Inside a building, in another part of the city, a girl was sitting on the floor reading a book. She had several scratches all over her body and the blood on her face had already dried up.
In front of her were four spheres made of water, and inside each sphere was a thirio that tried helplessly to escape from the sphere before drowning. However, no matter how much they moved, no matter how much they tried to swim inside the sphere, they wouldn't even move an inch.
"You thirios really are tough, huh?" Illya said as she turned a page in her book and continued reading completely unbothered.
A couple of seconds later one of the thirios stopped moving and the water sphere crumbled apart.
Thud!
The thirio's lifeless body fell to the ground. Without looking away from her book, Illya opened the interaction menu from her ID card, which started analyzing the thirio's corpse. After a couple of seconds, Illya looked at it.
'Class C, 500 points…' Illya thought as she looked at the data displayed.
She kept her interaction menu open until the last thirio drowned inside Illya's water prison.

"*sigh*, I had hoped I would get more points from them, but it seems this would be harder than I thought," she said to herself as she closed her book and stood up.
She walked out of the room and calmly started climbing the stairs toward the upper floors of the building. After a couple of minutes, she finally arrived at the building's rooftop.
She took a deep breath then she channeled her ability and focused it on her hand. Suddenly, water started forming on her hand and little by little, it formed into tiny tubes of water that extended from her hand. After some seconds, the water tubes looked like water roots that came out of Illya's hand and extended up into the sky. A couple of seconds later the water roots stopped extending and another 10 water roots that finished with a sphere extended from Illya's hand toward her. In the sphere at the end of each tube, appeared different views from the sky of the city.

Illya's power allowed her to control water at will. And by molding these roots and modifying the refractive index on different parts through them, she could bend the light in such a way that the light caught by the end of each root was displayed in the spheres in front of her. She was somewhat using the same basis as a submarine's periscope, with the difference that instead of mirrors she was using water. As a result, she was able to recon an area of 500 meters around her. After a while, she found her next targets and started heading toward them.
Bang!
In another part of the city, a thirio fell to the ground unable to move, while another one even though still standing up, found it hard to move. In front of them, a boy with green glowing eyes and a spear slowly walked toward them.
"You are supposed to be the HSA's test?" asked Ethan as he looked disgusted at the two thirios. "I'm barely making any effort but you are already struggling. If it wasn't for the points I wouldn't even bother killing you," he said as he continued walking toward them.
When he arrived next to the thirio that was currently laying on the ground, unable to stand, he raised his spear and pierced the thirio's head with it. Then he took out his ID card and opened the interaction menu.
"Class C… Let's see what would be your class," he said with a smirk as he turned to the other thirio.
As he approached it, the thirio tried to push him away with its ability, and so, he compressed air all around him before releasing it with increased strength. It had hoped that it would be enough to keep Ethan away. However, the attack lost all its strength before touching him. Ethan's gravity ability was too strong for the thirio's attack to get through.
As Ethan approached even more the thirio tried to desperately slash him with its claws, but its paw fell to the ground before touching him.
Once he arrived right in front of the thirio, Ethan stopped walking and looked up to the imposing beast in front of him that now was unable to do anything against him.
"Pathetic," Ethan said disgusted, before piercing the thirio's head with his spear.

'1000 points for a class B… They're still too weak. At this rate, I'm going to collect the 10000 points before the week ends. This test is disappointing,' Ethan thought as he walked away.
As the hours passed Ethan killed all the thirios that crossed his path but none of them was a class A.
[Current points: 2900]
'This is insulting,' he thought as he looked at the number of points he had already collected.
However, when he looked away from the interaction menu he saw a gigantic and monstrous wolf-like thirio that was just coming out of a partially destroyed building. The thirio was about 10 meters tall, and when it saw Ethan it immediately started growling, showing its enormous fangs by doing so.
"Try to entertain me a little," Ethan with a smirk said as his eyes started glowing with a green light.
At that moment the rain stopped.
Meanwhile, somewhere else in the city, the other humanoid thirio was currently looking at a boy inside the lobby of a building from another building. The boy was wearing a white mask with black details on it and a white hoodie.
From time to time the thirio looked in the direction in which the other humanoid thirio had left, however, it quickly would focus on the boy again.
The thirio simply watched as the boy approached the door and looked around. When the boy dashed out of the building, the thirio followed him, while being careful to keep the same distance.
