Making eye contact with Cinder I recalled him and ran out into the street to see what was happening, looking towards the bridge I could make out about 5 or 6 police cars speeding along chasing down a black van. Over the sound of the siren’s, I could hear a ‘POP POP POP’ recognising it to be gunfire.
There was some form of police chase happening and from the looks of it, would be pretty dangerous if not deadly to those watching on with the police and criminals exchanging shots. Looking on while the chase made it off the bridge and to my shock turned and was heading my way, knowing that something needed to be done before any more people got hurt.
Eyeing the road I could see that it was pretty bare at the moment, not many people were out and about at this time. Those that were kept to them selves and wanted to get off the streets pretty quick, especially after hearing the sirens and gun fire. Seeing the cars and van getting closer I came to a decision, screw it, if people end up seeing Cinder then its unfortunate, but we can do something about this and stop the situation from escalating any further.
Throwing Cinder’s poke ball in front of me he revealed himself with a flash of light in all his glory, looking around to see what was happening from his position on the sidewalk. We already were getting some attention with people nearby being drawn by the flash of light and the subsequent fire burning from his tail.
The van only being about 100 metres away I called out,
“Cinder ‘ember’ on the road in front of the van, make it your hottest one yet”, getting a response from the little fire lizard I watched at the flames accumulated in his mouth and were turning a light orange nearing on yellow.
I could feel the heat from here and within seconds he was unleashing the flames on the road with about 6 or 7 fire balls impacting the asphalt. I could see the road melting under the heat and moments later the van hit the liquid and quickly lost traction. Skidding off the to the side it impacted various parked cars and finally came to a stop, the Police being further behind were able to apply their brakes before hitting the liquid and avoided causing any more damage.
Seeing the occupants of the van getting the wits about them I called out again, “Cinder, ‘growl’ on that van, wide and strong.”
Following my command he unleashed a mighty ‘GROWL!!!’ feeling my body vibrate from the sound wave standing close by to the little guy. I then saw the windows shatter and the metal shake under the force with the criminals holding their hands to their ears in pain. Happy with the outcome I called out, “great job Cinder, now return.”, getting a rush saying those magical words and recalling him into his poke ball.
Seeing even more people looking at me and what we had just done, then of course seeing the police officers split up with the majority moving to the van and some peeling off in my direction. Deciding that it was about time to high tail it out of there I turned around and darted into the alley, making quick time as I could hear ‘STOP!, COME BACK HERE!’ behind me.
Keeping up a sprinting pace I was sure that I could lose the officers quickly especially after being enhanced slightly by the aura ability. Never the less I made sure that when I was a sufficient distance into the alley I pulled off my balaclava and black jacket, tossing them to the side wearing my red and white t-shirt under neath and I quickly combed my hair while running.

Upon exiting the alley I slowed to a walk and quickly entered a late night café, entering the store and catching my breath I made my way to the counter and ordered a coffee then sitting down. Moments later I could see the police officers exit the alley and go running past briefly looking into the café, and not seeing anyone dressed like I had been moved on searching elsewhere.
After managing to recover after the chase and with a cup of coffee I relaxed into the chair and looked up the results after all the commotion.

FIRST PUBLIC APPEARANCE
Reward: 1x Pokegear
Wow that was a bit of a surprise, I didn’t know I could get achievements. Surely there were some events so far that could have given me one. Might have to see if I can generate some more, there might be condition or they could be related to some specific goals. But hey that poke gear should come in handy, I wonder how similar to a normal one it is, and if it has been changed for this world.
Anyway lets have a look at the status, the achievement has given me a bit of hope with the experience gain.

So that’s a bit of a change, if we add of the .5 for that last mugging before the car chase then it means I got 2 whole points from that encounter. Maybe the larger and more dangerous the encounter the more experience I get………well duh, now I think about it, it makes total sense, jeez glad no one else heard that.
I’m kind of excited to look at Cinder now, wait I didn’t check him after that last mugging, he should have levelled up I’m pretty sure. 2 guys he took down would have given him 4 points so pushed him 1 point into the next level, let’s have a look,
CHARMANDER (Cinder)
LVL 6 (6/30)
GENDER: MALE
ABILITY: BLAZE
BOND: 79%
HEALTH: 100%

NOTE: A bond of less than 40% will cause Pokémon to ignore some commands
Hmm, interesting, few things to look at here, so firstly he seems to have gotten 5 exp for that larger fight, which makes sense, after all each time I have received points he tends to get a higher amount. Then with the amount required for the next level it seems to have gone up by an additional 5. So that would mean at the moment each level would increase by 5, fairly straight forward, only thing would be if the later levels would stay true to that format or would they change ‘argh!’ so many things to work out and keep track of.
