Rebirth Of The Demon
Chapter Seven [ 7 ]
Naughty Girl
Proofreaded
Due to the stress of living under extreme conditions, Li Feng had subconsciously nurtured certain habits that would be frowned upon by others.
Amongst all, frugality definitely the trait stood out the most. Even though Li Feng thought of himself as a very economical person but it was of the total opposite in the eyes of the third-parties involved.
Miser, greedy and stingy, these were just a few of the name titles that he had been labelled with over the many years and was also the one that stuck the most.
Because of his extreme unwillingness to spend extravagantly over clothing like his peers did, Li Feng only owned a few of the clothing that he had bought. Excluding those, a large portion of his wardrobe contained mostly of gifts that he had gotten.
With his bath towel wrapped around his slender waist, water splattered against the cold hard ground as he made his way across the living room.
Standing before a makeshift wardrobe made entirely out of cardboard boxes, Li Feng kneeled down and scanned the boxes.
Sweeping his gaze along the line of neatly placed boxes, he pulled out a box with his name written in an almost faded marker ink on the front. Lifting the lid, he then grabbed the contents within.
In just a few minutes, Li Feng was already finished dressing up in a casual outfit he thought fitted.
Underneath the light blue denim jacket he donned, was a simple white shirt with black stripes running horizontally as a part of the design.
Wearing loose fitting khaki coloured shorts over his boxer briefs, he strung a belt across and proceeded to finish up with a pair of brown coloured loafers.
Using the bath towel that wrapped around his waists, he wiped his wet and dishevelled hair before rolling it up into a ball. Jumping, he flexed his wrists and threw the towel across the apartment like the basketball players on the television.
Sfx Shoop~
Travelling in a beautiful arc, the towel unexpectedly landed into the wash basket.
As if he was made an important shot that would turn the tables on the imaginary opponents he was up against, Li Feng pumped his fists up in victory and made a pose that he thought looked extremely suave.
Turning his head, Li Feng’s eyes locked onto the mirror placed beside him. Looking ito the mirror, he sifted through the hair with his long fingers, combing it backwards and smiled narcissistically while making several more poses.
“As expected of a model, I look too damn good! Haha!” Li Feng laughed out loud as he smacked his buttocks.
Although Li Feng was posing with a playing mentality, his poses looked pretty legitimate or so to speak because he had indeed worked as model in the past.
It was when he was strolling down the street when a stranger stopped him and handed a name card over, because Li Feng was really in need of money, he immediately agreed without hesitation.
So every now and then, Li Feng would receive a modelling gig and because it pays well, the jobs he had to undertake lessened.
Things led to the other and that was how he had the money to rent this apartment, most of the clothes he owned was sent by the companies that he had modelled for as gifts.
“Meow~” A sweet call rang out, breaking Li Feng from his narcissistic world and his maniacal posing craze.
Turning back towards the direction of where the sound came from, he sees a small white ball of fur.
“Meow~” Sitting on her hind legs, her fluffy tail wagged about as the pair of azure eyes brimmed with excitement and impatience.
Locking eyes with the kitten on the ground, Li Feng instantly understood her thoughts. Like the saying goes, eyes are window to a person’s soul, to know a person’s thoughts, just look at their eyes.
Although he wasn’t sure if that saying applies to animals but, Li Feng could most definitely make out her thoughts just through her mesmerizing eyes.
“Haha! Sorry to keep you waiting my little princess~” Li Feng upon seeing the impatient Yun Xue, picked her up immediately.
Laying on Li Feng’s shoulder, Yun Xue’s small triangular ears that previously tipped down towards her head perked up instantly.
Instead of a kitten, she resembled more like an ornament or accessory because of her small size.
An Hour Later
One step after the other, Li Feng strolled leisurely under the clear blue skies, listening to the wonders of nature as he moved forward.
Closing both eyes, he enjoyed the sensation of the warmth that emitted from the sunlight and also the gentle breeze that caressed his skin. A subtle smile gradually emerged on his expressionless face.
