“I-it’s fu-fuckin over.. Ugh..” Li Feng managed to squeeze out a few words in between his hurried and dragged out breaths. Lifting his heavy eyelids, he saw a beautiful white kitten staring back at him with moistened eyes.

Well, at this point, it was not even weird to Li Feng that Yun Xue could even tear up as he was already numbed to the number of surprises he had gotten from the little feline. She nudged her face against Li Feng’s cheeks and as she let out “ Meow ” cries with a melancholic tone.

“Ke-k * Cough * L-looks like I have made you worry, my bad..” Faced with her overdose of affection, he lightly caressed her head like a lover’s touch as he whispered softly towards the worried feline.

Licking his dried lips, he could taste the faint copper-ish taste that lingered from the incident earlier. Examining the surroundings, Li Feng sighed with relief after noticing that there was no signs of anyone passing by. Raising his head upwards, the moon still hung high up in the boundless starlit sky, so he guessed that it had not been long after he fainted from the overwhelming pain.

Can’t stay here forever can i? Fuck, it hurts like a bitch. Li Feng cursed inwardly as he tried to pry himself off the ground of the alleyway. Every movement he made be it large or small, made him feel like his muscles was being torn to shreds.

Looking to the right, on the ground an arm’s length away from him, was strewn with a few elegantly packaged paper bags and a slightly damaged crutch.

With a look of alarm, he tried to reach out to the bags of goods he had “ Purchased ” earlier at the Qing Yi Pavilion towards him but as he did so, his entire arm convulsed and the charming features that made up his feminine face contorted into one while he sucked in a mouthful of breath.

“…T-this is the reason why I didn’t want to use it… It’s like a repeat of the day before..” Li Feng grimaced in pain as he recalled the time when he fought with Jin Mao and his lackeys right outside the compounds of the hospital. That day, he had overexerted himself by using a complex technique that required a constitution far beyond his limits and suffered the rebounds.

“Looks like I can only try to numb the pain for now and fix the mess later on at night…” He muttered under his breath and looked back Yun Xue who was currently snugging her body against his as if she wanted to merge with her owner.

“Yun Xue, can you help me get a white cloth bundle out the bags there?” He queried unblinkingly.

Yun Xue raised her furry head and under his gaze, trotted towards the bag and drilled herself into it. Before a minute had even passed, she peered her head out and dragged out with her a small light cloth bundle towards Li Feng.

“Thanks.” He smiled at the smart kitten with a little twinge of pride welling up within him, no one else but Li Feng had such a smart kitten, who would not be proud?!

Mewing and nodding her head, she skipped towards Li Feng and hopped atop his body with a graceful leap, sitting down on his thigh, she stared curiously at what her master with her beautiful azure gems.

Gritting his teeth, he forced himself to reach out to the cloth bundle and with a little difficulty, he unwrapped the cloth with trembling hands and revealed a bundle of silver needles tied up together.

These are just simple stainless silver needles used mainly for acupuncture, the pricing for it was rather cheap and can be found pretty much in most herbal stores.

Taking off his denim jacket and pulling up the sleeves of his striped shirt, exposing his mediocre arms in the open. Li Feng then proceeded to pulling out an ordinary looking silver needle amongst the many others.

Carefully, he raised the needle and with well-practised actions, pierced it into a specific point in his shoulder with no hesitation. Centimetre by centimetre, the needle sunk deep into his flesh and with a twist, he bent the other half off, only leaving about the size of half a grain on the surface, if one does not look closely, it was impossible to notice the needle.

Within the span of a few minutes, Li Feng had easily finished off with the last needle in his thigh and bent the remaining part off. Looking at the places he administered the acupunctures, the shoulders and thighs, he nodded and hid them under the fabric.

Feeling the numbing sensation spreading throughout his limbs, he smiled and stretched his body and even though he seemed to be moving normally, he was infact feeling a little light headed along with the numbness.

Crouching, he carefully opened the bags and thankfully, the contents within didn’t spill out nor had they gotten damaged.

Rubbing his throbbing head, he grunted as he pushed himself off the ground with the damaged crutch and stumbled his way home without taking another look back. Yun Xue obediently trailed behind him while occasionally looking towards her master’s back with a little worry.

After a long arduous hour of walking like a drunken man under the effects of alcohol as well as drugs, Li Feng had finally managed to drag his exhausted body back to the apartment building all the way from the old decrepit alleyway.

Bearing with the growing numbing sensation, he planted his heavy footsteps one after the other as he trudged on forward as though he was walking in the paddy field and entered the perimeters of the parking area with Yun Xue trotting ahead of him while occasionally taking a glance back.

If it were not for the fact the feline constantly monitored and guided him along the journey, Li Feng would have gotten lost from the grogginess and fatigue. As he was under a semi “ Drunken ” state, he did not stop to think how the fur ball was able to recognize the directions back and even managing to guide him.

