Right after the letter was sent, he heard some movement from the vampire child. Seifer walked over to the couch he had laid her on and soon, she woke up, letting out a few yawns.
“Hello” she chirped.
“You know you've put me in a lot of trouble” said Seifer, flicking her forehead lightly.
“I’m worth it, I promise!” said the little vampire earnestly.
“I hope you are. What’s your name, anyway?” asked Seifer.
“I don’t think I have one” she murmured sadly.
“Very well. Henceforth, you are…Morgana” he said. Who better to name her after than his wife? Though, he was sure his aunt would throw a huge fit about not having her name be picked.
“Do people just give each other names?” asked Morgana.
“Usually parents decide the name of their child” explained Seifer.
“Does that mean you are my parent?” she asked, she seemed to have a gift for making Seifer regret being nice to her.
“No it doesn’t” he said curtly.
Stolen story; please report.
“Ok” she said despondently, as though he had told her she was being sent back to Harkes Manor.
“Don’t be dramatic” said Seifer in annoyance. He once again lamented the fact that Arcturus decided to target him. Right now, he should have been peacefully trying to reach the third step instead of dealing with a little vampire.
“Alright, parent” said Morgana cheekily.
“No one says parent like that” said Seifer.
“Alright, daddy?”
“Stop”
Seifer sent Morgana to bed, ignoring her exclamation of how parent-like he was being. For the rest of the night, he went over his plan, making sure there were no flaws that he hadn’t spotted.
The next day, the time flew by far too quickly for his liking. It was almost midnight, and he was waiting patiently in the safe house living room. Morgana was telling him about all the things she wanted to do now that she was free of Arcturus.
She did not seem to understand, no matter how many times he explained it to her, that they couldn’t go see penguins and polar bears or fly to the moon before Arcturus was dealt with.
Speaking of Arcturus, he would meet the Manager very soon. Seifer let out a heavy sigh, he knew that all of this would attract a massive amount of attention. If people dug deeper, they might even find out about his involvement. The initial plan to simply hand over Morgana’s corpse and let the Light Order handle his dirty work for him was far less risky.
“And then I can ride a polar bear and catch a penguin with it!” shouted Morgana, shaking him out of his thoughts. Seifer had no idea what she had been saying up until that point.
“For the last time, they do not live in the same region” he said.
With that, he finally walked into the other room and activated his altered Navigator. There were only twenty minutes left till midnight. Infusing his ether into the machine, Seifer took control over the manager and directed his puppet towards lab number 12.
Now, we just have to wait thought Seifer.