Almost every waking moment of his past life contained bloodshed and chaos, always on a high vigilance, he never even had the time to take a single breath.
Now that he was free from the pressure nor burden that haunted him in the past, every step he took felt much lighter.
Unlike then, the current Li Feng had the opportunity to enjoy the long awaited peace that was made unavailable to him in the past.
Walking silently, he vowed wordlessly to destroy anyone that dares to trespass and ruin this peaceful life of his.
With a single crutch under his underarm, Li Feng swerved his way flexibly through the human crowd, his movements incredibly fluid unlike those of a patient that had gotten into an accident a day prior.
As he paved his way through, Yun Xue who was currently laying stably on his shoulders, shot forth a shimmering radiance from her eyes.
The pair of azure gems that adorned her face contained unrestraint excitement as she snuggled comfortably against Li Feng’s neck.
As the human and kitten pair made their way towards the specified destination, like a light tower in the middle of the ocean, they had unconsciously garnered a significant amount of attention from those around.
Before Li Feng had died, his body had already tempered and accumulated a noble temperament that made him stand out above the rest.
Now that his soul had slipped into another body, everything inherent to him had been carried over with the exception of the corpse itself.
Due to the fact that this new vessel of his was originally attractive, the transplant of his soul only contributed to it as though adding fuel to an already burning building.
Currently, Li Feng’s body acted like a fire, causing countless moths around to jump selflessly into it.
Every slight movement he made through countless years of training, contained an unknown gracefulness to it like a dance.
Not to mention the kitten that hung off his shoulders, both of them would no doubt attract unwanted attention.
Civilians who brushed past the pair inadvertently turned their heads back just to take another look, and amongst the many finger pointing and discussion, some even went to the extent of snapping pictures.
If looks could kill, Li Feng would have died a thousand times if not a few hundred. Feeling the passionate gazes shot towards them, a shiver ran down his spine while Yun Xue stayed oblivious to all of it, clouded by the excitement that blinded her eyes.
Li Feng would gladly show these annoying pests the directions leading straight to hell if it weren’t for the fact that they were in the blatant eyes of the public.
As though coming to a realization, Li Feng’s eyes lit up, slapping his forehead with his free head.
How could I have forgotten the stealth techniques!
Stealth techniques? What are those?
Stealth techniques are prerequisite skills that all soldiers should possess beforehand. Like the name implies, these are a type of skill that allowed you to move around incognito.
To think that a former member belonging to the Special Forces would forget the first skill that they learnt, Li Feng’s lips curled up into a bitter smile and as he silently chided himself.
Looking around, Li Feng changed directions and walked under a shelter out of courtesy for the people who needed to pass through.
Noticing the change in directions, Yun Xue tilted her head in doubt as she shot a curious glance towards her master.
Either intentionally or unintentionally, she stared in silence without uttering a single sound while her eyes contained an unknown emotion within.
Back to the topic, although stealth techniques belonged to the most basic of skills that a solder was required to learn. A basic skill like the stealth technique could easily turn into an extremely deadly skillset if utilized correctly.
Not only for the stealth technique, this theory implies to all techniques, if used correctly, even an object like a pencil or a twig could turn into weapons capable of devastation.
The stealth technique isn’t an act of simply hiding behind an object and praying that no one notices you. One has to incorporate stealth within oneself, blending in with the surroundings and eliminating your very presence.
Being someone adept in the art of stealth, Li Feng was capable of turning himself “ Invisible ” to the preying eyes.
Not that he had a power to render himself invisible, it was simply because no one could perceive him but in the eyes of an expert, there is a chance of him blowing his cover.
One of the things Li Feng had learned over the years was that everyone gives out a certain aura and temperament like a force field that surrounds oneself.
Just like an antenna, we are able to perceive that particular aura that an individual exudes.