Making his way through the parking lot with half opened eyes, he walked past an antique looking car and suddenly stopped in his tracks. Inadvertently, he casted his gaze onto the reflection on the side mirror and hurriedly placed a hand over his mouth to muffle the shriek that was about to escape.

Without even having to look at his own appearance, he knew that he looked extremely pathetic at the moment but now that he had taken a real look in the reflection, he was astonished.

At the instant he saw his reflection, the grogginess was completely washed away by shock. Moving closer to the parked vehicle, with great difficulty, he bent his body forward to get a closer look.

With widened eyes, he examined himself. There was no problem with his hair except for being a little ruffled up, his face though, had undergone a huge change.

His slightly tanned skin had turned into an unhealthy shade of white as though it was a sheet of blank paper that was devoid of any colours. Under his eyes were dark circles and if it were not for the absence of the animal ears, one would have associated him with the pandas in the zoo. The worse part was that both of his arms turned a little swollen with dark purplish patches over it.

Despite his sickly pale complexion, it didn’t bring down his charm as it made him look a little evil just like those handsome antagonists that appears in the stories.

After a long moment of silence, he finally muttered under his ragged breath “..D-Damn.. I still look so fucking fabulous…” and if it weren’t for the fact that his arms and legs felt like dead weight, he would have posed a couple of times while shouting ‘I AMU SOOORUU KAWAAIII ANDDURU HANDSOMERU DESU~’.

Pulling back his gaze reluctantly from the “ God Gifted ” face of his in the reflection, he sighed before he told Yun Xue to follow him.

Gotta do something about this gaunt appearance, if I don’t, that worry wart of a little brother of mine would wreck the heavens if he saw me like this. He thought with a little trepidation as he recalled the past when he had accidentally gotten injured at a part time job.

Quivering uncontrollably, he shook off those terrifying thoughts and made his way towards an park in the vicinity. Since it was only a little over eight at night, there wouldn’t be anyone in there. With that in mind, he pulled Yun Xue with him.

Sfx Thud~ Clack!

After entering the men’s washroom, he locked the cubicle behind him and sat on the toilet seat while Yun Xue sat on his lap looking a little uncomfortable.

“Bear with me kay? I’ll be done in ten minutes.” He turned his gaze towards the kitten and spoke with a wry smile.

Pecking her in the face, he smiled and shook his head lightly. Grabbing the cloth bundle from earlier, he pulled out several needles and placed them at the sides while he stripped bare except for the boxer briefs.

Clasping the needles firmly between his fingers, he examined his body with a solemn face and after a few turns of his mind, he took a deep breath and his hands started to move.

Right now, several places had started to swell up and show signs of bruising. Without even taking a second look, he knew that he had sustained a few internal injuries that resulted in his scary appearance so what he needed to do now was to force out the clotted blood within.

Narrowing his eyes, his hands started to dance within the small confines of the cubicle which seemed a little silly.

Sfx Putt! Putt! Putt! Putt! Putt!...

After inserting the needles, he looked like a human porcupine which was the exact reason why he didn’t want to do this in the very likely situation of being seen by someone.

Sitting in a cross-legged position with his eyes shut, Li Feng rested both hands on each respective knee with the palm facing upwards while the middle finger joined with his thumb.

Utilizing the proper breathing methods, his chest undulated along with his breathing as he tried to nudge the slumbering white flame residing within his Chi Center.

Without waiting for too long, a wisp of warmth started to circulate throughout his body like a fish swimming within the stream, and notably, it started to move towards the places where he had administered the acupuncture.

As the wisp of energy assaulted the different areas where he had specified, his face started to contort in pain as beads of cold sweat rolled alongside his face. Gritting his teeth, he bore with the excruciating pain as this was the result he wanted.

Five minutes.. Ten minutes..

As the time passed, his complexion started to worsen, his entire back was drenched with cold sweat while the various spots where the needles could be seen sticking out started to swell even more.

“Hrmmph!” With a low grunt, he forcibly made the Chi explode out in all directions and in that instant, his entire body tensed up. Feeling as though something was trying to escape through his mouth, he stood up and faced the toilet bowl.

“Gaaa…” A thick-looking dark red substance can be seen gushing out through his agape mouth like a geyser and headed straight down into the toilet bowl dyeing the clear liquid red.

Using a paper towel, he wiped it around his mouth without showing any abnormalities as if the frightening blood geyser was a normal occurrence. Opening the door to the cubicle, he walked towards the sink and washed his face while examining his body.

His paled face had regained a healthy shade that differed from earlier, the bruises on his body as well as both of his forearms had also visibly started to fade away like ink when it touches water.

