Chapter 7
The class hours had long since ended and there weren't many students still left in the school grounds at the present, mostly students which were tasked to clean their classrooms and those whom had club activities.
Vanz had a smile that couldn't be erased on his face as he tread his way towards his classroom to take his bag and head back on the orphanage.
When he arrived at the classroom, there were no one inside and his bag was the only thing inside, placed on top of his desk, apart from the things that was initially there at the beginning.
After taking his bag, he left the room and unexpectedly bumped on Mrs.Villiania. His happy smile became a nervous smile when he saw how angry she looked.
"Come with me." Mrs.Villiania simply said. She turned around and walked. Vanz only sighed and followed suit.
At the faculty they were the only people inside and the other teachers had already left since.
"Why did you skip class?" Mrs.Villiania began, but Vanz didn't answered and remained silent while looking down on the floor.
"Don't you know that it's not a good example to your classmates?" she added.
"I'll call your guardian." she said and Vanz immediately looked at her.
"Now that I got your attention. Answer my first question." she said. She thought Vanz was going to answer, but he only looked down again.
She sighed after seeing it. "Okay, I won't call your guardian. I will let this slide as well. But, if you repeat this again, I won't talk to you and call straight to your guardian. Do you understand?"
"Yes, I won't skip class again." Vanz answered meekly.
"Good. Now come, I'll escort you home." Mrs.Villiania said and drove Vanz back to the orphanage.
In the car, Vanz was seating on the front seat next to Mrs.Villiania. After they passed by the second bus terminal, Mrs.Villiania glanced at Vanz and spoke. "Vanz, do you mind if I fetch my daughter before sending you home or I'll send you home first? My daughter's school isn't far from the orphanage anyway."
"Of course not, Mrs.Villiania. I am fine either way." Vanz said politely.
"Okay, then. Let's fetch my daughter first." she said and accelerated the car.
Mrs.Villiania drove towards the orphanage, but didn't stopped and passed by as they headed towards the school several kilometers away from the orphanage. The school name was Allhermien Academy, a private elementary school.
A little girl was waiting at the waiting shed inside the school. When she saw her mother's car from afar, she came out and waited for it to park before her.
Mrs.Villiania came out, helped her daughter with her bag and sat on the driverseat and drove back to the direction of the orphanage.
"Who's this kid, Mom?" the little girl inquired.
"Oh he's one of my students. His name's Vanz. He lives at the Chapter Children Orphanage. He fell asleep on our way to fetch you." Mrs.Villiania said. She looked at her daughter through the mirror and continued. "Anyway, we'll send him home first."
"Okay,~" the little girl said as she played with her dolls on the back seat.
Sera was waiting at the gate, when a car stopped in front of her. Her worries were relieved when she saw Mrs.Villiania came out of the car with Vanz asleep on her car.
"Sera, it's been a long time. I'm here to send one of your sheep." Mrs.Villiania said as she carried Vanz and gave him to Sera.
"Thanks, Devi. I worried for nothing. Why don't you come inside first and have dinner with us?" Sera said back.
"Oh that's good, but I thank you for the offer. My husband is waiting at home. Maybe next time?" Mrs. Mrs.Villiania replied as she get in the car.
"Okay, thanks again. Drive safe." Sera said and watched as the car drove away.
Sighing to herself, she carried Vanz towards his room and laid him on his bed and let him have a goodnight sleep.
Actually, the night still wasn't late, but Vanz used up most of his pure qi in laying formations on the androids. Thus, exhaustion visited him. And on his way at home, they encountered a heavy traffic which took almost two hours for them to passed through.
If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
While Vanz was sleeping peacefully, Commander Morrigan was burning in anger because he found out what happened to the group that he sent to retrieve the androids.
But what angered him the most was the report that his agents weren't just beaten badly, they even failed to protect the androids from being taken away.
"Commander, Sir! We've searched the whole forest, but we didn't found the four androids. They were likely had been taken away. And if you heard the group alpha statement, you might not believe what they said." the man beside Commander Morrigan said.
"Just tell me what the fuck happened!" Commander Morrigan roared, which made the man paled.
"Y-Yes, Sir! The agents said they saw no one at the site. And the one that beaten them were the four androids.... It was as though they became capable of thinking independently. Agent Colin and Agent Bellec had exchanged blows with them and they were overpowered by their teamwork. They moved in a very collaborated way. Also, their important equipments, as well as other important things were stolen. The only one left to them was Agent Adders engagement ring.... No traces left of the culprits...." the man looked at the commander and spoke before slipping away. "That's all the reports, Commander."
"Haha-Ha-Ha! Wahahaha!" Commander Morrigan laughed thundered throughout the room, but his face wasn't smiling, instead filled with rage. "I'll make sure, who ever he is. I will find him and grind him to dust with my own bare hands!"
"Lieutenant!" Commander Morrigan shouted and the silently walking away Lieutenant stopped and replied.
"Yes, Commander, Sir!"
"Alert our agents at Vinyan City. They are to report everything they find suspicious! Also tell to the group alpha that they have many years to enjoy themselves!" Commander Morrigan roared.
"Immediately, Sir!" the lieutenant replied and immediately left.
"I will find you, whoever you are and I will kill you!" Commander Morrigan swore.
On the next morning, Vanz woke up in his room, baffled on how he ended up in his room. He didn't expect that he only had capacity for writing four formation at his present cultivation, but he knew it wasn't the cause of his exhaustion. It was his body being still at growth phase
Sitting crossed-legged on top of his bed, his spiritual awareness entered his Pure Qi Space as he saw that three of his Pure Qi Springs were empty.
