“Yup yup~. Thanks for dealing with it Dimi!” Lucille spoke cheerfully into her phone, her nerves entirely eradicated as time passed and Dion showed no signs of issue nor injury. It also helped that he allowed her to scan him with her mana.
It was generally an action that wasn’t allowed due to the pure danger and risk associated with injecting foreign mana into another person’s body. Even if that specific issue was removed due to her skill it didn’t actually make it any safer.
Somebody at her skill level had the ability to move their mana without even a thought. If she wanted him dead he wouldn’t even have the chance to resist before her mana destroyed his heart and vital organs. It was quite the showing of trust.
“I take it Dimitri Alden will take care of it?” Dion asked calmly from his position at the table, gingerly taking sips of tea as she took care of business. It had taken quite a while but it seems like she was finally done.
He didn’t blame her though, there were many things to prepare. Gideon Moris needed to be captured and examined, his older brother needed to be put under house arrest due to suspicion of his involvement and to ensure he wouldn’t assist Gideon, and getting somebody to calm the people that had almost passed away from her so called teensie weensie tantrum.
“That’s right! He’s a good guy at heart so I’m sure he’ll take care of it extra carefully!” She said confidently, a wide grin on her face that befit her childish nature and stature despite not fitting her age in the slightest.
“Is that so.” Dion spoke disinterestedly while ignoring her abrupt glare, trusting her enough to leave the aftermath in her hands. While he hadn’t known her for very long there were two things he could be certain of.
She would not betray him unless it was something as drastic as Lux against himself and she was a very capable leader. The nobility of the world were extremely greedy people that spared no pity on those lower than themselves.
To create Lux and bring it to the heights of the current day despite them extending their hands in greed was certainly no easy feat. Dion himself had once created and ruled over a fairly large group of people and despite being millions of times easier it was still extraordinarily stressful.
Of course, he wouldn’t underestimate his own efforts by any means but it did not change the fact that she was struggling in ways different from his own. While he struggled to stay afloat she struggled to deal with the money and resources thrust at her in a way that did not lower her own influence.
“Yup! He’s a bit rough around the edges but he’s a real sweetheart.” Lucille said confidently, a proud smile on her face. Despite running a large organization, despite the hundreds of betrays that she would have surely experienced, she could still smile so brightly.
‘How dazzling.’ Dion thought to himself, unashamedly awed at her forward facing attitude. Many would wither while walking her path and yet she thrived. It was nothing if not impressive even if many couldn’t understand what she experienced let alone how she felt.

“Aww~. Are you finally captivated by my beauty~?” Lucille teased him, striking a few simple poses for the laughs. She was a beautiful girl no doubt but her lack of maturity made it difficult to imagine her as anything more than a kind childhood friend in Dion’s mind.
”I wouldn’t go as far as to say I was captivated.” Dion retorted calmly, a serene look on his face and amusement in his eyes as he continued sipping away at the poisoned tea. It was an idea he only decided to act upon now that Lucille was in the room.
Light mana almost always had the attribute of detoxification as a by product of it being the purest element. It was the reason that Thenism was almost entirely based on the light element and why it was held in such high regard.
For that reason, Dion could freely drink the poisoned and dreadfully disgusting tea to his heart's content. It was far from pleasant feeling his body fail him for a few moments at a time but he wished to enhance his poison resistance while he had the chance.
He was in no particular rush at the moment but with the future rapidly altering from the path the game followed he wasn’t sure when he would be poisoned next. He had survived without issue this time but there was no guarantee that the same could be said for the next time.
Of course with Lucille aware of how little the board of directors and staff cared that he was under her protection things will begin changing quickly though that chaos will bring in its own share of issues.
With a mass firing of staff, there will be an inevitable lack of teachers and staff to deal with the large number of students present at the school. No matter how much Lucille plans for it and prepares in advance there will be a period of chaos in Lux.
Inevitably, the nobles will see this as a dangerous situation and pull back their unsuccessful investments. To some, it will endanger their children’s future and to many the mass firing of nobles will anger the rest into pulling their donations back as a threat.
To that end, as the root cause of the chaos, it was his duty to at least alleviate the issue as much as possible. He didn’t have much ability to assist when it came to the teaching staff but he could surely make up for the nobility’s shrinking donations.
“Lucille, can I take a day off tomorrow?” Dion requested seriously, his body language calm and casual yet his tone betrayed him. It was very important that he took tomorrow off, it was the reason he had even followed Gideon.
With the knowledge of how dangerous it would be he hadn’t followed Gideon just to remove a future threat. No, he planned to use it to take tomorrow off from the very beginning. If that didn’t work, he had a few other things he could possibly use to receive the day off.
‘If it comes to it… I can tell her about my origins.’ Dion thought to himself, his eyes closed. He trusted Lucille to be accepting of it and he even had the necessary excuse, the issue was that leaving Lux had never been accomplished in the game.
Many things happened off the campus over the thirty seven days the game took place over and yet the players could involve themselves in none of them and it wasn’t from a lack of trying. Hours upon hours had been invested into escaping the campus and none had succeeded.
If she denied everything he had prepared for a reason he wasn’t yet aware of then he would have nothing to do besides tell the truth of his origins. Not his origins as Dion Aster but as Hugo Farzan.
It was far from ideal but it was integral that he arrive at that location before any other. If he were to arrive there late everything would be for naut and he and the entirety of Lux would be put on the back foot when it came to actions against the nobility.
“That’s it? With what happened today I could get you the entire first week off y’know?” Lucille spoke, genuine surprise in her voice. His tone was so serious, more than usual even, and yet that was all he asked for?
“Specifically, I want to leave Lux for the entirety of the day.” Dion explained further without pause. In the game, many players attempted every possible way to escape Lux whether it be asking for permission or even escaping at night without a single result.
“Yeah, that’s all right. We’d have to keep it off record since students aren’t allowed to leave but I can get you off the island easily enough. You’ll have to go under a disguise though since you stand out quite a bit.” Lucille explained casually, almost as though it wasn’t worth worrying about from the very beginning.
“Huh?” Dion let out incredulously.
