Reiki’s Room
From the outside Reiki climbed up and slid open the window as he made his way inside. He thought. My bad habit of never locking my window came in handy. He closed the window and started to untie his shoelaces, Reiki continued his train of thought. I never expected you to lend me your help when asked. He placed the shoes near the wall below the window and made his way to the bed. Reiki plopped down as he stared at the ceiling, he thought. You won’t hear me complain, I keep getting the better end of the deal…
Reiki made himself comfortable on the bed and waited for Ender to say something. Reiki thought. … Is there even a benefit for me eating dragon meat by the kilo? Ender spoke in his head and said. [There is.] Reiki sat up on the bed as his eyes lit up, he thought. What are they? Ender said. [Q doesn’t go hungry.] Reiki’s eyes narrowed, he thought. Oh… He laid back on the bed and stared at the ceiling while Ender’s voice rang in his head. He said. [Do you remember the first time you had dragon meat.]
Reiki placed his hands behind his head, he thought. Yep, I remember. Can’t forget that time I had an ice bath from nearly being cooked alive from the inside out. He closed his eyes as Ender spoke in his head, he said. [It purified half of your blood, leaving the other half ‘murky’.] Reiki half opened his eyes, he thought. Wouldn’t that contaminate the clean blood? Ender said. [Since your body is young, the murky blood isn’t as bad. A couple of years before it starts deteriorating back to dirty blood.]
Reiki let out a yawn which he didn’t bother to cover with his hand, he thought. Do I need any herbs to cleanse my body of impurities? He gently scratched his chest while Ender’s voice rang in his head, he said. [Since you have Q, it makes everything a lot easier. But first, you need to get rid of those spells those wannabe gods ‘gifted’ you.] Reiki opened his eyes as his pupils were hollow and empty, he spoke in a cold jaded tone. He said. “Don’t worry, I have three people in mind. Torturing and killing them again will be just as enjoyable in this life compared to my last one.”
Reiki blinked once as his eyes turned back to normal, he stood up from the bed and picked up his shoes. He thought. Time to put these in the shoe compartment and put on a pair of indoor slippers. Reiki made his way to the door, opened it, and walked down the short hallway. Reiki heard noise coming from the living room and thought. … Someone’s here… His eyes narrowed as he continued his train of thought. I made sure to lock the front door…
When he reached the bottom of the stairs Reiki saw Ketsueki, Namida, and Sachi sitting on the couch holding onto large bowls of ice cream sundaes that were overloaded with all sorts of toppings. All three of the girls saw him from the couch as Reiki took one step back as Ketsueki spoke in a frosty tone. She said. “Reiki… Shouldn’t you be in school?...” A wry smile slowly formed on his face, Reiki said. “... Today was a half day?...” Ketsueki didn’t believe him as her eyes narrowed. Namida gave him a salute with her hand that was holding onto the spoon that had some ice cream on it, she said. “How’s it hanging Reiki?”
Reiki gave her a nod and said. “Nice to see you again Namida.” Sachi showed him the large bowl of ice cream she was holding, she said. “Want some ice cream?” Reiki shook his head sideways and said. “I’ll pass, just give my share to Shiro. I have to make a few batches for dinner today.” Sachi and Namida’s eyes lit up. Namida stabbed her spoon into the mountain of ice cream in her bowl, she said. “Make sure to make a couple more portions for Sachi and me.”
Ketsueki glared at her friends and said. “They are not, I’m kicking you two out before the sun sets.” Sachi used her spoon to scoop some whipped cream, she said. “We are, don’t listen to her.” Namida glanced around the room and said. “Where’s the white bird?” Without missing a beat, Reiki said. “I think I left her in…” He thought. … Kiru’s house…

Kiru’s Living Room
Kiru was sitting on the couch while holding onto a see-through cube with a light orange plasma ball, she said. “Study the structure?... How am I supposed to do that?” Her pupils faintly glowed as she stared at the ball of plasma, one of the doors opened as Kanzei made his way to the couch.
From his pocket, Kanzei took out a fountain pen and a notebook. He said. “Ojou-sama, here you go.” Kiru placed the see-through cube on the table as Kanzei’s gaze wandered onto the three-tiered stand and said. “Ojou-sama, since you’re currently occupied with… Studying, I’ll just save this for your dinner.” Kanzei snapped his fingers as the tiered stand vanished, with furrowed brow Kiru kept her gaze on the ball of plasma as she took the notebook and pen off his hands. She said. “Thank you Kanzei, can you tell me what was your first thought when Reiki said structure?”
