Chapter 30 : The Dance of Chain and Wills End

Jinwoo crashed into one of the floating boxes, unconscious.

"Now it's your turn," said Cale casually as he swung his chain, a devious smirk appearing on his face.

Cale thrusted his chain forward at them, but this time Kyungsoo grabbed it with full force, fighting Cale's strength. Cale did not resist. He let him but kept applying force to the chain, increasing the tension.

Minseok ran towards Cale, jumping from one box to the other. 'This is the perfect time to strike him. His right hand is fixed on the black chain,' thought Minseok as he appeared on Cale's right side.

Cale looked at him with a smile, pushed his left side backward and to the right, and a kitchen knife appeared in his hand. He kept his balance and firmly grasped the black chain with his right hand.

'What is that?' thought Minseok as his blade clashed with Cale's weapon. 'A kitchen knife?!' Minseok shouted in his mind.

Cale adjusted his posture and started fighting with the kitchen knife in one hand while still holding the chain firmly. They stood face-to-face, clashing their weapons, but... Cale picked up the pace, making Minseok unable to fight back or comprehend how many slashes were coming at him.

Minseok was so focused on the rapid slashes from the kitchen knife that he didn't notice when Cale stopped and kicked him in the gut. "Ugh!" shouted Minseok. The kitchen knife disappeared from Cale's hand as he grabbed Minseok's head, kicked him, and sent him flying into the platform wall. "FUC-" Minseok groaned as he fainted and fell to the floor with a loud thud.

Cale turned his head to Kyungsoo. "Now it's your turn!" he shouted as he pulled the chain toward him with his right arm, causing Kyungsoo to fly toward him at high speed.

'He wasn’t using his full strength. I knew that. But how did he pull me toward him so easily?!' Kyungsoo shouted internally as he flew, still holding onto the chain.

Kyungsoo let go of the chain halfway, thinking he would just fall down and get back up. But Cale ducked and launched himself toward Kyungsoo in a split second, appearing right in front of him.

Kyungsoo hoped his defense would save him as he raised both arms in front of himself, but Cale didn't care. He smiled from ear to ear and punched Kyungsoo with enough force to knock him out. Kyungsoo flew into one of the floating boxes as smoke rose from the impact.

Cale landed on the platform, placing his right hand on his neck, cracking it as he said, "Is that it? Or do you guys have more in store?" Cale said sarcastically, his tone mocking as he smiled at Haejin.

"Ugh!" muttered Haejin, looking at Cale with determination. "Then take this attack!" she shouted as waterballs formed around her and condensed, becoming smaller in size.

"Hmm?!" Cale looked at this new form of Haejin's attack and said playfully, "Oi oi, I know this one. I like it. Come on!" he shouted, opening his arms wide.

"Sure!" shouted Haejin as the waterballs flew at Cale. But this time, they weren't waterballs—they were water bullets. Cale looked at them and smiled.

"I played this game with a 'Lizard' before," Cale shouted in excitement as he ran toward Haejin with the kitchen knife, cutting down the water bullets with swift movements.

Haejin threw more water bullets at him, but Cale sliced through them like tofu, charging at her like a bulldozer. "Shit," Haejin muttered, mixing waterballs with water bullets as she attacked him.

Cale was now in close range to Haejin. He cut down the water bullets swiftly without stopping and then kicked a waterball toward her, creating such strong winds that the other waterballs flew at her as well.

Haejin jumped out of the way, dodging the waterballs. They fell onto the platform, destroying it. "I did it," muttered Haejin, thinking she was safe. But a shadow loomed over her. She looked to the left and saw Cale standing with his knife, looking down at her.

"AHHHHH!!" Haejin screamed like a frightened child, losing her tough act. Cale knocked her out by slapping her neck.

"Sigh~ She needs more training for her mind than her skills, I guess," Cale muttered, shaking his head.

As Cale thought this, Minho attacked him from behind. Cale jumped backward, completely dodging the attack. "Come on, you need to do better than that," Cale said calmly to Minho as he landed, watching him prepare to attack again.

Minho slashed at him repeatedly, but Cale kept jumping backward. "Boring," said Cale, mocking Minho.

But Cale raised an eyebrow as he saw Minho smile while slashing at his neck. Cale quickly looked behind him and saw a water bullet coming his way. Cale smiled, grabbed the knife, and threw it at the water bullet.

"Now's my chance, just like I planned!" Minho shouted in his mind as he sheathed his sword, got into position, and breathed in and out. With one swift motion, fire appeared on his hands and his arcane blade as he slashed at Cale from behind.

As the blade was about to cut him, Cale ducked and moved backward, facing Minho before punching upward, completely knocking Minho out. Minho’s eyes rolled back as he fainted. "How the fu-" Minho thought before collapsing onto the platform.

"Heh~ Tough bastards," muttered Cale with a smirk.

"YOU ALL... PASS!!" shouted Cale, clapping his hands.

Outside the closed platform, everyone shouted in excitement as they witnessed the strongest fight for the first time. Such a fierce battle made them dream of becoming "Fracture Restorers/Creature Hunters" and one day challenging Cale, the strongest, to a fight.
