Chapter 58 : Alarming News

Cale and Darkie appeared out of the subway station. Darkie quickly took a heavy deep breath and said, "Finally, we are out of that suffocating place." Cale glanced at Darkie and then again forward.

Darkie also looked at his surroundings and did not see any reporters or any officers and raised his brows in response and said, "Huh?..." He blinked twice as he looked left and right. "There is no one? Master. Isn't that unusual?" Darkie said as he looked at Cale. Darkie raised his brows as he looked at Cale's expression. "What is it, Master?" Darkie asked as he took one step forward.

Cale, who had a surprised and serious look, said, "I must say I too am surprised..." He looked down with his hand on his chin with furrowed brows.

"Really? Then what do you think happened?" Darkie asked as he also put his hand on his chin with the same pose as Cale and asked, "Is it maybe because we came out of the Fracture days later?" and looked at Cale to see his response.

"Maybe, but I don't think so. Maybe you don't know, but I do—these reporters would do anything and I mean anything to get just one word out of us," Cale said as he had a grimace expression on his face. "Really. That's scary," Darkie also copied Cale and made a grimace expression.

"..." Cale looked at Darkie with narrow eyes. Darkie quickly looked the other way ignoring Cale's staring. "Yeah... So I think there is something bigger that happened which caused this," Cale said with a worried look.

"Do you think something bad happened?" Darkie asked with a serious expression. "I hope not...." Cale hesitated a little as he spoke and thought and then said, "So let's go to the Fracture Restorer's Alliance Building to know what has been happening these days." This time Darkie was the first to run ahead of Cale. "This brat!" Cale thought.

"So this is a race, huh?" Cale smiled and shouted as he turned into lightning and dashed forward.

After a few minutes, Cale quickly appeared at the entrance of the Fracture Restorer's Alliance Building as the lightning on his body started to disappear slowly. Cale did not look very tired. Darkie appeared from behind Cale and panted heavily and shouted while catching his breath, "Master, you could have let me win. Don't you think?"

Cale glanced at him with narrowed eyes and said, "And why should I have let you win, brat?" with folded arms. "Hmm?!"

Darkie looked at him and then looked away in annoyance, saying "...Whatever." Cale looked at him with an angry and annoyed expression, "You are growing bold day by day, Darkie!" Cale pinched his ears quickly. "Okay. I won't do it again!" Darkie shouted as he tried to pull Cale away.

"Let's go and meet with Soojin," Cale said as he let go of Darkie's ears and started to go through the entrance with Darkie behind him. The guards looked at Darkie and wanted to stop him as they unfolded their arms but Cale gave a deadly stare at them, making them fold their arms and leave Darkie alone. Darkie quickly stuck his tongue out and mocked them, "Bleh!!" and went behind Cale quickly as he started laughing.

Cale and Darkie went inside the elevator and started going up, 'This brat needs to be checked for real,' thought Cale. The elevator light changed, and both of them stepped outside. Cale and Darkie started to walk toward Soojin's office, but they were stopped by a yellow-haired girl. "Please stop, Sir Dark Scythe!" she shouted as she stood in front of them. "Huh?" Cale and Darkie both looked at her in unison.

The yellow-haired girl looked at them and said, "S-Sir Soojin is not here, Sir Dark Scythe!" She shouted. Darkie looked at her with a mischievous smile. Cale quickly punched his head. "And who are you, girl?" Cale asked while holding the head of Darkie down with one hand as he struggled to get Cale's hand off of him.

The yellow-haired girl looked at Darkie, who was struggling, with a bit of hesitation. She said with some admiration in her tone, "M-My name is Yeonhee." "Yeonhee?" Cale raised his brows. "I remember. You are that girl who was with Soojin that day," Cale said as he let go of Darkie.

"Yes, sir. I am honored that you remember me!" Yeonhee shouted quickly as she bowed to him. "You don't need to do that," Cale said quickly as Yeonhee looked at him again. "Tell me, where is Soojin and what is going on, Yeonhee?" Cale asked with a gentle smile on his face.

Yeonhee hesitated and then said with a serious tone, "Something happened to the talents you chose, and Soojin is in the hospital with them." As she finished, she glanced at Cale, whose gentle smile was now gone and replaced with a cold and serious expression.

Yeonhee opened her mouth to say something, but she was cut off by Cale. "Where?" Cale asked, with some aura leaking from his body, scaring Yeonhee. Yeonhee said with a scared expression, "The healer hospital that Soojin and his team recently opened. T-There."

As soon as Cale heard this, he quickly got on the elevator and pushed the button to go down. 'If something happens to Minho and the others...' Cale thought, with bloodlust leaking out of him as the elevator went down. 'This won't end well at all,' thought Darkie, who stood behind Cale. Darkie had a very worried expression on his face as a drop of sweat appeared on his face.

In the healer hospital, Soojin stood with a worried expression in front of a transparent glass, seeing some people on hospital beds. "This is not good at all. By all means, I must calm Cale," muttered Soojin with sweat on his face.