Kanzei crossed his arms and said. “I thought of a building's structure. Foundation, frame, and walls. If you were to skip a few steps of creating a house, the most important part would be the exterior.” Kiru opened the notebook, took the cap off the fountain pen, and placed it on the barrel. On the top of the page, she wrote the word structure in english and stared at the ball of plasma. Kanzei turned his head at one of the doors as his gaze narrowed, he thought. What is-.
From the center of the door, a white streak came out of it, the white streak made its way to the coffee table as an albino crow appeared on the coffee table. Kiru glanced at the crow as she went back to writing, she stopped as she turned her head. She said. “... Cherry, why are you still here? Reiki already left.” Kiru turned her head as she saw Kanzei pocketing a simple knife, she continued. “Kanzei… Where has she been all this time when Reiki was here?” Cherry lifted one of her wings as one of her feathers was gold which easily stood out.
Kanzei’s brows furrowed as he noticed the gold feather, he said. “I… Don’t know… Reiki came here with her on his shoulder and vanished…” He thought. That’s gold. He made his way around the couch and stood beside the coffee table. Kanzei moved his hand closer to the gold feather on Cherry’s wing as she pulled her wing back and let out a caw. Kiru was writing in her notebook, she said. “Kanzei, did you have the same thought as me?” Kanzei nodded as he kept his eyes on Cherry who pecked something under her wing.
Kiru’s pupils faintly glowed as she stared at the orange plasma ball on the coffee table, she said. “How did she bypass three doors that require the doorknobs to be in specific positions?” Kanzei’s eyes narrowed as dozens of mana hands started growing on his back, he said. “I’m more curious about how she managed to get through the layer of anti-magic metal around it.” Kiru started drawing textile structures on the notebook, she said. “There’s that too…” She placed the fountain pen on the coffee table as her right hand was covered in a thin layer of mana.
Kiru started drawing five different textile structures at the same time, she said. “Get that feather.” The countless mana hands behind Kanzei’s back suddenly grew in size as a few dozen of them tried to grab Cherry. The crow was surrounded by dozens of mana hands as all of them tried to grab the bird. All the hands collided with each other creating a small shock in the room while Cherry appeared on the couch beside Kiru as she glanced at the drawings on the notebook and compared it with the mana textile structure in the air.
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
Kiru finished the five mana structures at the same time as she started making another five with different designs. She glanced at the crow beside her and thought. Why do I get the feeling she’s judging me?... The hands by the coffee table merged into one large hand and tried to grab Cherry on the couch. Cherry turned into a streak of white as it passed through the mana hand as she made her way onto Kanzei’s left shoulder. Kiru finished the five mana textile structures as all ten of them vanished, she thought. I can do this all day… What did he mean by structure? When did spells have them?
She closed the notebook she was holding while Cherry was flying around Kanzei as she was being followed by countless mana hands that were phasing through each other. The large hand that was connected to Kanzei’s back split itself as it started chasing the crow, Kanzei was watching Cherry with interest. He thought. Interesting… She has the ability to pass through magic… That doesn’t explain how Cherry managed to get through the layer of anti-magic… He snapped his fingers as mana hands started to grow from the floor, walls, and ceiling.
All hands started chasing after Cherry who turned into a streak of white mid-air as it followed her trajectory. Kiru watched Kanzei trying to catch the bird, she said. “Kanzei, I think you should stop. Since it’s just one feather, you can just do a check on the vault.” All the mana hands vanished as Cherry made her way to the window and phased through it.

Ketsueki’s House
Reiki pointed at the ceiling and said. “... Cherry’s-.” Before he could finish a streak of white went down the stairway as an albino crow appeared on his right shoulder. He gestured at the bird and said. “Here, Cherry’s here.”
He took a couple of steps toward the kitchen and continued. “I’ll be in the kitchen making ice cream.” Ketsueki used a spoon to scoop some ice cream from her large bowl, she said. “You haven’t told me what happened to school.” Reiki came to a stop, he said. “What flavors did you three want again?” Namida used her thumb to wipe some whipped cream on the corner of her lip, she said. “Mint chocolate chip.” Sachi gulped and said. “Coffee for me.” The anger on Ketsueki’s face vanished.
