That night, the three drove back into town while they met with the midnight watch, as it was their job to keep the townspeople safe and authorize the curfew. Lycka showed her credentials, and they were allowed in.
Alpha Crucis drove to the inn where they were staying. Yet, none of them wanted to leave the car.
“Shining Star Blossom, thank you for work today. We will meet up at breakfast tomorrow.”
“Thank you, your Majesty,” Blossom said. Before she left, Blossom hugged Alpha Crucis. It was unexpected, but it felt nice. Then, she finally left.
Lycka couldn't help but giggle, “She’s a sweetheart. You’ll love her. And so do they.”

Alpha Crucis didn’t respond.
“I know you wanted Glenda to snap out of it for the reasons you originally hoped,” Lycka said. “She was crazy in love with a woman who wasn’t right for her.”
“No, they were made for each other...” Alpha Crucis contradicted.
“Well, if that was the case, your intuition and theory were right. But that doesn’t mean you must beat yourself up because of it,” Lycka said. “Maria went above and beyond to ruin us, Selena. “My predecessor owes me another life, your Majesty.” Alpha Crucis fretted.
“Then let us work hard and smart to bring the disenfranchised,” Lycka said. “Gets some rest, and we will get some breakfast.” Lycka smiled.
“Okay...” Alpha Crucis agreed.
Alpha Crucis, deep down, wanted to help Glenda, but her mind was already made up. At least nobody knew about the fake Shining Stars in the plane. It would have been disastrous if anyone had discovered the bodies.
But now, the rest of the team has to prepare for what is next...
