“What the hell was that?”
Lily explained, “The regeneration system that is currently in your chest is designed to heal you from any sort of damage, whether it's a gunshot wound or a knife wound; the device will heal the wound, nullifying any pain you would feel.”
“So, I’m invincible?”
Lily continued, "Well, metaphorically speaking, yes. You will recover any wounds you sustain in a fight, but you will still feel the pain. The only concern we have is how much pain will be too much for your body to handle.”
Jack proceeds to ask if everyone on the team has one of the regeneration systems. Lily could only say that she doesn’t decide who can have the regeneration system put in their chest. That decision is up to Harry. She did reassure Jack that it was only a matter of time before Ellie, Asuka, Kairi, Troy, and Anakin all had the regeneration placed in their chests.
Before Jack could leave, Lily had one last question she needed to ask, and that was about Jack’s coma. More specifically, where he was during it.
Confused, Jack asked if Lily could be more descriptive and explain what she meant. Lily explained, “Normally people would relive past moments or find themselves walking in a field or on a beach. I just want to know what happened to you.”
“All I remember was nothing but darkness, and then, poof, I woke up in a bed before falling off. That's when Anakin came to check up on me.”
After Jack explained what happened to him, Lily was happy enough to let Jack head back to his quarters. They said goodbye to each other, and Jack headed for his room for some much-needed sleep.
Once inside, Jack remembered that his computer would have information on the masked man who attacked them in the forest and decided to read that before going to bed.
Opening up his computer, he searched for a file labeled White Mask. Opening the file, he found a text document that went into detail about the information Rainfall and the rest of the team had on the strange man in a white mask.
Entry Log, 21/03/27
"A few days ago, we had our first encounter with a strange man who appeared out of nowhere and attacked an entire platoon. It was a brutal assault, and we were all taken aback by his sudden appearance and viciousness. Upon further investigation, we discovered that this man was working in cahoots with Stallone. Stallone was already a dangerous individual, but with the addition of this masked man, his power and influence seemed to have grown exponentially. It's as if Stallone has become invincible with this new partnership."

Entry Log 24/03/27
"I'm still in shock, to be honest. It's unbelievable that those two individuals joined forces and launched a brutal attack on District 7. The motive behind their attack was to send a message to the royal family, but their actions put countless innocent lives in danger. Thankfully, a squad was able to intervene and prevent a catastrophic outcome, but not before they were ambushed by a swarm of GMs. It's difficult to admit, but given the resources and power of our opponents, it's only a matter of time before we find ourselves outnumbered and outmatched."
Entry Log: 28/03/27
"My team just had their first encounter with the masked man, and unfortunately, they were completely outmatched and overwhelmed by his superior tactics, intelligence, and ruthlessness. It was not surprising that they struggled against him, as he is a formidable opponent who knows how to exploit his strengths and the weaknesses of others. While I have confidence in my team's ability to defeat Stallone, who operates purely on anger, this masked man is a different story altogether. He is more dangerous, unpredictable, and careless, and he will stop at nothing to achieve his goals, even if it means taking countless lives in the process."
After reading the latest entry log, Jack felt a sense of confidence flow through him; he knew that he was the key factor in stopping Stallone and the masked man from entering not only Japan but the entire world. With this new sense of confidence, he headed for bed for some much-needed sleep.
“Good morning, Jack... It’s currently 9:38 am with warm skies outside.”
Jack pulled himself up off the bed and commented on the AI voice being back in his room.
“I thought I told you to get out.”
“My apologies. But I’m programmed to greet you every time you wake up or call out my name.” SAM responded.
With no other choice but to accept the AI, Jack continued with his day, first by getting in a shower before getting dressed and heading for the control room. Exiting the lift, Jack walked to the armory, where he found Ellie still working on repairing her robot.
He asked if Ellie even went to bed at all last night, and she replied by saying how sleep is for the weak. Jack brushed aside that comment before opening his locker, grabbing his energy sword, and igniting the blade.
Ellie started yelling at Jack, saying, “What are you doing? If you want to practice with your sword, then you use a stick."
Jack apologized, went to grab a stick, entered the training room, and started practicing his moves. As he stood with a stick in his hand, he focused on his training, determined to sharpen his skills. In his mind, he thought back to his younger days, when he and his brother would pretend to be knights, playfully wielding fake swords against one another.
Suddenly, he felt a sharp knock on his stick, causing it to fly out of his hand. He instinctively opened his eyes, only to find Asuka and Kairi standing before him, their sticks pointed at him menacingly. Jack acted quickly, pushing Kairi's stick away from his face and ducking under Asuka's stick. He then reached for his stick, ready to fight back.
The three of them engaged in a fast and furious battle; each strike was quick and smooth. Their movements were almost choreographed; each strike met an equally effective block. Jack felt invigorated by the challenge, his heart racing as he fought against the twins. Despite their skill, Jack was determined to come out on top; he knew that if he was going to defeat both Stallone and the masked man, he needed to be at the top of his game.