She said. “Can you make some cookies and mix them in for mine?” Reiki nodded as a hint of confusion appeared on his face, he said. “Onee-chan, didn’t you want a different flavor before?” Ketsueki moved the spoon closer to her mouth, she said. “I did, but now I want something sickly sweet.” She ate a spoonful of ice cream while Reiki made his way to the kitchen, he thought. Shiro wanted rocky road, so I need to double the amount of cookies and make some brownies. Sachi glanced at Ketsueki while Namida let out a chuckle and said. “Reiki managed to weasel his way out of the question.” Ketsueki ate another spoonful of ice cream as she came to a quick realization.
Reiki reached the small kitchen as he let out a sigh of relief, he thought. I managed to dodge the question… Hopefully, Onee-chan won’t bring it up later… Cherry was on his shoulder as she extended her wing which had a single gold feather on it. The sun reflected off it as the light got into Reiki’s eye, he blocked it with his hand and thought. … Is that a gold feather?... He reached his hand out to it.
Ender’s voice rang in his head, he said. [I wouldn’t recommend doing that unless you're interested in destroying the sink.] Reiki moved his arm away as made his way to the fridge and opened it, he thought. Wait, if her feather had gold in it. Wouldn’t that mean Cherry can use every single one of her feathers to store items. He opened the freezer drawer on the bottom and took out a cylinder-shaped metal bowl that was frozen overnight. Reiki continued his train of thought. I hope Namida has some peppermint extract because I don’t Onee-chan knows where to buy one.
~Three Hours Later~
Ketsueki, Namida, and Sachi were sitting on the couch holding onto a bowl of ice cream that had half a dozen flavors. Ketsueki used the spoon to point at the flatscreen and said. “Namida, I know you bought this flatscreen but can we watch something else?” She scooped some ice cream in her bowl and continued. “I don’t care for any of the soap operas you two watch.” Namida rolled her eyes, with a wave of her hand the remote flew into her palm as she switched the channel. She said. “Fine, there should be a movie airing right about now.”
She tapped on the button of the remote as the channel changed into an action movie. Sachi let out a gasp as she grabbed Namida’s hand by the wrist and applied some pressure. Sachi said. “What are you doing?! He was about to propose!” Namida felt her iron grip as she tried to place the remote back on the coffee table, she said. “Can you let go of my hand? You’re going to tear the skin off.” Sachi let go of her friend's arm and said. “Why did you change the channel? It was just getting to the good part.”
She let out an exaggerated sigh while Ketsueki let out a chuckle. Sachi slightly leaned forward as she glared at her from the side of her eye, she said. “I heard the chuckle.” Namida ate a spoonful of mint chocolate chip ice cream, she thought. This is going to be good. She leaned on the backrest of the couch while Ketsueki rolled her eyes and said. “It’s fiction, you do realize none of those circumstances will ever happen to someone in the real world.” Namida glanced at her bowl as she placed her hand in her pocket.
Sachi gestured at the TV and said. “Yes, those circumstances can happen to someone.” Namida took out a can of whipped cream, she gave it a good shake and thought. Not as good as Reiki’s, but it’ll have to do. She placed her bowl on her lap, took the cap off, and sprayed a generous amount of whipped cream on her bowl. She had some ice cream in her mouth while the corner of Ketsueki’s lips curled into a smirk, she gulped and said. “Then where’s your rich pretty boy who threw off the engagement of a girl who was perfect for him? Invested in stocks and made billions overnight?”
Sachi couldn’t find any words to say while Ketsueki gently elbowed Namida and said. “Namida, if you listen closely you can hear all the perfect cliche lovers knocking on my front door.” Namida placed the cap back on the can and pocketed it. She ate a spoonful of coffee ice cream that had a mountain of whipped cream on top as some of it got on the tip of her nose. A few moments of silence passed as the sound of gunshots coming from the TV filled the room.
