Chapter 49. Collision

Chapter 49. Collision

In this chaotic battle, where the military clashed with the Fireball group, Alexander recognized the guy with glasses - the lord of the animals. This young man with a confident and decisive look commanded the birds, directing them to attack Zeus. It was his moment of power, but it didn't last long. Suddenly, Zeus spun in a whirlwind, creating a semblance of a sphere of lightning and burned all the birds. The guy fell to his knees, overwhelmed with anger and despair, screamed:

- No! Bastard! My friends! - this moment became fatal for him.

One of Fireball's companions threw a huge boulder with incredible force, which hit the ground with a roar, instantly crushing the unfortunate animal lord. Following this, a menacing order was heard from Fireball’s supporters:

- Burn them, otherwise they will resurrect! - it was a call for ruthless reprisals in which there was no place for mercy.

Alexander, in the body of a hare, despite his small form, felt that his role in this conflict was not yet over. Reflections of fire and lightning flashed in his bestial eyes, and his heart beat in time with the chaos unfolding around him.

The battlefield at the oil refinery turned into an arena for the clash of unprecedented forces. The Russian army, which included more than ten supers with various abilities, began an active assault on the plant. They were opposed by forty people from Fireball, warriors not trained in proper discipline, but ready to fight to the end.

In this tense atmosphere, Alexander realized that Zeus, having stopped attacking, was about to run away. And indeed, the next moment Zeus disappeared in a bright flash of lightning, leaving an emptiness in the air where he had just been floating.

The forces on the battlefield were stunning: soldiers with fire-breathing hands, fighters who could control land and water, those who could turn invisible or fly. All this created a feeling of chaos in which the laws of physics seemed to be abolished.

In this turmoil, when Alexander almost became a victim of a ghostly hammer that suddenly appeared in the air, Ivan came to his aid. Burnt, but full of determination, Ivan picked up the hare by the ears and placed him on his shoulder. Suddenly, a powerful explosion was heard behind them, and the shock wave threw them aside, but Ivan remained on his feet, despite the force of the explosion.

The man just had time to turn towards the explosion when a thin, deadly line suddenly pierced his body. Alexander, in the body of a hare, instantly realized that this was the work of one of the bandits who had recently robbed a warehouse in an army town. There he also shot a laser at him, but missed; here, the skill managed to reach its victim. Ivan, mortally wounded, fell to his knees and died, maintaining his pride and without bending his back.

Ivan's killer, beaten but satisfied with his action, approached them. Seeing the hare, he mockingly said:

- Oh, it's you, you furry pervert! Alive! - but his ridicule was cut off mid-sentence.

The hare, still on the lifeless Ivan's shoulder, suddenly jumped at the attacker. At that moment, he mentally pulled the threads of his soul and, as if by magic, his paws turned into ice claws. With incredible speed and precision, the hare tore the smile from the killer's face, turning his triumph into horror and painful death.

Alexander the hare, who had just killed the bandit, landed on the scorched ground. Sprinkled with blood, he felt a wave of energy from the murder pour into his body, filling him with a sense of strength and power. It was a strangely pleasant and at the same time uplifting feeling.

Suddenly, his attention was caught by the appearance of a huge fiery sun. Fireball, powerful and indomitable, was preparing a new, possibly devastating attack. But before Fireball could carry out his plan, the sky was lit up by bright flashes, and then the entire space of the plant was filled with a thundering cannonade of sounds. The Russian army began a massive rocket attack on the plant. One after another, the rockets fell to the ground, causing powerful explosions.

The fate of the superhumans at the plant remained unknown. Some may have died, but their death was not final. In this world, death rejected everyone, and even gave gifts. Everyone could return to their bodies if they passed through the lands of the Edge - a mystical dimension where one could either return to life or be destroyed forever.

Alexander the Hare, realizing the danger of the moment, surrounded himself with a protective ice shield. He hid while the ground shook under the incessant shelling, which lasted at least half an hour.

When the barrage of shelling finally subsided, the hare, inhabited by a human soul, slowly crawled out from under the rubble. His protective ice shield, supported by the power of absorbed souls, saved him from several nearby missiles. Everything around was on fire, the smell of death was in the air. The hare, once snow-white, was now stained with soot and dirt.

He jumped among the ruins of the plant, avoiding burnt debris and remains of destruction. Soon his attention was drawn to the body of Fireball. He was kneeling on one of the elevations, missing one arm, but alive. The hare ran up to him, making careful jumps among the destruction.

