A few weeks before Kal's departure, Sin arrived home with wounds all over his body. Ella, without understanding, asks him what had happened, and the boy says:
"It's nothing mom, I just fell."
Kal found that situation strange, and the next day he followed Sin to the primary school. Before he could enter the school, Sin was pulled into an abandoned barn and there he began to be assaulted by a hooded man. Kal interferes before it gets worse, then Peon Umbridge appears, the same young man that Kal had found at the entrance of Elhim on the testing day. Kal with a serious look says:
"Why are you doing this to my brother?"
"You took my place at the imperial academy!" - says the boy with hatred in his gaze.
"And since I can't touch an imperial student, I'll touch someone close to him." - continues the boy
Immediately after Peon finishes speaking, the hooded man who revealed himself to be Oka, once again furiously attacks Sin. However, before he could reach his brother, Kal intercepts him and strongly hits him on the back of his neck with a stone knocking him down dizzy. Kal starts walking towards Peon who gets scared and moves away, and with an arrogant air says:
"You know that if you touch me, your family will be persecuted in the village of Suri"
Kal holds his anger and immediately interrupts his advance towards Peon, remembering what the secretary said that day at school. Kal decides not to attack Peon so that his family would not suffer persecution, since he would not be there for much longer. Then Kal lifts his brother, cleans him and takes him away from that place quickly. Kal takes Sin to some ruins of an old castle and says to his brother:
"Soon you will be the protector of our family, and until I can return, I need you to protect them, understand?"
Sin, with teary eyes responds:
"But I'm not like dad and not like you!"
Kal, smiling, asks:
"Remember when I used to go hunt with our dad, while you and Inala stayed home with mom?"
"Not very much, I was quite small." - Sin remembers
"Once he told me he had a dream where you, me and Inala had become strong and important people and that he was very happy from far away with what we had become." - says Kal looking at the ruins.
"And do you remember what mom always used to say about our dad?" - Kal asked again, this time looking at Sin
"I remember" - replies the boy.
"Then let's say it together one more time"- requests Kal
And up their voices well, the two boys scream amid the echoes of those ruins:
"DAD NEVER LIES TO THE FAMILY"
Then putting his hand on his brother's shoulder, Kal says:
"I believe in you, just as dad believed, just as mom believes."
Emotionally with tears in his eyes, the little Sin repeats screaming:
"I believe!!!!!"
That day the boys went home and it seemed that a new motivation was taking hold of young Sin and he began studying more and more about all subjects and learning more details about everything plebeians were allowed to learn. He began training magic and strengthening his physique and spirit, everything to be like Dad and now his brother.
One day before departure, Ella asks Kal to get water for the night, while she prepares a surprise party for him. While Kal was getting the water, a shadow suddenly appears in front of him and scares him.
"By Selerian" - says Kal giving a big jump back
It was Inala, his sister.
"Hey little ant, you can't scare people like that" - says Kal with his heart racing.
"And I wanted to show you how good I am at hiding" - says Inala seeming a little proud.
"I'm getting very good at this, ok!" - continues the girl with a small smile on her face.
"I'm glad to see you're not sad anymore" - says Kal
"You know brother..." - interrupts Inala
"People come and go throughout our lives, dad left, you'll be leaving soon..."
"We have to learn to deal with these things." - completes the girl.
Then pulling Kal by the arm, she sits near the water well and continues:
"I was mad at you"
"I was very mad, our family should stay united"
"But mom told me to smile, she told me we should make the most of the time we spend with the people we love"
"That's why I'm not going to be angry and sad anymore, I'm going to smile, I'm going to play, I'm going to help you get water"
"Just like we used to, you, me, brother Sin and mom, while you're here."
Impressed with Inala's maturity, Kal stretches out amid the fields grabbing one of the flowers from that garden and puts it in Inala's ear and says:
"You're right, let's enjoy the time we have together, after all, we're family."
Then walking back home, once again they run into Peon Umbridge who surrounds them, this time with some more suspicious men.
"I can't touch you, imperial academy boy, but these thugs can," says Peon.
Immediately the men attacked Kal, who just pushes Inala away and says:
"Go home, quick"
Inala leaves quickly while Kal prepares to defend against the men's attack. They mercilessly attack Kal knocking him to the ground and ferociously kicking him. And Kal could only protect his head from the blows. Kal manages to get up after rolling to the left and getting out between the men surrounding him. While getting up he lands a kick on one of the men knocking him down, at the same time he grabs a stone from the ground and hits another with it, but takes another strong blow from the third man and falls to the ground again, while the other two were getting up. One of the men takes out a dagger and before he could stab Kal, Ella arrives and screams:

"Don't touch my son!"
Startled, the man turns around and slashes Ella's throat, making her bleed. Seeing Ella bleeding on the ground, Peon and the men flee in fright, leaving Kal with fractured ribs as he watches Ella bleed to death. He gets up and goes to his mother, and she, holding the wound tightly, looks at him with teary eyes, and opens her mouth as if trying to speak something, until her eyes slowly close. Kal then holds his mother, and with all the strength of his lungs lets out a deafening scream.
"NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
That sight left Kal desperate, and he continued screaming until he lost his voice. In the village of Suri, people tried their best not to get involved in such matters, even more so when the Umbridge family was involved, after all they were the richest and most influential in the entire village and lived as lords of those lands. Kal found himself alone beside his mother's body, in truth he had a very strong bond with her, being among her children the closest to Ella.
Suddenly Kal completely loses his voice, then as if closing his eyes, he feels his consciousness fading away and then he passes out.
