{On the first day of Azure Lotus, there are six events that happen. First, the main character, Dion Aster, is introduced to each of the students who scored in the top 5 on the entrance exam besides himself.}
It was an excerpt from the fandom that Dion couldn’t help but recall upon seeing the four people standing in front of his desk. Each of them were people that dictated the future of the game depending on who you spoke to here and now.
The 2nd ranked student was Afina Astros, the heir to the Astros Duchy. She was a woman infamous for her strength and mercenary like attitude. Like most members of the Astros Duchy, she had mid length dark blue hair and eyes of the same color.
Unlike most nobles, however, she wore fairly revealing clothing that many wouldn’t even consider wearing. Her shirt hugged her figure tightly and revealed not only her midriff but also the top portion of her breasts. Besides that, her pants were tight albeit tame in comparison.
The 3rd ranked student was Cyrus Solaris, the man most known for being the son of the current Saint. Befitting his status, he was an arrogant man that hid under the mask of a kind and polite gentleman.
He had blond hair that shone like gold and a handsome face that caused most people to miss the sadistic look in his sky blue eyes present at all times. Unlike Afina he wore a standard nobles ‘uniform’ consisting of an extremely expensive white and gold formal outfit.
The 4th ranked student was Luna Nox, the second daughter of the Nox duchy and somebody famed as the Black Dawn, a name given to her due to her status as Cyrus’ betrothed. She was a fairly emotionless and disturbing person that few understood let alone got along with.
She was a short woman with bright crimson eyes that seemed to glow and long black hair that almost seemed to be grey in places. She wore a thin black shirt that covered the entirety of her torso, a long black skirt that went past her knees, and a crimson gem hung around her neck.
In the game, many people were attracted to her apparent instability and vampire esque appearance. She was actually quite the popular character despite being the future wife of one of the most hated ones.
The 5th ranked student was Rudra Remus, an infamous womanizer and the next head of the Remus duchy though that claim was widely doubted due to his father’s apparent disregard for his existence.
He was a tall man standing at 5’10 with long light blue hair that reached past his waist despite the tall ponytail he put it in. His eyes were a similar shade of blue to his hair and almost seemed to have lightning dancing between them, a result of his overwhelming lightning affinity that earned him the title of the Thunder Prince.

He wore a dark blue shirt that purposefully hugged his muscles tightly and short shorts of the same color. Over this, he wore a light blue robe accentuated by dark blue lining tied at the waist with a dark blue sash.
All four of them were characters integral to the story and could dictate his life or death if he was not careful. Cryus especially wanted him dead and as a result, Luna would be his enemy as well due to her obsessive need to receive his love. However, despite the danger, there was only one thing going through Dion’s mind.
‘This school really has no uniform regulations.’ Dion thought to himself, his eyes trailing over the many uniforms in the room. It was one thing when the world was only a game to him but when it became reality it was definitely eye catching.
“Are you not going to say anything?” Cyrus spoke up after the silence continued on for a while longer than he’d like. Despite his polite tone and smile his eyes were filled with dissatisfaction and disgust upon looking at Dion.
“No.” Dion replied calmly, his azure eyes full of boredom as he looked at the four in front of him. He had nothing against them really, minus Cyrus that is, but he didn’t feel like talking to them currently.
Afina wanted to meet him face to face, Cyrus wanted him dead, Luna wanted him dead because Cyrus did, and Rudra just wanted to pass the time. None of them were important to him in the slightest, it was a complete waste of his time that he wanted to waste on his own terms.
“Is that so?” Cyrus spoke politely, his tone strained slightly as the dissatisfaction in his eyes was replaced by anger. Never before had a commoner talked to him like this and he was beyond enraged.
“Yes, so please leave.” Dion said uncaringly, pulling the phone Lucille had most likely bought him out of his pocket. He was lucky the previous Dion hadn’t set it up or else he’d have to find a way to reset it or find out what he set as the password.
“You’re interesting. Want me to sponsor you?” Rudra offered, an amused grin on his face. He was well known for sponsoring those that interested him even if most of the time it only lost the Remus duchy money. Luckily, they had plenty to spare.
“If you want to be bled dry.” Dion replied calmly to the proposition. While the support of the Remus household would be nice, he already had the support of the Hero of Light so he had little to worry about both politically and monetarily.
“Haha, that wouldn’t be too bad.” Rudra said with an amused chuckle. Perhaps he didn’t believe Dion’s words or perhaps he simply didn’t care for his family’s wealth but it was clear he wasn’t retracting his offer.
“Do you want to train together?” Afina offered seriously, her blue eyes focused on the skin that was revealed by his loose clothing. While there wasn’t much muscle to be seen around his shoulders and the small portion of his chest revealed it still existed. Or it could be his status as the first ranked student that prompted the offer.
“If we have the time.” He replied noncommittally, his eyes still focused on his phone. From the corner of his eyes, he could see Afina nod her head in acceptance, apparently undisturbed by his lack of care for her offer.
“Don’t ignore Lord Cyrus.” Luna demanded, her hand imprinted onto the desk that had crumpled slightly under her power. The desk was made of expensive materials that were naturally strong and had been enhanced by mana over the course of a few decades and yet it was still destroyed easily.
“I’m not ignoring him.” Dion refuted simply, briefly looking up from his phone to look at her. In her eyes was the expectation to be praised for doing a good job, however… “I’m ignoring everyone.” Dion continued, his words crushing her hope.
Her eyes seemed to darken and fill with madness as she looked at him, anger swirling in her crimson eyes as she raised her hand. Logically, Cyrus should stop her from attacking a classmate however he didn’t care for her and instead was glad she was doing it as it would give him a chance to analyze the first ranked student.
However before her hand could fall the door was slammed open, the loud noise resounding throughout the classroom. From the door the scent of death entered the room, assaulting the student's senses.
Something dangerous had arrived.
