When I realized it, I was already in a dark space.
No
I wouldn't know if I was in a real space or if it was just my consciousness that was present here.
I couldn't even feel my body.

Eh?
"Aaaagh!"
*Clink*
Aaaaahh, my back
Fucking hell! Fuck!
I writhed at the sudden impact my body suffered as I fell backwards against a hard surface.
Realizing that I was transported to an unknown space, I regained some composure.
I tried to lift my body, with some heaviness.
Once my hands reached the ground, I felt an earthy surface before encountering a rocky sensation.
Among the dirt and grass I fell on, I found what looked like a large rock partially buried.
I was a bit stunned and indignant, but I ignored those thoughts and looked around.
Having visualized the ground, I deduced that I would be in some sort of valley or forest, but on closer inspection, I am in some sort of jungle.....
Imposing trees several meters long
Lush vegetation consisting mostly of bushes and ferns with gigantic leaves that blocked the view of what might be beyond a certain distance.
Even though it was an open-air setting, I felt enclosed just looking at such a saturated space that seemed to have labyrinthine characteristics.
Focusing my eyes back on the ground, I saw a simple spear with no particularly striking features and some sort of glass bottle with a red liquid inside.
Although the messages I saw before I fell here appeared for far too brief a time, I was still able to read most of its contents.
That bottle contained some sort of recovery potion.
An item that I will have it seems I will have to take very good care of.
I put it away in my jacket pocket before also grabbing the elongated weapon that is probably going to be my survival companion for a long time.
It looks like we were transported in the same clothes we were each wearing before we passed away.
I took a couple of deep breaths to calm down a bit and ease some of my pain, which seems to have subsided, thankfully.
They say that when you get older those kinds of falls tend to be more severe.
My bones and muscles must still be flexible, hehe....
The weather is cold and quite humid.
I'm under a cloudy sky, which somehow gives this place a more tetric look.
I check once more in the hope that there is a cave to take shelter in or a large surface to lean on so that I don't feel the need to constantly look around me.
Unfortunately, there was nothing like that.
With no choice but to do it here, I first checked a few things.
Ice
"Ice."
Wind
"Wind"
Summon! Manifest! Throw ice! Throw wind! Ice magic! Wind Magic!
"Summon.....Manifest.....Throw ice......Throw wind.....Ice magic.....Wind Magic...."
Okay, I think I can confirm that.
I don't know or can't use magic at the moment.
I thought about possible activation chants, I also tried whispering them and even performed a few dynamic postures, but nothing seemed to work.
That only leaves me with [inventory box] and the other types of powers of which I don't know their use or benefits.
That's right
"Inventory box" I announced its name as I raised my free hand to the front.
Nothing happened.
Given its name, I would think it would invoke some sort of door or storage space for my stuff.
Am I doing it all wrong?
Maybe that's not how it works, not by chanting, or is something else required?
It was still too early to jump to conclusions.
This time, I dug in my pocket and took the restoration potion.
All this while walking in circles, a habit of mine, which helped me to stimulate my mind a little more.
The wind caused the vegetation to be constantly shaken, generating some ambient noise that made me extremely nervous, I did not know if I could discern the signs of the approach of any being that could pose any danger to me.
Once with the small glass bottle in my hand, I tried to summon [inventory box], but, before I could recite its name in my mind, it had already disappeared. It had already disappeared.....
¿Huh?
I was hesitant, when suddenly I felt a peculiar sensation difficult to describe.
It was as if there was a small void inside my head.
No, not inside my head.
It's as if there was something in my "mind", something that felt out of place, something new.
Try to force further concentration....
If it makes sense to explain it that way.
Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on the original website.
I felt I could get closer and closer to that abnormality.
When I finally found and could focus my attention on that "void", I got a little dizzy, since it was as if I was using my mind for two different tasks between paying attention to my surroundings and being able to enter inside that thing.
It didn't take me long to realize that this was the subspace I was looking for.
