There was a forest of long, flaming necks inside a cave within an active volcano. At the top of this forest, lizard-like skulls were popping like zits, one after another, at such speed that even the hydra was having trouble regenerating them.
“Curse you, hero!”
The hydra canceled the flames covering its body and instead began shooting them from its maws. Countless oversized flamethrowers converged on Finn’s position, but no matter how much they tried, they simply could not hit him.
Sometimes, the man disappeared right before contact, while other times he got hit, only to reappear somewhere else. No matter what, he received no damage and the heads which hunted him were quickly destroyed.
At one point, Natalie was looking at him as he evaded, when she heard a voice coming from behind.
“So, how do we kill it? Surely, you thought it out.”
Natalie turned around to see Finn smiling at her. She then turned her head and saw he was also 150 feet away dogging flame breaths.
“Don’t bother asking,” the man shrugged. “I don’t understand it much either. If I want to be somewhere I’m there. If I want to be in multiple places at once, I’m there. The farther the distance, the more mana I consume, but if I’m strong enough and I will it, this world just… submits.”
Flames came flying towards the Finn next to Natalie and his body was destroyed at almost the same time as the hydra heads which shot at him. Not even a second later, he re-appeared near Natalie with a light shrug and an oblivious smile.
“You’re projecting your energy into the distance and your body follows."

“I thought so too at first, but is it really that simple?” 50 Finns suddenly appeared all at once, each of them stabbing a hydra head to death. “I don’t think you can put a neat little bow on this level of magic. I sort of understand your flames too, but I have no idea how to replicate them, and I’m quite sure you don’t either.”
"Yes. Finn, what happens when you use the other…"
“Do not ignore me!”
Suddenly, the hydra heads and necks burst, spraying molten magma into the entire cave. A wave of magma formed immediately, leaving no place to hide and reaching all the way to where Caroline was flying.
The girl tried to summon another crystal around her, but it took too long, so the magma enveloped her. She closed her eyes and braced for the impact.
A moment later, she heard angry shouting and familiar orders. She opened her eyes to see Finn winking at her, and an army of mutant crabs and goblins preparing to attack her from below.
"I've got to go help Natalie. Good luck."
just like that Finn was gone. The cow-sized crabs lifted their pincers and shot concentrated water bullets at her.
'If the capital learns I have returned, my plans will be thwarted again. This incident must not be blown out of proportion.'
Caroline dodged swiftly while thinking of a plan when she heard: "Kill her!"
Someone shouted from the back of the army. It was an echidna with a long, blue, snake-like tail, deep wrinkles on his forehead and a neatly trimmed beard. "The rebel princess has allied herself with the fox-kin and the demons. Do not let her escape!"
Caroline froze and her mouth fell agape. Water bullets struck her body, but she ignored them and said "No, this is a mistake."
At lightning speed she flew to the back of the army, landed near the echidna and explained: "Good Sir. I am not associated with those foreigners."
"Lies!" The echidna tried to pierce her with his trident, but it got stuck inside a black crystal she had summoned.
"I was just looking for supplies. I'm not returning to the kingdom, and I'm surely not harboring enemies."
"Goblins, attack!"
Her pleas fell on deaf ears.
