It turns out that I was probably right about the back alleys being suspicious as hell. I went to take a walk and saw a ton of cops patrolling the area, and a few were putting up missing person posters. Some girl about my age apparently got kidnapped last night. Absolutely terrifying stuff right there. It is harrowing to think that that could have been me if I had screwed up my spell or run any slower. I had to end my walk early due to pain in my stomach.
I went home right after that because the physical pain combined with the sheer mental stress of almost having been kidnapped or killed was too much. I took another dosage of medicine as soon as I got home, so it should be getting better eventually. For now, though, I don’t think I can handle the pain. It feels like my skin is melting off my body. I feel everything; whatever this sickness is, it hasn’t touched my nervous system. My throat burns after the hours spent in the bathroom, throwing up the contents of my rotting stomach. Any clothes that have rough seams or are made out of rough fabric make me feel like I am burning alive. Pieces of it peel away with the slightest touch, revealing raw, oozing flesh underneath. The pain of my skin separating from my body is a whole new level of torment. Simple tasks like moving or even blinking have become hell on earth. I feel the flesh of my eyelids peel away as I blink, and the dead skin falls into my eyes. My stomach feels like it's being twisted and torn from the inside out. The waves of nausea and vomiting hit me with unrelenting force, leaving me drained and weak. The once familiar tastes and smells of food are now triggers for an overwhelming urge to retch, yet my stomach can't seem to rid itself of the acidic bile that has taken over my insides.

I put on the softest clothes I could find and hobbled over to the closest drug store I could find. I bought all the pain medicine I could. Holding the bag in my hands hurt quite a bit, and I am pretty sure some of my skin got left on it. On the way home, I, painfully, I might add, opened the medicine box and downed two pills without checking the dosage. I checked after, and I only took a bit more than necessary, but the pain was already starting to cool down, so I should be fine to finally sleep.