Meeting an individual for the very first time, we tend to associate that person with a portion of his aura and temperament, followed by their exterior appearances be it a friend or a foe.
Have you ever felt hatred towards a stranger, or felt goodwill and familiarity towards them?
Have you ever felt pressured by your elders?
Have you ever fallen in love at first sight?
These are just simple examples as to what your aura and temperaments are capable of.
Auras and temperaments vary from person to person, if it matches, you will feel goodwill towards the other party and likewise, if it doesn’t, you’ll feel hostile towards the other party.
A portion of that force field is affected also by Chi within oneself, but never be mistaken that the amount of Chi will determine how one perceives you, it simply serves as a supporting factor.
Other factors may include the way you perceive yourself, the environment you were raised in, and many other more.
For example, a confident person may give out an aura that attracts people, likewise, a person with low self-esteem would give out an aura that rejects people.
Although Chi is just one of the supporting factors, a person skilled in manipulating the Chi within themselves may be able to camouflage and affect the aura and temperament to a certain extent.
Exhaling slowly, Li Feng concentrated and focused on the task at hand. Imagining his body as a container, he slowly retracted everything into himself, sealing it up within.
He tried his best to keep the energies balanced, never retracting too much, never distributing too little, although it sounded complex, Li Feng accomplished it easily, he was a master at the art of stealth after all.
As Li Feng and Yun Xue stood under the shelter, the people who casted their gazes on the pair gradually lessened, but not to the point of ignoring their presences because they still looked pretty eye catching just based on outward appearances.
Although Li Feng managed to converge and minimize the most of his aura, temperament was something that seeped out from the depths of your body and hence, a portion of if still remained.
Just like how you could distinguish a noble within a crowd of commoners even if he was dressed in raggedy clothing, temperament was something that could never be completely masked unless one was an expert, Li Feng isn’t skilled to that state yet so he couldn’t pull it off.
Although the movements of Li Feng looked simple and bleak, it still released such a profound and graceful feeling, so he could only make do with mimicking how normal people walked.
Grabbing the crutch, Li Feng made his way to his destination with Yun Xue riding on his shoulders like a Christmas ornament.
Compared to the rowdy scene from earlier, the pair didn’t garner as much attention from the shoppers which made Li Feng feel slightly as ease.
Xuyan Road
Xuyan Road, located in the Linzhen area of Binhai City, is a bustling shopping district nearest to Li Feng’s residence.
Although it was the time when the sun shone at its brightest, the traffic seemed endless when looked from the entrance of Xuyan Road.
There should be more than a few thousand people if not a few hundred, to be able fill the large and spacious path sandwiched with human sausages.
Li Feng couldn’t help but to feel intimidated by the sheer number of shoppers, gulping down a mouthful of saliva, he placed Yun Xue into his shirt after a moment of contemplation, afraid that he’ll lose sight of her.
Yun Xue’s examined the place with her furry head peering out from the collar of Li Feng’s shirt, her appearance extremely endearing but the Li Feng at the moment was in no mood to appreciate.
Taking in a deep intake of breath, Li Feng forcefully made his way through the crowd on a single crutch, like a fish in water, he drifted through it with ease thanks to the fact of his lowered presence.
As he drifted along with the waves of people, a smile unknowingly formed as he looked left and right like a caveman seeing the modern world for the first time.
Not once had Li Feng ever acted like this during his previous life as a soldier.
As a member of a top secret Special Forces group, Li Feng have experienced many ups and downs in his life.
Lived the most luxurious of mansions, drove the most expensive of vehicles, eaten the rarest of cuisines. He had did many things that was unattainable even for someone who had a high status.
Although Li Feng had experienced what others couldn’t comprehend nor imagine in the past.
He remained tranquil and unmoved throughout, as if he was doing something mundane like wiping his hands.
If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
He knew in his heart that he was just a robot, living solely for the fulfilment of other’s motives, a puppet to be manipulated, a dog for the country.
