While the entrance was overrun with nature, the tunnels themselves were well kept. Thanks to its distance from the city center, most people were able to get out in time when the break hit. There wasn't the same trail of belongings left behind or broken turnstiles found at other stations.
It wouldn't have been surprising if someone were to flick on a switch and the lights were to turn on. Followed slowly by the hum of people making their way up and down the stairs to catch the next car. It felt like the station was still alive. Maybe, it was asleep. Maybe it was waiting.

"How much further?"
"We should be coming up on a T-junction that'll take us further down."
The team moved slowly. With Cyrus taking up point and Jinyoung following close behind. Anything that attacked from the front would be facing the two top ranking cadets of the academy, while Johann followed behind guiding them with the map.
"Any signs of trouble yet?"
"Not yet, Seah. But we'll call out if we see anything."
Seah took up the rear guard. She was charged with making sure nothing snuck up on them, but also with protecting Hana, the freshman.

"Eyes up, Jinyoung."
Cyrus was staring dead ahead. A set of stairs led down to the B2 level of the station where they would find their checkpoint. But between them, a small party of undead were milling about.
The two in the lead pressed themselves low behind a pillar, peaking out to take a headcount. Seeing their teammates stiffen, the rest moved to the edges of the hallway and ducked down.
Jinyoung signaled back to the others.
Five enemies. Low-leveled. Move into ambush formation. 1 to 1.
The team slowly spread out as they'd been trained to do. Each one picked out a target and moved silently through the shadows. Hana, the youngest and least experienced, knew from her lessons the team leader would move first and the rest would follow immediately after. Cyrus made eye contact with each member of his team before readying his sword and silently slipping out from behind the pillar.
There was no war cry or skill charge. The undead were weak enough that a surprise attack would lead to one-hit kills for most of the team. He closed the gap as quickly as he could and swung his sword hard. Wordlessly, the target's body found itself without a head.

Nearby Johann effortlessly hit his target with two perfect arrows through the head. Seah's target was furthest so she hit it with a dagger to the back before making it close enough to bury another blade in its skull. Jinyoung moved last and used his [DASH] skill to move in close impossibly quickly and behead his own target. Hana sprinted in close and used a heavy slash to cleave her opponent nearly in two making a CLANG! when her blade hit the tiled floor.
The team stiffened and waited silently. Waiting for signs that something had heard that. That something might be coming.