Kal wakes up in a strange place. He seemed to be on top of a high mountain. The night sky sparkled like a rainbow and the bright stars crowned the dawn sky and then looking ahead, Kal sees a man at the summit of that mountain, he had silver hair like Kal and wore warrior armor, and from behind seemed to be admiring that vast sky. Kal approaches the man and notes that from the top of that mountain you could see a great illuminated city like day, with lights that lit up like dawn, then the man who was admiring the stars turned around, and looking at the man, Kal noticed he looked very similar to him but older, and without getting startled the man smiles and says:
"I was waiting for you."
Kal felt that his voice was soft like clouds and pleasant like the sound of waves on the cliffs of headlands and at that moment Kal asks:
"Am I dead?" asks Kal.
"Would you like to be?" - asks the man.
"I would like to be with my family!" - replies Kal saddening his face.
"I understand, I also miss mine" - responds the man.
"But you know, sometimes we have to deal with distance"
"And as your mother said to your sister: '...that we should make the most of the time we spend with the people we love', don't you think the same?" - completes the man.
"I... I understand" - says Kal with teary eyes.
"But it doesn't have to be the end, if you don't want it to be" - says the man.
"What do you mean?" - inquires Kal, not understanding anything.
"Sometimes you just need to try to do what you've never done before" - says the man.
"What's your name?" - asks Kal.
"I've had many names, but you can call me Domeh" - responds the man touching Kal's hand.
"My name is Kal" - says the boy lowering his head.
"You seem sad, Kal, has something happened?" - asks the man.
"I just saw my mother die" - responds Kal.
"And your mother was a good person?" - asks Domeh.
"Very much" - Kal responds quickly.
"And it's really bad when good people die, isn't it?" - asks Domeh.
"And it's even worse when it's someone you love!" - completes Domeh.
Kal remained in silence, until tears began to run down his face.
"I just wanted to be useful for her and my brothers." - says Kal drenched in tears.
"I wanted to be someone important, I wanted to go to the Imperial Academy, and bring the best things in the world to them" - continues Kal.
"Wanted? The past is a time that doesn't accept changes" - remarks Domeh.
"But I'm already dead, aren't I? My father used to say that when we die, we meet the gods and they can come in many ways" - says Kal.
"Which god are you?" - asks Kal.
"I'm not a god, I'm just Domeh" - responds Domeh smiling.
"Anyway, we can't change the past, can we?" - retorts Kal.
"Not today, but we can change the present and perhaps our future!" - responds Domeh with serenity.
"And how can we do that?" - asks Kal.
"Tell me young man, what would you like to do?" - asks Domeh.
"Save my mother, and give her and my brothers a good life!" - responds the boy with a serious look.
"You know something, Kal, if you really believe in that, maybe it can happen," concludes Domeh.
At that moment Domeh disappears and the lights of the stars begin to get even brighter and stronger, blinding Kal's vision who closes his eyes completely until he feels that everything had returned to what it was before and that with eyes still closed, he was lying on a cold dirt floor.
Kal's eyes that were closed are opened and a yellow glow that was once weak this time shone more brightly, his face that was before desperate was now tranquil and peaceful, and a serene smile appeared on his lips. Then placing his right hand on his ribs, he felt he was in critical condition and by firmly supporting his hand again over them, says:
"Be restored."
And Kal's ribs were restored, and then looking at his mother, he saw that she was pale and cold and that the large pool of blood around her had already cooled and darkened and even with the scene remained calm and said:
"Every person who lives or lived in this world has a purpose, you still have an important role to fulfill!"
And extending his right hand again, he touched his mother's throat and said:
"Be restored."
And amazingly his mother's throat returns to how it was before, the skin that was once pale and cold regained color and warmth. Then while his mother was still unconscious, Kal takes off running.
Peon and the 3 thugs hid inside an abandoned barn and there the 3 threatened him for more money, after all now that they had killed someone they wanted to leave that village as soon as possible. Peon without money at the moment, just tried to dialogue to gain more time, and then the 3 thugs going towards Peon, they hear a noise at the barn gate. They all looked back, and just saw that the gate that was before closed was now ajar, but there was no one there and, thinking the gate had been moved by the wind they turned to Peon again, however looking behind Peon, two golden eyes shone in the darkness of the barn and a voice echoed from behind Peon.
"The false destiny imposed by thieves and cowards, must return to the same."
At that moment Peon looks back and nothing was there anymore, but when he turned his face to the thugs, he realized that all had their throats sliced open and there was no more life in the eyes of the 3, then Peon falls sitting on the floor scared and looks up. Up there was Kal, sitting in a window, looking at Peon with serenity. Peon panics and says:
"A ghost !!!"
But before he could finish saying, as in the blink of an eye Kal appears right in front of him, touches the tip of his left finger on his forehead and says:
"See the end of those who succumb to despair"
Then Peon widens his eyes, opens his mouth, but no sound came out of him, he just remained seated with his eyes fixed on nothing and his mouth open until tears ran down his eyes seeing Kal turning and leaving that place.
Kal returns to where his mother was and awakens her, and when she stands up, Kal looks at her and says:
"Let's enjoy the moments we have as a family."
After speaking these words, Kal falls unconscious in Ella's arms, who still didn't understand what had happened. Then Ella carrying Kal home, just looks to the sky and says:
"Thank you for saving us again."
Ella arrives home, with dirty clothes and holding an unconscious Kal in her arms, enters and finds a desperate Sin walking frantically around the house and an inconsolable Inala who didn't stop crying for even a second since her mother left to look for Kal. They hug her and for a moment they all stayed together until exhaustion overcame them.