During those times, he felt like a hollow shell. A puppet clad in human skin, his emotions didn’t fluctuate even slightest, it was all but a waste of effort, meaningless.
But this carefree and laid-back feeling he was experiencing at the moment was something that moved someone like him, perhaps everything after he had been reborn had intrigued him.
It moved his heart strings, his heart rippled with unknown emotions that had never been felt before.
He is now able to enjoy everything he couldn’t in the past, he had friends and even family.
Now that he had a taste of it, Li Feng would never let go ever again. Since god gave him a chance, he had decided to cherish and make the best out of it.
Even to the extent of sacrificing some useless wastes, he would never hesitate.
Time had passed as he recalled the past, unknowingly, he had already reached the destination.
With his feet on the stone pavement, Li Feng stood before the seemingly large store that exuded an antique atmosphere.
His sharp gaze swept across, scanning the surroundings and stopped before a wooden signboard that hung above the entrance.
On the signboard, were powerful words carved into it using an unknown instrument.
Three simple Chinese characters, carved so beautifully and elegant with strokes so fluid you would mistake it for a calligraphy piece written with ink.
Yet within the beautiful stokes, it gave off a fierce momentum befitting that of an ancient beast, intimidating those who treated it lightly.
“Qing Yi Pavilion.” Li Feng muttered out loud, his eyes filled with curiosity and admiration for the person who did this piece of work.
Having only heard of the Qing Yi Pavilion, he had never been here physically but through the rumours of it, Qing Yi Pavilion seemed pretty reputable in the medical world.
Not that he gave a flying fuck about this herbal store, he simply came here to get something that he needs.
At the moment he walked into the store, a strong herbal scent shot towards his direction like a drop kick to the face. Faced with the strong scent, Li Feng inhaled deeply and circulated the familiar herbal scent a few circles around his lungs, then exhaling with an extremely satisfied expression.
Although the scent of herbs may be considered strong and pungent for others, it was of the exact opposite for Li Feng who had several run-ins with it.
Lifting his eyelids, he scanned the entire store as he stood on the wooden flooring. The overall size was pretty big in scale, alongside the left wall, wooden chairs were placed alongside each other in three separate rows all the way to the end.
While on the right, a simple wooden counter stretched all the way to the end as well as the cabinet behind it.
On the large cabinet, were small shelves with names of various herbs written and labelled on the front, totalling up to probably hundreds of them.
From the simple setup devoid of any hint of extravagance, Li Feng could probably make out what kind of person the owner was as decoration was an extension of someone’s personality.
As he walked along the wooden panelled flooring, a series of heavy footsteps along with an loud voice rang out annoyingly from the back
“Hey brat! The shop isn’t open yet! Get out!”
Turning back, Li Feng sees a person flinching before walking up towards him. With a ferocious expression smeared across his ugly smug that seemed to say ‘ I AM HERE TO CAUSE TROUBLE ’.
Li Feng didn’t show any signs of aggression, calmly, he stood in his place carrying a slight smile.
As the person inched closer, Li Feng got a better look at his face. Judging from his voice alone, Li Feng would never have thought his appearance looked worse than he sounded.
A pale and sickly face matched the light green outfit he wore, the pair of twig-like legs formed a stark contrast in comparison with his large and muscly torso.
How does he manage to balance that huge body and head with such small legs... Li Feng thought inwardly, his eyes flashed with curiosity.
Although the current height of Li Feng measure around a hundred and seventy centimetres, this person easily towered over him being two heads taller.
Li Feng doubts that there exists a person who could actually take this guy seriously when he is trying to act all intimidating with his gorilla torso and insect legs.
“Pf..S-sorry Da Ge, I didn’t know that the store was still closed..” Struggling to hold back his laughter, Li Feng managed to squeeze the words out of his mouth.
“Hmph! You think that you can simply wander in and leave as you like?!” The man spoke, his tone changed slightly warmer.