Not only could I see what was inside, but I could "feel" the spaciousness of such a place as if it were a part of me from which I can perceive its state and changes.
There I found the small vial that had disappeared from my hand earlier.
If it was kept then a voice command does not seem necessary.
Could it be that it works with intention?
In that case, concentrating on the small red object.
I directed my thoughts on the intention to pull it out of that space into my hand.
One... two... three .... five seconds
I was already getting nervous, when after five seconds, it started to work.
It seems that storing objects is a little easier than extracting them.
I again directed my intention to save that potion in my inventory, and after 3 seconds it saved again.
Well, I'm glad to be able to dispose of this if nothing else.
Mana: 100%
I don't seem to have spent any mana.
I have some hypotheses.
Maybe this skill doesn't consume mana when saving or drawing items but drains mana in relation to the quantity and quality of items as time passes.
It may be influenced by the size, quantity and/or quality of items, in regards to the amount of mana spent. The small potion being something that does not even take one unit of mana to save.
It may simply be that this ability does not consume mana.
Whatever it is, I'll find out as time goes on.
I can't know right now.
.......
Being aware that I couldn't stay here all day, especially because of the risk of rain or nightfall.
I swallowed hard and started to think about which direction to head.
The sun is not up and I can't distinguish between north, south, east or west anyway, so I'm completely disoriented here.
I thought about leaving it up to my luck by throwing a branch and going in the direction I'm headed, but my luck is crap, so I don't want to do that....
To hell with it, it's not like I have any other choice.
......
Now that I realize, the branches are too high, and o surprise, I don't know how to climb either.
What's there to look forward to? It's not like I ever expect to be thrown deep into an unknown jungle, even less so if it's located on another world.
I have zero survival skills.
It's not like I have many tools or advantages to draw upon either....
I just thought about the shape of my spear.
Although it has a cutting iron tip, similar to a razor blade, it is more for piercing than for cutting things.
Somewhat disadvantageous considering the pesky ferns and other vegetation blocking all direction.
I scratched my head in consternation.
Well, not that I had much time left to hesitate any longer.
In the end I plucked a leaf and tossed it into the sky as I stared at it.
It circled a couple of times, pointing in a certain direction.
"Well, it looks like it's settled."
I proceeded to walk in the opposite direction that leaf was pointing.
There's no way I was trusting my own life to my luck.
Not only am I this paranoid just because, there were also past experiences to vouch for me not having....the best of lucks.
But if I had to credit the biggest test of what my luck is like, the biggest prize would go to dying subtly fulminated by a multiversal? event sudden even to the gods, having one of my powers willingly consume most of the advantages I received and then being thrown into some sort of jungle where I'm likely to die.
Hahaha
I laugh to keep from crying.
It's said that if you look at it externally, tragedy can turn into comedy.
Too bad it doesn't have a third person point of view or omniscient point of view.
The rubbing against the leaves is annoying and sometimes hurts a bit.
I had to use both my hands most of the time to hold the spear, which was uncomfortable.
It is about the same size as me and weighs about 2 kilograms.
Its elongated shape makes it very uncomfortable to carry with one hand, both because of the force I have to exert and because of how bothersome it is to pass with a large object among the irritating flora that covers the whole area.
I will need time to adapt to holding it and using it properly.
I emphasize that as a common twenty-first century student, it would be rare to have experience in the use of medieval weapons.
I once wanted to enroll in karate classes but Uncle Max won't spend more than necessary on me.
Despite that, I'm still grateful.....
What would have been if I had practiced martial arts?
Maybe among the options I would have gained some physics skill and now I wouldn't have to rely on a spear.
I would use my right fist of death to finish off my enemies.
*Pufff*
Yeah, I think it's good to add a little humor to the formula.
My body was already getting very stiff from the tension.
The spear is not bad.
On the one hand, it's a weapon that allows me to keep my distance and attack relatively safely; on the other hand, it's annoying to carry all the time in close environments nor does it allow me to clear the path of leaves easily due to its lack of a reliable sharp blade.