Sachi let out a chuckle as her lips formed into a smile, she said. “Bitch fuck off, the day I get picked up by my prince charming from England on his white horse you’ll be the first one to see me in a bikini on my private yacht.” Namida used her thumb to wipe the whipped cream on her nose while Ketsueki scooped some ice cream from her bowl and said. “No thanks, we three have been to onsens already. I’ve seen more than what prince charming could ever imagine.” Namida instantly burst into laughter as she almost dropped her bowl onto the floor.
Namida’s laughter filled the room while Sachi scoop some vanilla ice cream that had large chunks of chocolate chip cookies in them. She said. “Well, prince charming doesn’t need to know that.” Namida’s laughter slowly came to a halt as she licked the whipped cream off her thumb, she wiped a tear from the corner of her eye and said. “God my sides hurt and cheeks hurt.” She picked up the spoon in her bowl and didn’t notice Ketsueki’s hand was inside her pocket. Ketsueki took out a can of whipped cream and said. “Thanks.”
Namida had ice cream in her mouth, she placed the spoon in the bowl and tried to take the can back. Ketsueki’s bowl of ice cream was on her lap as she used her right hand to prevent Namida from taking the can of whipped cream. Ketsueki said. “Holding back on us again Namida?” She shook the can a few times and took the cap off using her thumb. Namida gulped down a mouthful of ice cream and said. “Fucker, give me back my can.” Ketsueki sprayed a generous amount of whipped cream in her bowl and threw the can over Namida as Sachi caught it.
Ketsueki scooped some rocky road that was covered in whipped cream, she said. “Not the first time you said that to us.” She moved her attention back to the action movie while Namida let out a sigh while Sachi sprayed whipped cream all over her bowl of ice cream and passed the can back to her. Namida took the can from her friends and shook it a couple of times, she thought. There’s barely half of it left! Namida turned her head to face Ketsueki and said. “Where’s the cap?” Ketsueki kept her eyes on the movie, she said. “Somewhere behind the couch.”
Namida placed her bowl of ice cream on the coffee table and stood up from the couch. She made her way around the couch and said. “The only good thing about you is that body of yours.” Namida squatted down behind the couch to pick up the cap while Sachi and Ketsueki stole a couple of large scoops from Namida’s bowl of ice cream. The two girls placed the stolen scoops of ice cream into their bowls while Namida managed to find the cap and stood up, she said. “It was under the couch.”
She lightly blew in the cap to clean out the dust and saw her ice cream had a couple of larger holes in it, Namida gritted her teeth and said. “Stop stealing my food.” Ketsueki kept her gaze on the movie, she used the spoon to point at her, she said. “Then stop leaving it unguarded. We’ve done this countless times already, when are you going to learn?” Namida appeared sitting on the couch as she placed the cap back on the can of whipped cream, she said. “I keep forgetting you two nothing but leeches around me.”
Namida pocketed the can as she picked up her bowl on the coffee table, none of them noticed Shiro peeking while hiding behind a corner of a wall. Shiro said. “Onee-chan, I’m back.” Ketsueki wiped her lips with the back of her hand as she turned her upper body sideways, she said. “Shiro, welcome back. How was school?” Shiro made her way to the couch, her gaze was glued onto the bowls of ice cream the moment she saw it, she said. “School was fine, they gave us a bit more homework than usual.”
She had a hint of drool from the corner of her mouth and wiped it off using the long sleeve of her blazer, Shiro continued. “Namida-nee, Sachi-nee. Hello.” Namida nodded at her as she scooped some ice cream from her bowl, she said. “Hi cottontail, make sure to study hard. Ok?.” Sachi gave her a friendly smile and said. “If you need any help with your homework, you know where to find us.” Shiro’s gaze was darting back to the bowl of ice cream, she said. “I will, Namida-nee. Sachi-nee, thank you. When I find a question I can’t answer I’ll ask for help.”
Shiro was fidgeting with her hands, she said. “... Where is Onii-chan?...” Ketsueki’s lips curled into a small smile, she said. “I’ll tell Reiki to give you a bowl of ice cream when you finish all of your homework-.” Before she could finish, Shiro quickly made her way up the stairs. Shiro said. “Bye Onee-chan!” Namida gulped down a mouthful of ice cream, she said. “How long do you think it’ll take Reiki to finish the cherry ice cream?” Ketsueki used her spoon to scoop some whipped cream, she said. “Don’t know, they do contain a lot of mana.”