With just acupuncture alone, it should not be able for the effects to show in such a short time but thanks to the aid of his Chi, Li Feng had managed to shorten the time needed to recover.

Although the amount of Chi contained within him was miniscule, it still held a significant amount of energy so injuries like these are not that much of a big deal but due to the loss of blood, his face looked slightly pale but looked okay nonetheless.

Except for the needles he had used to numb himself, he pulled out the rest which he had stuck within himself in the cubicle and donned the clothes back onto his body. Readjusting his unkempt hair, he smiled towards Yun Xue and brought her out.

Upon returning home, Li Feng’s slightly sullied clothes had brought up suspicions and being the worry wart his younger brother was, he was pretty much interrogated before he could even take a seat.

At the beginning, Xiao Long had a gut feeling that something fishy was going on and paired up with the bond from being brothers, he was pretty confident in his sixth sense so being the responsible lovable and responsible younger brother that he was, Xiao Long went all out in the interrogations department.

Thankfully, Li Feng’s acting skills and response allowed him to slide under the radar of the “ Interrogator ”, before even entering the apartment, he had already cooked up a story. Mixed with both partial lies and truths and the his skilful responses, he easily fooled the younger brother of his.

Since he knows that Xiao Long had a habit of over thinking things when it came to Li Feng who was his emotional support, Li Feng had to lie all to more to take the weight off his small heart.

In the kitchen, Li Feng currently dressed in a bright pink apron with frills but if there was any bystanders, regardless of gender, his outfit would spark off a cliché reaction like a massive nosebleed.

With both his slender arms and thighs deliciously exposed on the outside along with his boxer briefs under the apron, it made him look like he was a female adult actress wearing the famous “ Naked Apron ” outfit.

“Okay, it’s all done!” Li Feng smiled as he looked down on his steaming hot dishes that he had already plated.

“My Dearest Brother, are you done? We can smell it from here, if you don’t come soon, we will barge into the kitchen!” As Li Feng was in the moment of admiring his talents, Xiao Long’s young and tender voice rang out.

Smiling wryly, he hurriedly brought out the dishes one after another.

“Waaa… * Drools *” Holding onto his chopsticks and spoon, Xiao Long exclaimed as a trail of saliva flowed down from the corner of his lips. “Mewww…” Yun Xue’s eyes glittered.

On the wooden round table before Xiao Long and Yun Xue, placed numerous dishes and a bowl of soup. In an instant, a mouth-watering aroma filled the entire apartment while the steam diffused from the food wafted upwards.

In hopes to increase the overall constitution of both his and his younger brother’s constitution, he added a few medical herbs into these dishes with the somewhat mediocre knowledge he had attained from the memories of the past life.

Ever since he had attained the ancient manuals from the fateful encounter, Li Feng mostly focused on acupuncture due to the time constraints and disregarded the rest.

Other than the manuals on acupuncture, there was also manuals or much more like encyclopaedias on herbs that were either extinct or never before heard of except for a few like Ginseng, Cordyceps, Lingzhi and a few others.

But during the occasional breaks that rarely happens, Li Feng would pass the time by reading those along with books on Traditional Chinese Medicine.

If Li Feng had to compare Traditional Chinese Medicine to something else, it would be Science but way more complex that it seemed on the surface with the different combinations, complications and variables like the type of food, herb, weather, state of the body.

Although Li Feng wasn’t an expert in the subject of Medicine, melding herbs into his dishes was considered relatively easy.

Being a teenager himself, Li Feng knows that most kids does not like vegetables and the heavy taste and smell of herbs so he made them after processing them in various ways to eliminate the strong odour.

Also because he had spewed out a fountain of blood earlier, Li Feng had to cook a dish to make up for his blood deficiency and without taking much time, the food was swept up into the tummies of both Xiao Long and Yun Xue without any mercy.

Fast forwarded to wee hours of the morning, Li Feng sat on a mat with the soles of both his feet touching each other while placing both hands on his knees. The light that peered into the room bounced off his bare body and the needles that protruded from it.

From head to toe, Li Feng had stuck needles into almost every place you could possibly think of making him look like a human porcupine and luckily no one had seen him or they would have passed out from shock.

By today, he planned to get rid of the problems and sickness that haunts his body, be it his legs or the damages he had gotten today, everything must be purged.

Recalling the events from earlier today when he had fought with the members of the triads, Li Feng gritted his teeth in anger. If it weren’t for his immobility, he would never have ended up so pathetic, the more he thought about it, the anger he gotten.

If he didn’t have the memories from the past life, Li Feng would have definitely ended up badly. Never did anyone have the audacity to treat him in this way, as if looking down on him wasn’t enough, he was even beaten up.

For a man like Li Feng who had a lot of pride, this was the highest form of humiliation. In order not to receive such humiliation like today, Li Feng had made up his mind to better himself and remove the shackles that bound him.

