The nurse looked a little stunned, “uh, sorry” Redo tried to say,
“No, no it's understandable, hearing me blab must be an awful lot” she laughed nervously. The nurse and Redo remained quiet for the rest of the check up, the nurse leaving 10 minutes later. Redo decides to use that time to sleep, lying down. He had never stood up for himself before, he felt as if he would just have a worse time, he was a little confused about his reaction but put it down to being tired and tries to sleep. Redo is suddenly awoken to somebody standing in the corner of the room. Davon was looking down on him, watching. Redo didn’t know what he wanted but the darkness hadn't faded in him. Davon spoke up first “Listen, I know we’ve never met before but I know you’re a 0-type, and that’s unlucky but you somehow seem familiar…”, Redo felt that too, but couldn’t grasp the connection
“ok so why help me...If I’m an 0-type I have no value to your world, what do want.. an Ego boost?” Redo snapped colder than he intended, he didn’t want to start a fight with a 50+ P-type. Instead Davon laughed a little bit,
“you 0-types must think the worst of us! We aren’t all like I-types, it must be fate that we met you know, count yourself lucky that someone as strong as me lended you a helping hand!"
Redo looked at him dumbfounded by Davon’s sheer pride in himself. "I can show you a bit of my perspective..whaddya say?” Davon asks hand out. Redo looked at him for a second, not really understanding the request. He was raised as the outlier; he hadn’t felt someone having actual interest in him since meeting Amy. “I don’t think you want the Triple-0 freak by your side man…” Redo started “Nonsense!” Davon interjected, walking right up to Redo “your numbers clearly just indicate your destiny...which of course is to be protected by me! As all weaklings do.” Redo felt a sense of deja vu accompanied by regret,
“well I appreciate your lack of incentive to beat the shit out of me, but I'll be fine on my own.” Redo says whilst getting out of the bed, “Nurse! I'm good to go"
“I'll walk you to class” Davon declares
“you really don’t have to…” Redo tried to add, but Davon had no intention of listening “having the highest P-type as a protector doesn't really sound too bad, not sure how Amy would react, she already protects me.” he thinks as they walk to Redos next class. Entering people snicker after the events of P.E, Redo knew it had something to do with his reaction this morning. Davon steps forward and bellows whilst the teacher is talking “If anyone touches the cripple, I will personally put you in a position RIGHT along with him!”, wow… Redo thought to himself I hate him... however he did still appreciate the gesture. The teacher essentially kicked Davon out but whilst leaving Davon gave Redo a thumbs up and mouthed “cya later” Redo had no idea how to react. Wonder where Amy went Redo hadn’t seen her since they went to seperate classes first period.
After separating with Redo at the start of the day she was called in by the philosophy teacher and Amy was getting an ear full, “What do you mean, you can’t Keep it up” Mrs Truder barked, Amy yells in retaliation "I can’t pretend any longer, you know what he’s capable of he will figure it out eventually, and it will BREAK him! Do you want a repeat from the middle school facility?" The room fell silent Amy reflected back to that day, she was hanging out with Redo but something was different, Redo keeped going on about mind manipulation, and containment of the powers, she couldn’t comprehend anything she was being told..she wished she could've stopped him. "So what are you going to do Amy?" Truder asks accusingly.
"Show me she's OK." Amy demanded, Mrs Trunder walks over to use the projector in the classroom and shows what seems to be security camera footage of a girl Amy knew hospitalized and burnt badly. Amy gasped, walking up to the image and touching where the girl's face would be. "Fine, I'll do it." She says "But just know that you at headquarters mustn't underestimate Redo, he's figured it out once and he'll do it again...He's not like your other lab rats." Truder doesn't respond for a minute before turning off the footage to Amy's dismay, walking up to her, looking down on her. "Just because we can't keep your memories faded because of what Redo did, doesn't mean we have other ways to keep you quiet." Mrs Truder warns her. Amy grits her teeth and grabs her bag, "Do a better job" Truder continues whilst Amy begins to leave, "you are his girlfriend”, Amy winced leaving the room. She had been interrogated ever since the previous day, Amy knew the people above Mrs Truder were not happy how close Redo was to a repeat of their middle school facility, it was cruel to Amy, she couldn't stand it. However she couldn't keep dropping hints, they were catching on to her.
Amy started to look for Redo, but apparently there was an incident in his first period "probably got beaten up again" Amy assumes knowing that the P.E teacher wouldn't prevent a p-type like Davon from flexing his power using Redo as a target, it frustrated her alot how the school treated 0-types, they were taught day in and day out to obsess over their power, the school did nothing to prevent these "showing of powers". Poor excuses to justify beat downs, she thought. Reaching the nurses office she knocks on the door, entering. "Hello is Redo here, I'm his...girlfriend...and wanna see him."