Hou Xing’s eyes immediately lit up when he saw Li Feng wandering around the compounds of the Qing Yi Pavilion. Coincidentally finding a target to vent his anger, he would never let this opportunity slip away.
Waiting in ambush, until Li Feng ventured further in, he then jumped out of his spot and pretended to be angry.
But when he saw Li Feng’s appearance, he was enchanted in that instant, it was as if cupid shot an arrow through his already broken heart.
Sweeping a glance towards Li Feng’s bountiful chest, his saliva drooled onto the ground uncontrollably.
After hearing how Li Feng spoke and acted, Hou Xing was sure that if he played his cards right, the “ Woman ” standing before him would jump into his embrace easily.
Noticing the lustful and unbridled gaze of the dumb oaf before him, Li Feng’s anger started soaring. Both of his eyes cooled down along with his emotions as he stared venomously towards the lustful man.
Before long, his eyes lit up and the corners of his lips curved upwards into a sinister sneer as he started to move.
Hou Xing was stunned by Li Feng’s smile, in his eyes, the sneer looked so angelic and enchanting.
Lifting his hands, Li Feng tugged on the rubber band that held up his long hair while another hand reached down to his back pocket.
Without much effort, his hair fluttered and danced along as they were released.
Using his slender hand, Li Feng swiftly and gracefully pulled the hair towards the back of his ears.
Blinking his mesmerizing eyes, he looked into Hou Xing’s eyes as he licked and bit his lips.
His actions looked so natural that seductive that it started to ignite a fire within the victim.
Even though Li Feng’s acting had no flaws, Hou Xing was in a dazed state to even notice for any flaws. All he had in mind was to topple the beauty over and ravage her.
Stepping forward, Li Feng’s slender and supple hands came into contact with Hou Xing’s chest.
With a voice as soft as silk, Li Feng said slowly, intentionally pursing his cherry lips as he squeezed the words out.
“What – Can – I – Do – To – Earn – Your – Forgiveness – Da – Ge – Ge.” His innocent looking face looked extremely alluring at the moment.
Hou Xing felt as if a cat was scratching lightly against his heart, like a running itch, he couldn’t get the weird sensation out.
Every word acted like a tank of fuel being poured continuously onto his already burning fire.
“H-hehehe… All you have to do is accompany your Gege for one night..” His bad breath brushing against Li Feng’s face, causing him to furrow his brow slightly.
“Accompany you for one n-night? W-what do you mean?” Li Feng’s eyes turned watery as he rubbed the hems of his shirt coyly.
“Hahaha! I just want to show you a few games that I normally play, it’s no big deal~” Hou Xing stuck his chests out and patted it, his eyes narrowed into slits as he reached out to touch Li Feng with his salty pig paws[ 1 ].
Noticing the incoming filthy hands, Li Feng suppressed his murderous intent as he narrowed his eyes.
Stepping to the side, he easily dodged the filth that repeatedly reached out for him effortlessly.
Backpedalling, Li Feng made a terrified expression and squeezed out a few tears while trembling. Biting his bottom lip, he muttered pitifully “B-but my mum is s-sick, I can’t go until I get some herbs for her..”
His pitiful appearance was on point, sneaking a glance towards the corner of his eyes, Li Feng sneered inwardly after he saw Hou Xing’s passionate gaze, if it weren’t for Li Feng’s quick reflexes, he does not doubt that the dumb oaf would unhesitatingly topple him over to the ground.
“* Gulp * N-no problems! I’ll g-get those herbs for my moth- no, your mother immediately!” Wiping away the trickle of drool that ran down his chin, Hou Xing rushed over to the cabinets and hurriedly grabbed the things Li Feng asked for.
“H-how much are t-these? T-t-they l-look expensive…” With an extremely depressed face, his watery eyes started brimming with tears that threatened to fall at any moment.
“These costs around a thousand and sixty Yuan, but I’ll cut it down to a thousand for you.” Hou Xing had indeed charged the right amount, but would Li Feng simply pay and leave? The answer is a definite NO. Even if he had been given a discount, Li Feng had planned on taking everything for free.