Having reached the Fireball, the hare stopped in front of it and stood on its hind legs. Fireball looked ahead with a dull gaze, apparently experiencing shock from the trauma and loss he had suffered. His body trembled weakly, but gradually his gaze focused on the hare in front of him.

- Poor thing... It's good that you survived. - Fireball said in a tired voice. - This battle has claimed too many lives and taken too many...

These words were full of bitterness and sadness. Fireball, once powerful and omnipotent, now looked broken and tired. This was the moment when great heroes and villains became equal in the face of destruction and death.

In front of Roman, his first friend in this world where Alexander was stripped of his memories, he had no intention of hiding his true identity or his powers. Alexander activated his frosty claws, tugging at the invisible threads of his soul. Seeing this, Roman, exhausted and tired, said:

- Apparently, it’s my destiny to die from something from the Edge. I didn’t even know that you had already penetrated into our world... A quiet life will no longer be seen...

However, Alexander had no intention of fighting. He just scratched the words on the stone slab:

"It's me. Sasha." - it turned out a little crooked, but quite readable, but Roman could not understand what they wanted from him, his mind was stunned by the shock of the events he had suffered.

Alexander, realizing this, removed his claws and thought, at that moment he felt the familiar touch of fur. The hare decided to take advantage of the light breeze. It was his own technique, developed by him and Roman during their previous training. Alexander directed a stream of air to his paw and blew it forcefully right into Roman’s face.

The wind suddenly brought Roman to his senses. He looked at the hare in disbelief, and, finally realizing that this was his friend, he exclaimed:

- Alex! Are you alive! I thought I lost you forever! Friend! - Roman hugged the hare tightly with one hand, tears flowing down his face.

In this tense and emotional moment, Roman, moving away from the hare, asked:

- Alex, what happened to you?

Alexander, pondering the answer, again took out his frosty claws and scratched on the stone:

- The body was burned. New I.

Roman could not resist and began to talk about what happened to him during this time:

- I want to tell you so much, friend. You went to Saratov and it all started... Now I’m kind of like the head of the opposition to the Russian army. The Americans offered to help because of our training videos. Many thanked me, returning from the Brink with new abilities. - Alexander the Hare nodded, listening carefully to his words. But suddenly Roman became alarmed: “We have to leave!” I thought about giving up, but now I realize that things didn't go according to plan. The army knows about us, and soon they will come here again... And here they are...

At that moment, they both turned around and saw Sofia. Her breasts were partially exposed, but that didn't seem important to her. Her palms were covered in ice, she was ready to fight. Roman also prepared for battle by creating fireballs in his hands.

Alexander realized that his best friend and his savior could now collide, and he could not allow this. With determination, he created a shield, changing its shape to resemble a wall to separate potential opponents. He did not want them to fight, realizing that at this moment it was more important to maintain unity and mutual understanding than to succumb to external pressure and conflicts.

Sofia had mixed emotions of bewilderment and anger on her face when she saw how the hare Alexander, possessing extraordinary wisdom and strength, protected Roman, known as Fireball. Her voice was filled with worry and disbelief as she shouted:

- Bead! Why are you protecting him? - her gaze, filled with anticipation of an answer, met the silent but speaking gaze of the hare.

In the silence, broken only by the sounds of the receding battle and the distant echoes of explosions, Roman spoke. His voice sounded tired, but there was hope in it:

- Come with me? Together we can do everything right. Fix everything. Will you go? - his gaze was fixed on the hare, seeking support and understanding. But the hare, shrewdly assessing the situation, shook his head, expressing his refusal.

Roman accepted the hare’s refusal with sadness in his voice and began to slowly rise.

“I understand, it’s not time yet...” he said, his voice filled with irreconcilable determination. - See you, Snowflake. Be careful not to lose the hare, he is special.

Roman suddenly disappeared into the night, turning into a bright fiery comet. Sofia, left alone with the hare, exclaimed:

- Hey, I didn’t let you go! - but her words disappeared into thin air. She approached the hare, who was now standing next to her, with his shield he protected both of them from a possible fight.

- And what was that? - she asked, feeling excitement and bewilderment. But the hare remained silent, his gaze was directed into the distance where the Fireball flew away.

Sofia, carefully taking the hare in her arms, pressed him to her. Her bare chest was covered in a thin layer of dust and soot from the destruction. She began to walk down to the ruins of the factory, where military vehicles had already begun to assemble. At this time, tension and uncertainty about the future were in the air. Later, in the news, this incident will be described as a landslide victory for the army over a group of bandits and murderers, but for Sophia and the hare it was just another moment in their complex and tangled history.

