Chapter 8

Vanz was on his way to school. On the back of his head, he was in control of Android 92 and Android 63. He sent his spiritual awareness to them and spread it, until it covered the whole orphanage. Therefore, even though he was away, he could still observe everything that was transpiring inside, even if his androids were outside. 

When he used the Soul Puppet Formation on the four androids, a spiritual connection was at the same time established. Through this, he could use the puppets like his own body. However, even if the four androids were damaged, he wouldn't feel pain or anything.

In addition, his spiritual awareness expanded into 3,100 meters, due to his recent break through to 4th Stage of Qi Gathering Realm and also because of the emergence of fourth pure qi spring. 

Meanwhile, inside the orphanage, Sera busied herself in her office dealing with the paperworks. At the same time, Vienna was having a conversation with five people that Vanz saw before he left. They were Grille, Bones and Ouria, while the other two was people he didn't know, but he swept them with his spiritual awareness and found out that they were part of the police department of Vinyan City. As for their purpose, he wasn't aware of it. 

"The orphanage has three buildings; the Office Building, the Apartment Building and the Mess Hall where we all eat. Of course, you'll sleep here at the Apartment's building and here is your room." Vienna stated and stopped in front of a door. 

She opened the door and cast a glance at them. "Okay, lets enter." Vienna said to them and entered the room. 

The room hadn't had much furnitures; there were two beds, shelves attached on two opposite walls and cabinets for storing their clothes. 

"This will be the room of this two people, Richie and..." 

"Henry, Ma'am." answered the man beside Richie. 

"Oh sorry, I forgot your name for a second there. Well anyway, this will be your room. We've already clean it, so you can settle your things immediately." Vienna faced the other three and spoke. "Let's temporarily leave Richie and Henry on their own, while you will follow me to your assigned room."

"And after settling your things, proceed to the office building." Vienna said to Richie and Henry, while the two nodded. 

Vienna leave the room with the other three, while Richie and Henry place their bags on their beds. 

The two looked at each other. Henry pulled the table from the corner before him and put an envelope on top. Richie used his phone and made a call. 

"Hello, Boss. We're in the orphanage now. What's your next order?" Richie said. 

Vanz that was listening in class focused his attention out of the class to the conversation of Richie and the mysterious man in the phone. 

"Very good. Now, look for the files of children there. Investigate about a baby that had been abandoned there six years ago. All the other infos about the kid are in the envelope I gave to Henry. If there is a kid that resembles that infos, kidnap him and take him to the warehouse at Salphino Port. Understood?"  the man in the phone instructed. 

"Yes, Boss. We won't fail you." Richie answered. 

"Good. Don't worry. Your service won't be in vain. The reward is greater this time, but remember --don't let others know about this. If any people at that orphanage knows --you know what you must do...." 

"...Yes, Boss. Understood." Richie said. Even though he was talking to the man on the phone, he could still feel the coldness of his voice. 

Richie dropped his phone on the bed as he breathed deeply. 

"Richie, are you okay? What the boss said?" Henry asked. 

"The Boss said we shouldn't let other people know about this. Even the people whom worked for him. Open that envelope so we can know the information about the kid. If one of the kids in this place match what is inside the envelope, we must take him to the Salphino Port, as soon as possible." Richie said.

"Then, let's start planning already." Henry said, while Richie nodded. 

Vanz withdrew his spiritual awareness as he had heard enough. Now he knew that someone was searching for him. From what he heard, the man on the phone instructed them to silence anyone whom had known of their investigation. With this, Vanz concluded that they were the enemies of his biological parents. 

He left the classroom and proceed to the cafeteria to buy some food. Since they were still planning, Vanz wasn't worried that something bad would happen immediately and focused on his own plans on collecting the ingredients for concoction of Fortune Star Pill. 

Furthermore, Android 92 and Android 63 were there to make everything safe while he was away. Dealing on normal people like Richie and Henry, the two androids were already enough. 

Currently, he already knew where he could found the White Crying Root or the Onion in this world. And from the research that he conducted, the Bloody Thorny Fruit and Emerald Star Fruit which were called Rambutan and Carambola, by which could be bought at Vinyan City Shopping Mall near his school. 

As for the Four Clove Plant which was called Four-Leaf Clover. It could be bought at the Azul Mountain Summit Souvenir Shop which was very far from Vinyan City, located at the neighboring City of Cizsor.

Apart from this problem, an Alchemy Cauldron was also his problem. He didn't know where he could found an Alchemy Cauldron that suited to concoct the Fortune Star Pill. 

He thought about refining a cauldron on his own, but he didn't had any Essence Flame. An additional problem for him to solve. 

An Essence Flame was a flame that could be used in alchemy and refining a magical artifacts and weapons. It couldn't be found anywhere else and only appeared at places with bountiful Fire element Pure qi. Places with high temperature or burning in fire were more likely didn't had any essence flame. 

He was very occupied, thinking how he could solve the puzzles and he didn't notice where he was going as he accidentally bumped to someone. 