At this moment, the tornado of pure qi was ready to excavate a new pure qi spring. His body shook when the tornado make contact to the ground. It slowly drilled down until it reached the depth of 7ft before dispersing. Pure qi shot out of the newly excavated pure qi spring like a geyser and filled it to the brim as it overflowed.
Vanz guide the overflowing pure qi to the other pure qi springs creating a small stream towards the other pure qi springs. He stabilized his cultivation base that had skyrocketed the moment the fourth pure qi spring was formed.
As his eyes opened, a bright glint escaped as his aura exploded. The window opened and all movable objects around him was blown away, scattered them in disarray. He breathed deeply and stood, feeling the increase in his physical prowess.
A smile crept in his face that was immediately erased when he heard Vienna's voice behind the door.
"Vanz! What's that noise?! Let me in!"
"Ahh that was nothing! I only fell from my bed! It's nothing. I'm fine." Vanz shouted.
"I said, open the door!" Vienna insisted.
"Okay, wait!"
After tidying up his room that was taken care of in five seconds, Vanz unlocked the door and return to his bed, while Vienna entered with a frown.
"What-"
Vienna looked around and saw nothing amiss as she hadn't continue to say what was in her mind. Since nothing bad happened, Vienna just shrugged it and thought the explosion like sound she heard was just in her mind.
"Okay... I heard... Forget it." she looked at Vanz and spoke. "Vanz, come on down and have a breakfast. You'll be late for school." then, Vienna left after she said it.
Vanz sighed when Vienna was finally gone. "That was close. I need to isolate myself from now on when I'm about to excavate a new pure qi spring..."
Vanz sat in meditative position as his spiritual awareness entered gold plates and examined the four androids. He looked at the gold plates and saw that each one of them was engraved with not similar two digit numbers.
He knew that they were not serial numbers as the gold plates were too small and the numbers were only two digits. Thus, it was used for different purpose, but he had no idea what it could be.
He decided to not think about it for the time being and focused his attention to the puppets. Vanz decided to call them according to the numbers that was engraved on the gold plates.
All the androids had a small and frail looking body. It was to hoodwink people as underneath their skin were metallic platings that was able to withstand huge amount of penetrating force.
The android with green hair was Android 63, the one with blue hair was Android 92, while Android 54 and Android 21 both had black hair. Their height was similar to each other at 1.2 meters, much higher than Vanz, but it wouldn't be long before he surpassed them as the androids couldn't grow.
The right foot of Android 54 was damaged, but it was slowly recovering. Bent toes were returning to its original state before being damaged, as well as the dislocated foot. Vanz couldn't help but sucked a cold breath when he saw it.
This was the reason why the Soul Puppet Formation was the best way of creating a puppet. The name 'Soul' wasn't an exaggeration. It was truly similar to an Immortal. Whose body could heal on its own. No matter how damaged the puppet was, even if the body was grounded to dust, it could still recover, but only at a slow pace, even so it was truly heaven-defying.
In his previous life, the Soul Puppet Formation was owned by a Sect. Not just a simple Sect. Because they owned 72 Planar Worlds only on their own. The Incessant Devil Sect, known for their powerful and undying cultivators; the Legion of Undying Generals.
However, the undying cultivators weren't actually cultivators. They were not even alive! Because they were just puppets!
Unfortunately, the greed of people in his previous world was more abundant than an ocean filled with endless creatures and could even put the desert's greed for water into shame.
Many Sects formed a temporary truce for a temporary alliance and attacked the Incessant Devil Sect just to obtain the secret it had.
All of the Cultivators in his previous world thought it was a Dao Method of the patriarch of Incessant Devil Sect and all the disciples and elders of the sect worshipped it, but they were wrong!
In fact, it was only a simple formation formula! A heaven-defying formation!
Vanz was only at the Foundation Establishment Realm at that time. He participated to the raid as well, he killed millions of disciples and elders while practicing his techniques on them.
At the end of his road, he didn't found anything only a worn out scroll where the Soul Puppet Formation formula was written. Using the formula, an artificial soul would be created. It had an absolute loyalty to the creator and would only care for the creator.
The artificial soul didn't had mind, but only an instinct; to follow and live for the creator.
When the Incessant Devil Sect was completely destroyed, no Dao Method was found. The patriach had destroyed his Immortal Core while protecting the fleeing disciples and elders, hoping for the Sect to return once again in the future, but it wasn't fulfilled because not a single soul was left alive.
The cultivator's view at Formation Masters at that time was also particularly low, thus none paid attention to what Vanz obtained. Vanz was the same. He thought the same as well, and put the scroll in his Inventory Ring and let it rot.
Only after he became a Formation Grand Master he discovered about the greatness of the scroll as he used it on his own benefit. He slayed a Dragon, a Phoenix, a White Tiger and a Tortoise and used them as a puppet, but he only placed them out of his Immortal Mansion as security guards....
Since Vanz was still a kid and killing was prohibited, punishable by the law in all parts of the world where people flourished. He needed the androids to do his dirty works. For this purpose, he would make them more stronger for them to withstand the most advance weapons existing in the world.
Just like his guards in his previous life. But he would start this for another time as he had no free time for it now.
Vanz readied himself before going to school. He washed himself, ate his breakfast with the other children and talked with them like a normal child would do.
When he was about to leave the orphanage, three people came, followed by another two people with guns, although hidden which made people oblivious about it.
Vanz was worried that something might happen when he wasn't present. Thus, he left Android 21 and Android 92 nearby the orphanage. In any case, if something really happened he would immediately know and he could rushed back in full speed or control the two androids he left to save Sera or anyone that was in danger.