After returning to the military town, surrounded by the shadows of gloomy walls and looming towers, the atmosphere was filled with a sense of fleetingness and uncertainty. A little earlier, Alexander that Andrei and Ivan managed to be revived, and their group united again, he fell into a peaceful sleep, gently sucking Sofia’s finger. She, like a cloud ready to burst with rain, hid her emotions under a mask of gloomy calm. No one knew about Bead's decision to protect Fireball and let him leave.

Ivan, who has acute intuition, felt that Sofia was hiding something, but he preferred to maintain his distance, respecting her silence. Andrei, on the contrary, was full of questions, trying to unravel the mystery, but his curiosity was harshly suppressed by Sofia. Now in the armored personnel carrier, he sat opposite her, shrouded in silent, touchy stubbornness.

In this battle, which left three supermen completely dead on the battlefield, the Russian army lost less than the Fireball group. Surprisingly, the animal master guy survived thanks to the rock that crushed him, protecting him from the fire until workers cleared the rubble and he was able to resurrect.

Alexander continued to sleep in Sofia’s room, even when he was brought there and did not wake up for a long time, while Ivan’s group held meetings with the leadership of the military camp. His sleep was deep and calm, as if he were sheltering from the storm of reality, resting for the new trials and battles that lay ahead.

When Alexander woke up from sleep, he was immediately overcome by bewilderment from unclear sounds and subtle groans. In the room, dimly lit by the soft light that came through the half-closed curtains, he saw Sofia and Ivan in each other's arms.

Their movements were graceful and soft, reminiscent of an ancient dance, full of grace and deep understanding. Sofia, like a statue created from marble and moonlight, reflected genuine femininity and elegance. Ivan, with his strong but at the same time gentle appearance, was her ideal partner in this silent ritual of intimacy.

Alexander, realizing that he had become an involuntary witness to this intimate moment, felt as if he was outside of time and space. There was no room for embarrassment or awkwardness in his gaze, only deep respect for the personal space of two people finding comfort and understanding in each other.

Bowing his head and looking away, he enveloped himself in silence and fell back into sleep. His final view of the couple, absorbed in each other in the warm, soft light, was full of poetic beauty and a subtle understanding of human emotions that is so rare in a world where passions and conflicts boil.

When Alexander woke up for the second time, the sounds that reached his ears were still the same - moans and quiet panting coming from Sofia's bed.

- Wow, Ivan is a male! - flashed through his mind. He turned to look at the source of the sounds, expecting to see a familiar scene, but instead, something unexpected met his gaze. This time it was Andrey who was on Sofia, and they were engrossed in a passionate act of love.

Alexander was amazed and at the same time surprised by this turn of events.

“Life didn’t prepare me for such polygamy...” flashed through his head. He turned away again, trying to block out what was happening behind him. The sounds coming from the couple - their moans and panting - were filled with passion and emotions that seemed alien and distant to Alexander in his current state.

Lying on his mat, he tossed and turned, trying to find peace, but the sounds coming from the bed kept him awake. He lay in the dark, overcome with a mixture of emotions - from surprise to bewilderment - until silence reigned in the room and he finally floated into the world of dreams.

At dawn the next day, in a room filled with dim morning light, Sophia sat on the floor, naked, with a drooping and hunched figure that expressed her inner restlessness and depression. She slowly and tenderly stroked the hare's white fur. How and when they managed to wash him so carefully, Alexander did not know.

Tears slowly flowed down Sofia's cheeks as she quietly whispered:

- What should I do with you, Businka? What should I even do?

The previous night of passion, when she succumbed to the advances of first Ivan and then Andrei, did not bring her the expected peace of mind. She was confused and full of doubts. At this moment, Alexander looked at her. He carefully climbed onto her smooth legs and looked at Sofia, with his eyes full of understanding and sympathy. Her weak smile was full of sadness. Then, after a moment's thought, the hare stood up on his hind legs and hugged her stomach, as if trying to convey his support and warmth to her.

- Forgive me, Sophia. I’m breaking your usual world... - Alexander thought, feeling her return embrace. Sofia, not holding back her emotions, began to sob loudly, hugging the hare. She spoke a lot, pouring out all her experiences and fears that had accumulated in her soul. Alexander, understanding his role in her unrest, simply held her tightly, giving her the opportunity to speak out and clear herself of accumulated feelings.

So they hugged until Sofia cried all her tears and expressed all her experiences, finding comfort and understanding in this quiet, sincere moment of communication between souls.
