As he hugged the sword in his arms, Apo said "thank you" to his uncle with a bit of a tear in his eyes, before he went and left his uncle's house.

When Apo came home, he started to smell a flavorful aroma at the door. To the point that his mouth is starting to 'salivate' as he enters the house.

Apo traces the 'flavorful smell' all over the room, as he does that, he is suddenly shocked as he notices himself on the kitchen doors. Apo looks inside and sees his mother cooking in the kitchen.

So Apo asks, "Ma, what are you cooking right now.... Because it smells amazing!!!". As he said that, apo slowly walked into the kitchen and wanted to take a look at it.

His mother says "It's chicken adobo, son". Apo eyes looked amazed at the look on the dish since it was his favorite dish.

As Apo kept looking at it, he was 'continuously bombarded' with a flavorful aroma in his nose. Apo could also smell the aroma of garlic, vinegar, soy sauce, and dry bay leaves in the dish, to the point that it made Apo salivates even more.

A few minutes later, his mother suddenly said " Apo, prepare the tables now since I am almost done here".

When Apo hears it, Apo slowly walks into the drawer and immediately grabs the plates and the spoons from the inside. After that, place the plates and the spoons on the table, before preparing the chair around it.

When the time Apo is already done with his work, his mother comes out into the kitchen, carrying the plate of adobo in his left hand and the plate of white rice in his right.

His mother places it on the center of the table, as they slowly sit on the chairs and start to eat.

This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.

Apo subconsciously tightens his grip on the spoon, as he smells the aroma of the food. Apo slowly grabs the large bowl of rice and scoops the rice on his plate. After that apo also slowly picks up the two pieces of chicken as apo pours out the sauce on top of it.

As he took a bite, his eyes were about to tear up when he tasted the sweetness and acidity of the sauce inside the rice. Apo also enjoys the juiciness and tenderness of the chicken.

To the point that every bite was an explosion of flavor in his mouth. After some time of eating, apo's stomach became full as he finished his meal.

After finishing the lunch, apo placed his plate on the sink as he was about to go upstairs. As he passed by his mother, she said

"Apo!! Hurry up to pack your things up, since we need to go now... It may have traffic along the way, That's why, the earlier the the better" her mother said.

When Apo heard it, he immediately said "yes" as he climbed upstairs and went to his room.

In his room, apo picks up his suitcase inside the bed and stocks his things inside it. From things like clothes, toothbrushes, and important paper, from his cabinet, he slowly picks the things up and puts them inside the bag.

As he kept packing up his things, Apo suddenly stumbled on a picture frame on the top of the cabinet. And as he looks at it, he sees two people in the frame.

On the left was an old man with gray hair, wrinkled skin, and a large scar on his left cheek. And that old man in the picture was his grandpa. While on the right side was apo himself when he was young.

As Apo starts to remember his childhood in the picture. It suddenly cut short, when he instantly glimpsed the sword near the suitcase.

When Apo slowly picked it up, he noticed that it was quite heavy for his size, since it was a one-handed sword itself. As he is able to determine the exact length and weight of the sword.

He calculates that the length of the sword was 'half a meter' long, while its weight was twelve kilos.

After that, apo slowly unsheets the blade by its cover. He was able to see the obsidian-like color of its blade. He also sees the wave-like pattern on the blade and an oak wood handle in his hand.

When Apo sees the handle, he starts to remember the same handle of the 'Southeast Asian swords'.

And by seeing the whole appearance of the blade, he said it himself. 'Without a doubt, this blade must be a 'binangon sword' one of the legendary swords of the Philippines' Apo said inwardly.