*Thud!*

Vanz didn't budged even an inch while the kid he bumped into fell on her back. He offered his hand to help her, but the young girl slapped his hand away as she stood on her own. 

"I don't need your help, low life!" she said, glared at Vanz and pointed her finger at him. "This is your fault! I'll tell my father to punish you!" 

Then, a man in suit came. "What happened, young lady Aroma?" the man asked and saw Vanz standing before him. 

"I'm very sorry for what happened. I'm not looking at where I am going. I really sorry..." Vanz said with all sincerity. 

"Oh no, it's alright. Umm, ahh you can  go now." the man said, but the young girl Aroma opposed him. 

"What?!" she bellowed. The man was near and covered his ears with his hands. "After what he did to me you will only let him be? I'll tell this to my father!" she added. 

"Young lady Aroma, I.... " 

While the two were busy talking to each other, Vanz slipped away and headed to the cafeteria. He bought three egg and cheese sandwich with mayonnaise, paired with one small bottle of mineral water and left the cafeteria, going back to his room where he would eat his food. 

The classroom was still empty, he thought. 

But then, he sensed another person on the back. He was the kid that the androids were bullying before, silently eating his own food, a lunchbox. 

Vanz looked at him and probed him with his spiritual awareness. He was shocked at what he saw inside his body. He didn't know how it escaped his spiritual awareness before, but that wasn't important.

What important was what he found in the boy. The boy possessed a rare body constitution called, Mind Paragon Blessing and it was already at perfect stage. 

A body that only appeared on people that couldn't cultivate. It was a body suitable on cultivating Mental Qi. Mental Qi was inferior to Spiritual Qi, but it had its own uniqueness. 

It was easy to cultivate, than Spiritual Qi and there was no bottleneck in cultivating it. However, the people that possessed a body like this were stubborn and willful. It was also dangerous. If the person that possessed a Mind Paragon Blessing couldn't control his emotions, he would explode from the inside and killed himself. 

Unfortunately for the boy, he would explode at any moment. He only need a one last stimulation and boom....

Vanz was alarmed when he noticed it. His body wouldn't be able to withstand the explosion if it happened. Thus, he immediately thought of a way to release the Mental Qi that accumulated inside the boy before the worst thing happened. 

He finished two sandwiches and approached the boy. The boy looked at Vanz then, on the sandwich on his hand. 

"Here, let's share..." Vanz said, didn't know what to say...

"Sure! Here, take some of the meatballs. This meatballs are cooked by my sister and its delicious! You must try one!" the boy said without a hint of insincerity. 

Vanz smiled awkwardly and sat next to the boy. "O-Oh! Then, give me some! Here try this sandwich, its delicious too! It was made by my, umm mother! That's right, it's made by my mother." 

"This looks like the sandwich that could be bought at the cafeteria..." the boy said and Vanz smile stiffened. 

"W-Well, they really looks similar, but they are different. Because this one is made by my mother." Vanz said. 

"Is that so? Then, I'll eat it!" the boy said and Vanz heaved in relief. 

"Hehe, anyway. What's your name?" Vanz asked. 

"I'm Cendrik Morrigan. You?" 

"I'm Vanz, just Vanz." 

"You don't have a surname? You know, like Springellton, Edison or anything much cooler, like Hellscream or Hoenhein..." 

"No, I don't have because I'm an orphan." 

"Ohh... I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked." 

"No, no, no. It's okay.... I-"

*Ring! Ring!* 

The bell rang, indicating that recess time was over. One by one, some of their classmates were appearing. 

"I'll return to my seat now." Vanz said. 

"Okay, let's share food again tomorrow!" Cendrik suggested. 

"Sure!" Vanz answered and sat on his seat. Then, all became quiet when Mrs.Villiania arrived and the class was immediately started.

While listening to the class, Vanz was already forming a plan in his mind on how he could extract the Mental Qi out of Cendrik's body wouldn't harming him. At first, he planned to teach him how to cultivate Mental Qi, but he was unable to cultivate Mental Qi, because of his destroyed Mind Palace and there were no other ways to restore it. 

Thinking about this, he couldn't help but pitied Cendrik. He acquired a precious gift, but he was unable to use it. He was even aware of it. 

This is a problem... Apart from that method, there were no other ways. He is a walking time bomb and would detonate at any moment. This needs an immediate solution... Vanz thought 

Vanz thought of extracting the Mental Qi out of Cendrik's body on his own. This was the method he could only thought of. However, even this method was accompanied by disaster. 

Using the Covetous Devil Grand Magic Technique, he would be able to steal the Mental Qi which was in Cendrik's body without harming him. The only problem was the difficulty he would face  from controlling it. 

A demonic hand of embodiment of envy would be summoned to steal the mental qi, but it might also steal another thing in the process. The demonic hand would only steal the most precious thing that the individual possessed. It could be an object or the individual's soul. 

Vanz put the idea at the back of his head and thought of another way. But no matter what he think, all that he could thought, which was the best method was through the use of Covetous Devil Grand Magic Technique. 

If he used this method, the success rate of the operation depend all in Cendrik's luck.