Despite the cons that one would intuitively think could be solved by storing it in my subspace, it would be very risky to do so, it takes about 5 seconds to remove an item from my inventory, if I lose focus it may take longer.
Let alone 5 seconds, one second of carelessness can be the difference between my life or my death.
.....
I'm really scared....

Wandering almost in a straight line for about 7 minutes, I couldn't see more than a few peculiar looking insects, from which I kept my distance.
Well, I wouldn't say I spent all that time walking, since every so often I stopped to check the vegetation to see if I could find reaction from my trait or my origin power.
Unfortunately, there was no gain in that regard.
Which disappointed me.
Anyway, I still kept some stems and leaves from what I was finding.
I was regretting choosing this path, but I ran into an unexpected windfall.
I found some bushes with a particular feature....
Berries!
Yes, berries!
Yellow berries that stood out quite a bit.
Carefully I approached and with my spear I shook a little the leaves of the plant from which the berries came.
There didn't seem to be any hidden presence, so I approached a little closer.
Hou
Some areas seem to have been...chewed, leaving a bit of a mess and residue of these yellow berries.
This was definitely not the work of a human being.
I increase my grip on my spear as I take a slightly closer look at the surroundings.
I have no source of food and water currently.
It would be a waste not to gather these fruits.
I don't think it's a particular feeding place for any creature or groups of creatures because I only see the few such specimens gathered in front of me, it must be just another place that some creature happened to pass by.
The fact that there is food residue means that the food is edible. While there is some risk that they may not be fit for human consumption, it wouldn't hurt to save some.
It seems silly but I spent a few tense minutes quickly picking these small fruits and moving them to my subspace.
I didn't want to take any risks so I wasn't very meticulous, I plucked them with stems included, which generated that my hands were rubbing against the rough and irregular surface of these, scratching myself a little in the process. I stopped my pace a bit at the end for fear that something as silly as this would cause me injury.
*Clank*
As I was determined to get up, I could hear a fleeting, brief metallic clank not too far away from me.
I also thought I heard a female voice, although I'm not entirely sure of the latter.
I looked doubtfully in the direction of origin
I guess I don't lose anything by going to check.
If I can get together with others in my situation, it would greatly increase my chances of survival.
I approached discreetly.
Everything was quiet now, obviating the usual ambient noise.
When I finally pushed aside the last pair of leaves blocking my view.
I was shocked to witness the scene before my eyes, which stopped me in my tracks even though my sense of smell detected almost immediately a faint oxide smell.
Trees split in half and a large number of cleanly dismembered corpses of creatures that I could describe as white foxes with a horn on their heads, with one in particular that seemed to be the size of a rhinoceros lying in the center.
I swallowed saliva.
Despite all this, my eyes were not focused on them for long, but on what was on top of the large corpse.
Long golden-white hair shining slightly despite the cloudy sky, as if it were illuminated by the sun itself.
A slim, slender figure squatted over the body of the great fox, thoughtfully with one hand on her chin as her beautiful hair gently swayed in the breeze, giving a certain sense of congruence between her and the surrounding nature.
Upon noticing my presence, she turned her gaze towards me, revealing mystical eyes of intense golden color that gave off a certain ferocity, but her gaze was serene with a touch of curiosity.
Despite the bizarre scene, in a way I could not help but find harmony in it.
Without a drop of sweat on her forehead, the breathing of the person in front of me is calm and leisurely. The iron sword lying on the ground several meters away from her, which seems to have been the source of the metallic sound from before, does not seem to have been thrown with any intention other than disinterest, as if it was no longer useful to her.
Despite what logic said, it was obvious that she herself had taken down this group of monsters with frightening ease.
Without even fifteen minutes into the tutorial, a heroic figure had already risen.
I couldn't help but feel infinite admiration for her.
My heart couldn't help but beat frantically as my face burned with flames.
I myself was confused by my own reaction.
I didn't know what was wrong with me
No
I think I might know...
The only logical conclusion I could come to, was that....
I was deeply captivated by her.