“A-aah! A thousand Yuan… I * Pauses * do not have that much on me… * Sniffles *” Turning around with his back facing Hou Xing, Li Feng opened the wallet at an angle where the insides would be easily exposed to anyone behind the counter.
Sneaking a glance at the wallet, Hou Xing’s eyes turned while his head spun for ideas and a moment later, his eyes flashed with a trace of vicious light.
Erasing the sneer from his face, Hou Xing coughed out loud so that Li Feng would turn his sexy back around to face him.
“U-uummm.. I thi-“ Before Li Feng could finish the rest of the sentence, Hou Xing cut him off with his palm stretched outwards.
“Ahem, even though I really wish to pay the bill for an attractive lady such as yourself but once I am done paying for you, I won’t have any left for me to spend.. But..” He paused to check if Li Feng was still listening, seeing the anticipation written on “ Her ” face, he then continued with “ But, if you promise to grant me a few favours, I’ll consider pay everything that you have gotten today..”
He spoke with a voice full of righteousness, his eyes however, betrayed him as they burned with such a feverish light that seemed to portray his inner thoughts.
Hou Xing had already started picturing how he would ravage the beauty standing before him, he thought that he already had this pure beauty in the bag.
“A-a few favours? B-but…” Feigning an expression of contemplation, he was again cut off by Hou Xing’s annoying voice “Do you want to see your mother suffer? If not for yourself, think for your mother…” He whispered gently, as if trying to lure a little girl with candy.
“…A-Alright! F-for mother, I’ll do you a few favours but those are only a portion of the things I needed…” His silky voice rang in Hou Xing’s ears, as of right now, Li Feng was a hundred and twenty percent sure that he would accept anything he asked for.
No one would be stupid to the point of rejecting an extremely delicious meat that was placed on a silver platter, it was already placed right before your eyes so why not send it straight into your mouth, even if it meant spending a few hundred dollars more.
As Li Feng had predicted, Hou Xing immediately moved, his silhouette flashing as he grabbed everything. He felt a little heartache when he had actually paid it out of his own pocket but for a beauty like Li Feng, it was totally worth it.
After packing up everything into bags, Hou Xing jumped over the wooden counter and walked towards Li Feng, his eyes blatantly sweeping back and forth Li Feng’s body.
“W-what?” Stepping back, Li Feng looked cautiously to the approaching Hou Xing who had a bright smile on his face.
“C’mon baby, it’s still twenty minutes before opening hours, let’s make good use of the remaining time~” Hou Xing smacked his lips, his eyes locked onto the prey before him.
“A-ah… B-but it’s my first time… A-ah! I know!” Li Feng exclaimed as if he had gotten a great idea of sorts.
“What?” With a raised brow, Hou Xing asked impatiently.
“Why don’t you show me yours first~ It’s my first time so I am pretty nervous, let me see yours first before I show you mine~” Li Feng blew his breath towards Hou Xing’s face.
Inhaling the sweet breath, Hou Xing’s body shook with excitement. His face flushed red as he panted.
“What a naughty girl~ Alright then, I’ll do it for my precious, look closely~” Pulling down his pants, Hou Xing heavily panted as he grabbed his steaming hot member.
You want a naughty girl eh? I’ll be a naughty girl then~
Overlooking the disgusting sight before him, Li Feng’s eyes flashed with disdain as he swept a glance towards the small sausage.
Under Li Feng’s piercing gaze, Hou Xing only grew more excited, his hands stroking violently as if trying to rip his member off.
While Hou Xing was too engrossed with his violent activity, Li Feng took out an object and pressed several times on the surface.
Aiming it towards Hou Xing who had his eyes shut with delight, Li Feng’s body emitted a chill.
Lifting his fore finger, he then pressed it down towards the surface of the object held in his hands with a sneer.
