It was very early when our demon mother woke us up. The sun hasn’t even risen from the horizon. I drowsily got up from my sleeping position when I remembered the horrors of yesterday.
*gulp*
I quickly inspected my body for any damages from that wretched stone. Hmm? Everything seems fine, even my charred throat has recovered. I repeatedly looked about my whole body until I noticed, my skin has turned to a deeper red, crimson? My claws, as well as having a lighter shade of red, grew bigger by a small bit. The changes aren’t very obvious to the eye, so it took me quite a while to discover the changes. Heck, I don’t even think my siblings will notice.
I checked my status to check if the stone messed with my stats, I was shocked to see the change in my stats,

…hurt by that terrible mother again. She whacked my head with that goddamned tail of hers. Looks like I can’t beat her yet, maybe she is a final boss or something. Sigh. She whacked me on my head again, demanding that I pay attention to what she was saying and don’t fall behind. Wait, she was talking? Crap, everyone is already feasting on delicious meat. I quickly scurried to my siblings and joined in, also enquiring about what our vicious mother had said earlier. Apparently she hasn’t said much, only briefly telling them that killing grants more experience points, which I kind of figured out yesterday. As we finished our heavenly breakfast, my siblings were excitedly chatting about their level up. I naturally didn’t join the talk, I am leagues above them, I don’t them all grouping up against me. This simple meal is not enough to make me level up.
Mother gathered all of us and brought us away from this place, claiming that it was time we went back to the tribe. She carried all of us on her back while walking on all fours, following a complicated route into a huge grassland area. Thank god I was on my mother’s back, if not I would have gotten lost on this horrible winding path that confuses my brain. On the way back, she informed us about the procedures that will undergo when we arrive. We are from the house of Di’ An, a relatively well off family in the Leza tribe. We will be named in front of the whole tribe and then we will be allowed a night of rest. Mother said all hatchlings would be put to test afterwards, only allowing the strong to remain and letting the weak die. It’s pretty obvious I would survive. Anyways, mother told us not to fret. According to her, we will only be forced to undergo this test for once every week, and the test will stop after 4 weeks of trial. By then, we will be recognized as official members of the tribe and we shall get proper names.
I was extremely bored during the trip back, and mother didn’t say anything else either, so I decided to look at my siblings clearly. Out of the sixteen of us, only six of us were coloured. The one with stats closest to mine was my golden coloured sister. Her stats are still the closest to mine, but thanks to that weird stone, my stats were quite a few digits above hers. I talked to my coloured siblings and ignored the others, I only talk to capable beings. I tried to enforce the rule of me being the leader of this family, but they were unwilling. I didn’t try doing anything forcefully though, I was afraid they would gang up on me. We chatted about other things, but I found that their speech was very dull so I went to sleep.

Not long after I went to sleep, my mother screeched into our ears, announcing our arrival back home. Her mouth was right next to my head, frightening me. I flailed about on my mother’s back and fell, shocked out of my skin. I wasn’t injured, but damn, my mother is a true beast. I slowly got up on my hind legs and stared at the sight in front of us. With the harsh light of afternoon, I saw a few gigantic beasts with Leza hatchlings on their back, heading towards a gigantic marsh with an astonishing amount of houses littered across. Whoa, the smallest of the beasts are only a tiny bit smaller than my mother, what king of stupid tribe has so many overgrown beasts? My mother picked me up and placed her on her back, continuing to move forwards into the tribe. I looked at the other hatchlings, curious about them, as they will be my loyal subjects later on. As mother continued carrying us, I noted that there are considerably smaller amounts of coloured Leza on the backs of some of the other beasts and asked mother why. She smirked at me and stated that we are from the noble house of Di’ An, and said that we should be naturally be superior to other houses. I just stared at my mother, and asked whether we were the strongest house in this tribe. She told me that we aren’t and that the strongest would be the royals of our Leza tribe. She said the nobles were devolved descendants of the draconians. Although they aren’t as powerful as draconians, they are definitely not weaker than ordinary Leza and possess the unfair advantage of lightning. I looked around to spot my future rivals, but my mother stopped me and said that they aren’t here currently and that I will spot them at the naming ceremony later.
My mother brought us to a hall located in the middle of the settlement and put all of us down. She made a super scary face and told us to behave or else we have to suffer her wrath. All of us nodded immediately, fearing her wrath. As we stepped into the hall, a sight of hundred over hatchlings and grown Leza greeted us, all sitting on the floor. Turns out we were one of the latest ones to arrive. We sat at a booth at the right, near to the front. We waited for a while, to ensure that everyone was present. A figure came out and walked to the front, it was a male Leza with a stature slightly bigger than my mother’s. He had glowing yellow eyes and a crusty blue skin with spikes protruding all the way from his shoulders to his tail. The very definition of awesome. (Think of a standing charmeleon but with dirty cracked blue skin, with spikes all over his back from shoulder to tail. Also without the fire on tail). He pronounced himself as the patriarch of this tribe and works alongside with the royal family. He explained the procedures to us younglings. He told us that he will call us up house by house and will inspect the possible roads of fate of us younglings, and will name us as with characters suitable to what our glimpse of futures show.
He came to a halt and said that he will start the naming ceremony. “House of An’ Thuran please come up,” he shouted loudly
Notes-
Ok, here is the 2nd chapter. As you can see, the MC has turned a bit greedy after his death, I will write a chapter explaining this from a different POV a few chapters down the road. I will be using pokemon to describe the appearance of a lot of my creatures. Oh yeah, the buffs to his stats are already included, so you don't need to do any pesky calculations.
Anyways, please point out if i left any mistakes. Please point out if you notice anything off. Please tell if you have issues with anything. If anyone is nice enough and would like to help me PR my stories, please PM me. Thanks