The time was now around Four AM in the morning, most of the occupants around the neighbourhood including Xiao Long was still in dreamland and as to why he did not chose to sleep, there are two reasons.

There are Raw Chi Essences that surrounds us all, these are the energy which Martial Practitioner absorbs into one’s self and once it gets taken into one’s body, it would then be converted in our Chi Center which is located in our abdominal region into something we all know as Chi.

In one way or another, Raw Chi Essences would no doubt contain impurities but during the wee hours of the morning, the level of purity contained within the Raw Chi Essences can be considered to be the purest.

The differences of the levels of purity contained within the Chi of a martial practitioner would greatly affect oneself and the purer the Raw Chi Essences one takes into the body, the greater the benefit.

A great example would be that our body is like a filter, while the Chi would be a substance that passes through it so the purer the substance, the easier it is to pass through. The human body can be referred to as a small universe as it contains a myriad of points referred to as Meridans or Acupuncture Points. For martial practitioners, Chi is lead through these meridans like vehicles moving through roads.

With that said, the purity of one’s energy would determine the fluidity and speed it passes through the meridans which will allow the martial practitioner the advantage in fights.

As time ticked past, Li Feng’s complexion turned for the worse. Strangely, the surface of his body had started to redden while the needles that protruded from his body vibrated at a high frequency.

This was one of the methods he had attained from the ancient manuals called “Samsaric Taboo Needles ”, Samsaric derives from the word Samsara and there is a particular reason why it was called that.

The supposed patient or user that undergoes the method would experience an overwhelmingly excruciating experience that feels like one had taken a roundabout trip through hell in an unceasing cycle.

This technique is actually a healing method but many who underwent it died in the process and not long after it was discovered, the high ranking officials declared it as taboo after the demerits outweighed the benefits.

Being a technique the required a high level of willpower without the requirements for a strong constitution, Li Feng chose this method as he himself had undergone it once so he had the confidence of succeeding it once more.

By sealing the major acupuncture points of the human body, Li Feng would be able to clog every opening of his body and contain everything within. Utilizing a particular method, he will then manipulate the Chi within in a way that would make it rampage through out his entire body, breaking everything down while reconstructing it using the pure essences in the surroundings in a repeated cycle that would never stop until he himself wills it to but if he fails to bear with the pain and faints, it would result in his demise.

A second felt like a millennia for the person in question, the wooden spoon Li Feng place between his set of pearly white teeth are being chipped off by the gritting and grinding and the cracks are starting to spread outwards like a web.

If there is a purgatory, Li Feng had no doubt that this method would either be on equal terms or even go beyond that.

Jin Mao… If I don’t fucking torture you by my own hands, I will write my name Li Feng upside down… Just you fucking wait… He cursed inwardly as his veins bulged like giant earthworms, wriggling grotesquely beneath his skin.

He jerked in his position, quivering non-stop while the wooden spoon he bit onto made crackling sounds. Li Feng couldn’t describe what he was going thorough, was it being burned inside out or continuously stabbed with poison laced knives or being torn to shreds, it felt like nothing but felt like everything at the same time.

God knows how much time had passed but during this time, the redness on the surface of his skin started to subside while the needles soothed down.

Lifting his eyelids, Li Feng raised both hands with his palms facing upwards and lowered them with a low grunt.

Sfx Crackle! Crackle! Crackle! Crackle!

Shockingly, the protruding needles violent rattled for a moment and broke apart, dissipating into the air. Feeling as though something was trying to force its way out from the back of his throat, Li Feng parted his lips.

In that instant his lips separated, a black coloured foul-smelling gas escaped and drifted its way out the open window like a ghost, watching the gas leaving his body, Li Feng’s eyes lit up.

Realizing the changes in his body, Li Feng smirked devilishly as he had successfully purged the toxins out of his body.

“Time for a test drive..” He said and while still in a sitting position, Li Feng got up with a graceful backflip without any aid and promptly, he started to strike the air with punches and kicks and as he had expected, his movements were much more fluid and natural than before.

“Looks like everything had been fixed and even got an upgrade, huehuehue… Well, time for a bath..” Sniffing his shirt, Li Feng frowned and strode towards the bathroom with steps that exuded confidence.

An Hour Later

“Xiao Long, I am going to leave now~” Bending down and kissing Xiao Long's forehead, Li Feng smiled and walked out the door with a genuine smile, he had finally gotten rid of his problems and now it was time for payback.

“The bitches at school, your Lao Zi, i am coming for you~” A cold sneer formed on his feminine face while he adjusted his gold rimmed spectacles, a glint of chill flashed across his coffee coloured eyes.

Wearing his student uniform, Li Feng got on his bicycle and rode off into the distance.
