Chapter 4

“Sit down.” A gruff voice resounded through the halls as a man stepped through the doorway, the scent of death following his every movement. He had yet to do anything yet his mere presence forced the students to focus as though their lives depended on it.

Every part of the man’s demeanor screamed danger and ferocity, it was impossible not to be on edge around him. The man was covered in scars with eyes that contained the sharpness of the famed holy blade.

His face was handsome albeit terrifying and his right eye was covered in a black eyepatch while his left was a steel like shade of silver. His blond hair was dirty, almost like it had been covered in so much blood it couldn’t possibly be cleaned.

‘Dimitri Alden, a man called the Spear God.’ Dion noted, his azure eyes trailing over the figure of their teacher. ‘He definitely deserves it.’ He thought to himself. He wasn’t aware of how he earned his title but he understood that he deserved it.

He wasn’t a very explored character no matter how many people tried to date him in the game so Dion knew little about him but there was one thing all players knew. He was an asshole who didn’t care about his students.

“I’m you little shit’s teacher Dimitri Alden. If you call me anything besides teacher I’m punching you through a wall.” He threatened, his eyes showing that he meant every word he said. In the game, if you pissed him off he would do exactly that. It was one of the dumber ways to die.

Dimitri Alden was a man famed for his temper in Azure Lotus. If you said the wrong thing you were dead, if you did the wrong thing you were dead, if you existed wrong you were dead. He was a character that kept the player on their toes at all times.

But at least he had the sense not to actually kill a student. The only reason Dion died each and every time was because Cyrus or any other noble who didn’t like Dion would go out of their way to poison whatever medicine or supplies he was given.

“Introduction over. Now get off your asses and follow me.” Dimitri demanded coldly, walking out of the door he just came from without a single care for if the students actually followed him. He knew that the students would follow him, he was terrifying enough to make sure of it.

Dimitri’s ridiculous introduction made the class pause, their minds struggling to accept the sheer absurdity of the situation. They were all nobles with one exception and that meant that nobody had even had the courage to threaten them so blatantly.

However, there was one exception. Rising to his feet Dion stepped past the other members of the top five without a care in the world, leisurely placing his phone in his pocket as he walked through the door to follow his teacher.

This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.

In his previous life, he was used to dealing with strange people, he could even call it a strength of his, so there was no reason for him to act like a gobsmacked teen like the rest of his class, it wouldn’t be fitting for all that he’s done.

‘They should try working in the fast food industry.’ He thought to himself as he walked through the halls. They would never do it but it would definitely help them learn how to deal with odd people like their teacher.

As far as he was aware, Dimitri Alden was not an evil man. He may have a short fuse and severe violent tendencies but he didn’t seem evil. Of course, he may be a villain in the future for all Dion knew.

However Dion was fairly good at reading people, he felt like he could trust Dimitri Alden. He had his flaws, quite a few of them in fact, but he felt as though he was a fairly transparent individual, something that was fairly obvious from his clear boundary lines.

Eventually, he and the class that had joined him at some point, found themselves in a large training area full of high-end equipment such areas with increased gravity and sensory deprivation among other things

“This is one of the greatest training areas in Lux, you little shits better appreciate it and train as if your life depends on it.” Dimitri said coldly, his steel colored eye instilling fear into the students with weaker wills.

The class Dion was a member of was fairly strong however so there were very few terrified over a certain level. The class was titled class 1-S, a class of the top 20 students of the first year grade. It was given the letter S due to the hope the school had in them.

While other classes such as class 1-C may be nervous to the degree of a few of them making an embarrassing mistake their class would not. However, it was because of this strength that most of them were nobles which made them arrogant rather than cowardly.

“Excuse me, what are we do-” A student hesitantly spoke however he stopped quickly when a warm feeling enveloped his cheek. Raising a palm her gingerly touched his cheek, his mind controlled by shock, before lowering it to see it tainted in a dark crimson.

Behind him the wall had a small crack on its form, the smoldering remnants created by sheer speed left behind. All Dimitri Alden had done was create a small ball of mana yet his control and the density of his mana made it extremely dangerous even to their class.

“Don’t rush me brat.” Dimitri commanded coldly, anger flashing in his silver eyes and a small amount of ice-blue mana coating his skin. His anger was enough that his mana was reacting to his emotions meaning either he was really angry or his mana was naturally more sensitive to his emotions.

Having mana that was naturally sensitive to his emotions was both a blessing and a curse. It made controlling it much more difficult however it also increased its power and potency quite a bit as a result.

When he was angry his mana would become more powerful, when he was sad it would become heavier, and when he was happy it became smoother. It affected how his mana was controlled however once he learned to utilize it correctly it became an invaluable weapon.

“Now, let’s test you. If you’re below my standards, you’re kicked out. I don’t give a shit if you’re all the kids of some rich old fatty.” Dimitri declared seriously, his words enraging the entire population of the class.

It was one thing to insult their strength but it was another to insult their heritage. Nobles cared more about their status and ancestry than their own life at times and he had just insulted that. If they weren’t beyond terrified of getting expelled, an even greater shame, they would have lashed out.

“Looks like you brats are pissy. If you want to prove me wrong then do it. Don’t be a bitch.” Dimitri spoke coldly, cruel amusement in his eyes as determination flared in the eyes of the class.

‘He’s good at riling people up.’ Dion thought to himself absentmindedly. There were many ways to motivate a group, with fear, bribery, and anger being the best of the bunch. But fear was dangerous and bribery was expensive leaving anger as the most common option.

Dimitri Alden was using their own pride to motivate them to work as hard as possible, to prove their teacher wrong using actions rather than words. It was a suitable method for the arrogant nobles that would surely work well.

‘He’s more caring than he lets on.’ Dion observed, a small amused smirk on his face.