"Oh he just left, his friend Davon took to class, what a lovely boy!" Amy's eyes widened, panicking as she ran out of the office. Did he take Redo somewhere to beat him up? Amy runs to the end of the hallway, seeing Davon’s arm around Redo, her skin lights a blue fire, entering the astral dimension, she runs up behind the two before exiting just behind listening and watching. Is he going to do it in front of the class?!? Peeking around the corner she saw Davon standing in the center of the classroom with a nervous Redo trying to hide behind his hair. What is happening Amy thought before Davon exclaims "If anyone touches the cripple, I will personally put you in a position RIGHT along with him!” Amy paused "what…?" She didn't understand what was happening. "Is this some kind of power establishing move...it kinda sounds like he wants to protect Redo, while also simultaneously insulting him." Everyone stopped snickering in the classroom, shocked as they were also anticipating a beat down. Redo sits down awkwardly. Davon flashes him a smile and a thumbs up, before triumphantly leaving the classroom, he confronts Amy, "Oh I almost didn't see you there! My large body makes it difficult to see much further." Not apologizing "he definitely thinks it's my fault" Amy thought. "Whatever man", Amy started saying "just leave Redo alo-",

"Fear not little girl!" Davon interrupts "I won't let harm come to your brother…", what Amy thought "...our meeting was fate, there's no way something bad could happen to him under my protection!" Amy blinks for a second, before breathing a sigh of relief, patting Davon's shoulder "Thank God you're just crazy" Amy tells him, relieved.
"Listen girl I can tell you I’m perfect sa-",
"Yes, yes I'm perfectly sure you are, get a move on buddy." Amy interrupts Davon, turning Davon around and pushing him forward to start walking. Davon, a little surprised and confused, turns around but the girl is gone, deciding not to make an issue as "I have better time to spend than on the issues of the small." Davon thought to himself.
Humbly walking down the hallway. Amy had entered her astral projection again and was idly watching Redo, "your capable of so much more, than what they want from you" She didn't love Redo, but she still treasured him, she smiled sadly knowing she would have to back to pretending, it made her want to cry, Redo looked towards the doorway directly where Amy was standing, "I wonder if he can see me right now" she wondered. Redo smiled at her, mouthing "are you OK?", "of course he can see me", Amy thought. "Just how strong are you, that they've gone through all this effort to keep you controlled." Amy just smiled at Redo a little more before stepping away. Knowing that it was back to square one.
Redo's class was wrapping up and Redo was trying his best to pay attention for once, but everything the teacher said he had heard before. "The history of the Power types this..The way it works on your body that." Redo thought to himself. They never really learnt maths unless it was in history where they learnt battle tactics. However Redo never really questioned the system, mainly dumbing it down to nonsense about becoming powerful, that Redo assumes doesn't apply to him. "So the P.E field trip with your teacher is taking place with class E tomorrow, you're required to have groups of at least 4, two of which must consist of members from the other class." The teacher addresses the class, Redo was not keen on the idea, he was always shunned into groups with the other 0-types. However they were easier to manage for Redo than the power types. The bell rings and Redo puts his bag on, "Make sure to finish your report on the Hagolda war and how power types affected the outcome of the war!" The teacher adds as everyone leaves the room. Redo was walking out the classroom, when he saw a foot shoot out from the bottom of the door, Redo blinked for a second, Jump Redo thought. Moments from tripping, Redo jumps over the foot. "You must think you're slick huh." A voice came from the side of the door the foot came from. "Quintus" Redo knew that voice anywhere, but something was off he swore he had been in that situation before. Quintus’s eyes glow blue, and Redo's body is forced onto his knees. "People in your position should bow '' Quintus glares, raising his hand and pushing his hand down slowly, Redo forced to bend down further. Quintus laughed, "how unfortunate for you, God put you here for me to feel better, honestly he should feel honored." Quintus thought to himself.
"What other purpose must they serve, besides forms of punching bags". Quintus had thought like this for years. All Redo could remember was the torment Quintus put him through, it was all Redo was thinking. Quintus wasn't wasn't paying attention to Redo.
Pulse.pulse.pulse.pulse...whats..my heart rate.
Redo strained his neck against quintus to read his watch
132...135..138...Those without power don’t get to rise right?
Quintus stops laughing for a moment, an overwhelming presence bearing on him all In one second. He looked down at Redo, "wha-what are you doing?'' he stammered. "Stop talking" Redo stood, the front of his body covered in a thick shadow.
Why should I be his bag...why should I submit to his will...I see no power...I see weakness...and he will know of his weakness as well.
Redo stepped towards Quintus, Quintus stepped back with a terrified expression on his face. "Back off f-f-freak." Quintus stammered. Redos watch was making a high pitched whining noise, the glass top cracking further.
You are the freak, the fraud, the failure. You were gifted such strength, and you abuse it. You will suffer for it.
Redo raises his hand, his figure disfigured by shadow striking out in veins swarmed his body His eyes glowed a deep purple. “What is this?” Quintus cried He's nothing, he was always nothing Quintus thought. Red lightning struck the surrounding area destroying lockers.
Why should I deny this feeling, this urge, this mass ego. Generating my own will. It will be my will.
Quintus turns to run, but is slammed into a kneeling position. “I'm sorry, please, I'm so sorry!” he begged. The walls cracked around them. Quintus closes his eyes in tears, when suddenly the pressure is gone, he opens his eyes, the cracked wall is gone and the area is back to normal, Redo is standing, his hand still outstretched, but Amy is holding it, panic in her eyes. Redo collapses, Amy catching him, and turning around to see Quintus, his uniform torn at the shirt, kneeling in awe trying to understand what just happened. “Come with me Quintus” She demands.
