Author’s note:
Thanks everybody for your support. Here is a fast short release for your support (the story already has three stars and more that 500 views!). By the way, I assure that the polls are not because of an insecurity complex, na, impossible. The results of the first poll will be implemented in the next chapter.
Of course, corrections and suggestions are well received. What’s more, I beg you to do them.
Chapter 2.5:
The relation with my sister didn’t start in a good way. She didn’t like me because I was not enough brave in her eyes. She tried to no talk to me. Even when I tried to start a conversation, she just answered with “yes”, “no” and “shut up”.
However, everything changed one day.
I was 10 years old, and my sister 7. I was trying, in vain, to teach chess to Kehl. We were near the river, as this was the limits of we were allowed to go; some beasts were roaming in deeper parts of the forest. A group of girls bounced into the clearing.
My sister started to do one of her favorites hobbies: humiliate me.
“Because you, brother, you are a as brave as an cow without horns, as beautiful and scented as the latrines, as…” the list went on, with one of the most impressive demonstrations of orquish intelligence.
“Look how spineless you are! You don’ even answer!” She stomped to the other side of the river. “I’m gonna show you what it means to be brave. I will go and get some savages berries that grow in the middle of the forest”.
Annoyed, I sneered at her, thinking that she wouldn’t dare to do it. She got angry because of my response (or lack of), and shouted:
“fine!” And ran into the forest.
* * *
Five hours passed. I surrendered in front of the evidence: Kehl, whose intelligence was average, was too stupid to understand chess.
“At last, you’re really persisting” growled Kehl.
“Kehl, I suppose that you will be one of the happiest beings in the world; you know, ignorance give happiness”.
“What?” Kehl tilted his head. “Well, you are really strange. Even Krul says it”.
Did you know this text is from a different site? Read the official version to support the creator.
“That is because if Krul were more stupid, he wouldn’t have born”.
“Don’t said that. He is our teacher”
“Yeah” I paused a moment and said: “Come on, it’s late”.
“You’re right” Kehl stretched himself “Ahh, it’s fantastic to have the afternoon of Sundays free ”.
I nodded, and before I could answer I realized that:
“Where’s my sister?”
Kehl suddenly paled, and answered: “She hasn’t returned”.
Nervous, I ordered Kehl:
“Go and find help. I will try to find her.”
Kehl nodded and started running to the village. There was no time to lose. I entered into the forest, trying to imagine where my sister could be. The forest wasn’t anything special. Just big trees, and a lot of mushrooms, mostly of them mortally poisonous. So I continued towards the center of the forest.
Then I saw it.

Author’s note: Just joking, the story continues:
It was big. Very big. Its brawny limbs ended in powerful hooves. Its teeth were sharp, menacing. But the worse was its eyes, devoid of any compassion, cold, calculating. It stared at me, and then it started to move towards me.
But I was a man, so when I saw this challenge, … , I started fleeing. You know, I am of the intelligence type, and a clever man knows when to run. But maybe the scream wasn’t necessary.
I started to thank the hellish training that Krul gave us; my running speed has vastly improved. Nonetheless, it was not enough. The beast was effortlessly drawing near me. I started to feel its breath in my nape.
I realized that I was going to die.

This not counts as a chapter really. Just a 500 word mini present for the readers. Tomorrow I will try to do another chapter over 2 k words. Enjoy!
