My sister grabbed my arm and pulled my out of the town. We went to a small hill in the north of the town. There were few trees there, so we sat together to protect ourselves from the blazing summery sun. I looked at her; her long black hair that fell past her shoulders, her round small ears, her beauty (in orc standards, of course), and her penetrating blue gaze, that, surprisingly for me, was apologetic.
“What’s up?”
“… That’s everything you’re going to say? What’s up? ”
I gazed at her, without understanding.
“I …, I-I am sorry. It was my fault. I was just ashamed to have such a spineless brother, so I feigned that I was going into the forest to humiliate you in front of Kehl, I never thought that you would…”
“Enough, sister”
“But it w-”
“I’m saying that’s enough. It has been a mistake, your actions were, but your intentions were good. Well, actually they hadn’t been good either. But I forgive you. Because we’re family.”
She looked at me, with tears in her eyes. Incapable of holding her stare, I looked to the front. The endless forest reflected the strong sunlight, and would damage my eyes if I were human, but that wasn’t the case.
“I will forgive you, because I know what is to wrong. I will forgive you because I know the weight of a sin. I will forgive you because you are my beloved sister.”
I took advantage of her astonishment to kiss her forehead.
“Will you forgive me for being a spineless brother?”
Speechless, she started crying.
“I do, I do” repeated almost furiously.

‘Things sure have changed’ I thought wile waving my hand to salute my sister friends, while Kehl didn’t know what to with Hannah.
“Sister, do you know if Hannah likes Kehl?” I asked quietly, when I hugged her.
“She does.” She answered while blinking.
I stared at the pair that was insistently trying to not look to each other. It was really funny in its own way. However, I would let suffer my orquish friend anymore, so I proposed to go to the cliffs. My proposal was widely accepted, so we
started to go there.
The cliffs were at the northeast part of the town, near the hill. It wasn’t much impressive, but you could throw things from above and laugh to the people that were below without breaking any skull (maybe because orc skulls are really resilient). It was a commonplace for teens to go, during the day to play, during the night for nighttime activities.
So, we arrived there. Kehl couldn’t resist to show off his brand new weapon (I had my doubts with the new part). I avoided doing so, because for me, it was more a sharpened piece of steel than a sword. Nonetheless, the girls and specially Hannah were delighted, and no praises were saved. Even my dear sister commended Kehl.
I suppose that I should explain that the orc society is deeply male chauvinist. Male orcs were bigger, fatter, uglier and in
general stronger that their female counterparts. So, with some exceptions, women spent more time learning various chores that man didn’t have time to do, until they married and, as in human society, the woman caught control (really, who have the bed, have a pet). That’s the reason why my sister said mischievously:
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
“Well, Hannah, why don’t you show your lumberjack skill to Kehl? I’m sure that he will be pleased.”
Kehl blushed (well not exactly, you know, orcs are green, but…). He stuttered an affirmative answer, while I proposed that they could go to the forest to do so, while we would wait for them here. As you could suppose, the intimacy in the forest was quite high.
While Kehl and Hannah parted off, her friends were giggling or the orc equivalent to it. It amazed me the similarity with the human behavior in this point. While I was thinking that I would die virgin (I would kill myself before fucking a female orc), my sister caught my arm and stated:
“Why do you not show some of your hunting skills? I’m hungry”.
The other girls nodded, approvingly.
I sighed.
“Let’s go. I think that we have crossed some trails before. ”

It was almost sunset when Kehl returned, holding Hannah’s hand.
“You smile a lot. I don’t remember that lumberjack was such a funny activity” I joked.
“Come on, brother, you know, physical activities are very rewarding” my sister teased.
While the two of them blushed, staring the floor, we laughed wholeheartedly.
(A.N: I know there’s not more Sci life, but I’m out of ideas (I’m open to suggestions to edit this chapter). Now, some action. )
A week has passed. Gathering herbs was the tasks that apprentices received, so here I were. After seven hours of searching I finally found the last herb, so I started returning to the village. Maybe, If I had been more attentive, I could have helped. Or not. We will never know. The truth is that an ominous smoke column was rising from the village. The herbs fell onto the ground. I ran.
The huts were burned, and strange voices resounded in the streets. I entered the hut of my sister. Fortunately she was alive.
Unfortunately, she wasn’t alone.

It was the first human I saw since my reincarnation. He wore some medieval like armor, and was accompanied by two rogue-like guys. I put my hand in my sword hilt.
The next thing I saw was an armored foot, accompanied by some laughter. I tried to stand up, but I was kicked in the stomach, and I was stamped into the wall. Desperately, I looked around. The three men were talking calmly, nest to my sister, who was sit next to them, terrified, with a light wound in her head. I dragged myself towards her, but a rogue was faster, and pierced my hand with his sword. My scream was piercing, and I received a kick in the solar plexus to silence me.
The rogues started chatting, lively:
“Really, they are such disgusting creatures.”
“Have you seen how he crawled in the ground like a worm? ” He laughed.
“Don’t insult worms, Jack”.
“Enough you two” Interupted the armored man “kill them”. He exited the hut.
“”Yessir!””
I suddenly feel my abdomen pierced, and the gust of metallic blood filled my mouth.
However, what was more important was the sight of my sister. The sword pierced her chest, and blood spurted everywhere. She extended her hand towards me. She died.
My consciousness was fading away. I hardly saw the fire that was wrapping us, and then…
Darkness.
