.

The audience: Who the hell is that guy? How did he manage to stop a sword like that?

Nicholas: Woah!

An old man sitting in the audience: It's been so long since I have seen something so interesting in this arena.

The audience looks at the old man and is shocked.

Audience: You mean it? Seriously?

The old man is a veteran viewer of the arena and the entire audience respects his words.

Audience: Hey! Could it be that guy is from a nobel family?

Another guy from audience: He is Alaric Leyen! The second child of the Duke Leyen!

Old man: That explains his skill. Leyen family is known for its prowess in combat. Guess we have our winner already.

Alaric defeats the adventurer with ease.

Announcer: And with that the first match is finished! The audience seems to have found their chosen winner already!.

Nicholas: This is so exciting! I didn't knew nobles are this strong! But he doesn't seem to use any artifacts.

Announcer: The next two adventurers get in your place.

The two adventurers walk out.

Nicholas: Hey! That guy! He is the one I bumped into he really is participating.

Audience: Hey look at that guys sword! It's looks like it's about to break anytime. How is he going to fight?

Old man: He came here with that sword in that condition. Is it his confidence or his desperation?

Announcer: Adventurers! Fight!

Just like last time one of the Adventurers attack first. The man in the black stands still.

Audience: Hey! Is he trying to compete with Alaric? Give up man he is a Nobel.

Announcer: Will it go like last time?

As the sword reaches the man chest he throws a punch and smashes the head of the Adventurer to the ground.

Audience: He actually did it!

Old man: Looks like this tornament will be alot fun! I am getting excited!

Audience: The old man is getting excited! We are in for some entertainment.

Nicholas: That guy is strong! I really am lucky he ignored me.

The tornament continues, Alaric and the man in black keep winning all their matches.

Audience: They are trying to have them both fight at the finals!

Old man: Man! I can't wait for it. It's getting boring watching them win so easily.

Announcer: Now for the first match of the semi finals the man in the black will be fighting Luka!

Audience: What? Wasn't it supposed to be the finals now? And where did Luka come from?

Old man: The one who won the tornament last year! They got him to fight directly in the semi finals, kinda unfair.

Nicholas: This is so unexpected! I am so glad I came to watch this tornament.

Announcer: Adventurers! Fight!

Luka: Go on! I will let you attack first.

Audience: Even he is trying to do the same thing. But that won't work with that guy.

Old man: Luka is underestimating him.

The man in black prepares to attack.

Luka: Come on then.

Luka pulls his sword out.

The man in black attacks Luka with his fists but he is unable to hit him. He can't get close to Luka. Luka is using his sword to keep him at a distance.

Audience: What are you doing? Luka is one of the best swordsman in the Kindom you cannot beat him with your bare hands. Use your sword. Even though it's about to break. It's your own fault to bring one like that.

Old man: He has got guts I will say.

The man in black takes out his sword and attacks Luka.

Luka: That's more like it.

Luka blocks all the attacks from him and manages to leave a cut on his right arm.

Announcer: That's Luka for you ladies and gentlemen! Even the man in black is having trouble to fight him.

Old man: Luka is born with a vardaan and His talent is one of its kind.

Audience: Can you explain that a bit?

Old man: Vardaan are a kind of blessing. There are two types of Vardaan. One which is given to you at birth, this vardaan is given to you by the very existence itself. Other one is given to you by the Devtas ,you can get this Vardaan anytime of your life by pleasing the Devtas or gaining their recognition. Luka was born with his vardaan.

Audience: Do you know what that is?

Old man: With his vardaan Luka's eyesight is so incredible that he can see the smallest of movements, allowing him to figure out his opponents movement even before they move. Your muscles have to contract in order to move. Luka can see that and predict your movements.

Audience: How are you supposed to fight against that!

Old man: That's for that man to figure out. We are just here to enjoy the show. Hahaha.

The man in black keeps attacking Luka.

Luka: Can't you see it's useless! You can't hit me.

Man in black: Then why aren't you hitting back?

Luka takes it personally and throws a counter attack but the man dodges it easily.

Luka: Lucky.

Man in black: You are free to try again.

The man in black starts to attack Luka again. Luka avoids all the attacks and throws a counter attack. The man again dodges it easily.

Audience: Woah! They both can't hit eachother.

Luka: Let's see how long you can keep this up.

Man in black: That's the plan.

They both keep fighting for 2 hours straight and none of them hit eachother. Luka starts to get tired.

Luka: Enough already! I will end this now.

Luka attacks the man but the man stands still in his place.

Luka: What happened? To tired to move.

Audience: They both have been fighting for 2 hours but it looks like this will be the end.

Announcer: Are you all ready for what is about to happen?

As Luka's attack is about to reach the man he puts his sword back and makes a fist and hits Luka in his stomach making him puke. Then he grabs Luka by his head and smashes it to the ground.

Audience: Hey! Did he have to go so far?

Old man: He seems to have a personal grudge against him.

Announcer: There you have it! The first match of the semi finals is over! And the winner is the man in the black!

Audience: I can't believe Luka lost.

Old man: He probably never had to fight for so long. That man in black seems to never get tired. How hard must he have trained.

Nicholas: I will be sure to see where I am looking at while walking next time.

Announcer: Now for the next match of the semi finals! First we have Alaric Leyen!

Audience: Yeah!

Announcer: And the one fighting him will be!

A tall woman in shiny armour walks out.

Announcer: Wait wait wait? Is that?..... Lady Caroline? What is the Grandmaster of the Knights of Wolfgang doing here!?

Audience: What is happening? Is lady Caroline taking part in this tornament? Alaric is doomed!

Old man: Well there is no rule that the Grandmaster cannot fight in the tornament but I am still surprised.

The old man faints.

Audience: Someone call a doctor! This is too much even for the old man!

Nicholas: So that's the Grandmaster! Her armour looks so amazing I have to record it! And her famous sword Luna! I have to record about it too!

Announcer: Now is no time to be surprised! Both of the competitors! Fight!

Alaric gets down on one of his knee.

Alaric: I concede my defeat. I have no intention to fight the Grandmaster.

Caroline: Pretty humble for a nobel. I like that.

Alaric: I am not stupid enough to think I have a chance against you.

Caroline: You are boring. I am here for the other one anyway.

Announcer: Winner of this match is Lady Caroline! The final match will be between the man in black and lady Caroline! But since last the fight took so long the final match is delayed till tomorrow.

Audience: Aww man we can't wait till tomorrow. Don't make us wait for so long!

Nicholas: The Grandmaster is gonna fight tomorrow! But i have to do what I am here for i should get going.

Nicholas heads out of the arena. As Nicholas is walking on the street he gets covered by a shadow of a person behind him. Nicholas looks back and looses the smile on his face. It's the man in black.

Man in black: Sorry for bumping into you earlier kid.

Nicholas: It's okay it was my fault I wasn't looking forward.( He is a good person! I thought he is here get revenge or something.)

Man in black: You are a nice kid. What's your name?

Nicholas: It's Nicholas.

Man in black: Hi Nicholas! My name's Gold!
