Bob felt an excruciating pain. He immediately turned around just to see a huge bear with arrows on its back.

Bob screamed his lungs out.

Ada came immediately. She started to hit the bear with rocks, but it did nothing.

And then it just happened. The bear took a bite at Bob's neck, killing him instantly.

Ada froze. The bear did not wait; it started to run towards Ada.

But a scream could be heard.

"Nooooo!"

It was Bob. The bear turned around, heading for Bob.

It struck with its mouth, but Bob responded by putting his hand between the bear's mouth. Bob pushed the bear back and broke its jaw. The bear released a loud scream, waking Ada up. She went for the bear's back and jumped on it. She started to stab it with the arrows on its back. The bear slashed Bob with its claws until it gave up.

Ada stepped down from the dead bear and stared at Bob, asking, "How are you alive?"

"I don't know."

"Now that I think about it, you had bloody clothes at the inn back then. I always wondered how you got bloody."

"I don't know how it happened back then, and neither now."

"Look, Bob, your wounds are healing."

Bob saw his body and was amazed.

"The pain is going away."

"Did you have this ability even in your time?"

"Hell no."

The conversation was interrupted by wolves howling.

"Let's go someplace else fast," said Ada.

They took the animals and went to the top of a grassy hill not far from the river.

They both were very shocked by what happened that they just stayed on the lookout.

The sun came up, and it was time to begin where they left off.

Bob, Ada, and the chicken made the horse ready and started the journey.

The road was quiet. They stopped only for the horse to rest.

And so they came to the camping spot, a grassy field.

Both of them were very tired. They were only one day away from Athens.

"Ada, I was meaning to ask you, can you also regenerate like me?"

"So this is how you're calling it."

Ada lifted her dress up and showed her bruise.

"If I had this bruise that you made, it would have gone away. But I do have a theory about your powers. You may be the last of us, those who have come from a different time. I believe this is the reason why they also wanted to kill me."

Bob did not respond.

Bob asked, "What are we going to do if we don't get the clues that Ai is talking about?"

"Personally, I will go east, specifically ancient China."

"Ancient China? Why?"

"Because it is the farthest place from all this. What about you?"

"I don't know. If my powers are true, I don't want to stay immortal forever. So I will bide my time, and when I feel ready, I will go save Ai."

"Well, your power may as well be limitless."

"Ada, tomorrow is going to be a long day. So go to sleep, because I am staying on the lookout tonight."

"No, all night. Let's change places after some time has passed. Don't worry about me; this won't be my first time going two nights without sleep."

"Please, just wake me up."

Bob accepts, but he won't wake her up.

Ada goes to sleep, and now it's time for Bob to work out.

He does 5 sets to failure of push-ups.

"Today's workout: chest."

And so the moon went, and the sun came up. Ada wakes up angrily. "I wonder why," wonders Bob.
