Chapter - 19 : Joseph's Pokemon
---
Zack bid farewell to his family and set out to meet Joseph, as they had planned to choose their Pokémon together. Upon reaching Joseph's house, Zack noticed Ellie engaged in conversation with Joseph. Excitedly, Joseph greeted Zack, asking if he was ready. Zack nodded in confirmation and turned to Ellie, inquiring if she would be joining them. Ellie responded affirmatively, expressing her desire to witness their Pokémon selection process.
Together, Zack, Joseph, and Ellie embarked on their journey to the market, eager to buy their Pokémon.
They reached the entrance of the city's largest Pokémon breeding center, greeted by a welcoming lady who was responsible for attending to the center's visitors. Ellie's eyes sparkled with excitement upon seeing the breeding house, as she had set her sights on becoming a Pokémon breeder in the future.
The lady at the breeding center asked, "How may I assist you all?" Joseph responded, "Hello, Miss. We are here to choose our first Pokémon." The lady smiled and inquired, "What type of Pokémon are you looking for, sir?"
Joseph replied, "I'm looking for a Rock-type Pokémon, and my friend here is looking for a Ghost-type Pokémon." The lady nodded and said, "Alright, sir. Follow me, and I'll take you to the area where you can choose the Pokémon that best suits your preferences!"
The lady took them with her and stopped at a place and responded,"Sir, we have arrived at the area where you can observe these Pokémon .These pokemon are kept in a simulated mountain environment. Take your time to explore and if any Pokémon catches your interest, kindly inform me," the lady said with a friendly smile.
Ellie was filled with surprise and excitement as she observed how the different Pokémon were placed in environments that mimicked their natural habitats. Throughout their journey, she had glimpsed the diverse settings created to provide a comfortable and familiar space for each species.
Joseph scanned the area, his eyes darting from one Pokémon to another, searching for a creature that caught his attention. However, he appeared to be uncertain and indecisive about which one to choose. On the other hand, Zack focused his gaze on the Pokémon, utilizing his unique talent of Insight to gather information about each one, trying to assess their abilities and characteristics.
Joseph turned to the lady and inquired, "Is it possible to obtain Pokémon with Advanced Qualification?" The lady nodded and responded, "Yes, sir. We do have Pokémon with Advanced Qualification, but they are quite costly. The ones currently on display here are mostly of Intermediate or Novice Qualification." Zack, having used his Insight ability, silently agreed with the lady's statement, as he had not sensed any Pokémon with Advanced or higher qualifications among the selection available.
This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.
"Alright, please show me the advanced rock type Pokémon," Joseph requested eagerly. The lady led them to the upper floor where the advanced Pokémon were housed. Upon reaching the designated area, she gestured and said, "Here we are, sir. These are all the advanced Pokémon we currently have available, and they are priced at 5 million dollars each." Joseph nodded, seemingly undeterred by the hefty price tag.
As Joseph searched through the advanced rock type Pokémon, he couldn't find any that piqued his interest. Zack, utilizing his Insight ability, also examined the available options. After a while, Joseph's disappointment became evident, causing concern for the lady. She was worried about his dissatisfaction, as they rarely had customers interested in purchasing advanced qualification Pokémon, and it was an opportunity for them to generate more revenue.
While Zack was using his Insight ability , he came across a pokemon who was fighting with a group of pokemon and was surrounded by other pokemon . It can be seen the pokemon was injured and angry , on closer inspection he found that this pokemon was Cranidos and he has Elite qualification . Zack was surprised to see an elite qualification pokemon .
Joseph, visibly frustrated with his inability to find a suitable Pokémon, was about to express his disappointment to the lady. However, before he could say anything, Zack intervened by asking about a particular Pokémon's background. Both the lady and Joseph, along with Ellie, turned their attention to Zack. The lady responded, "Sir, that Cranidos arrived recently and hasn't been tested yet. However, based on its parentage, we believe it is at least an Advanced level Pokémon. Unfortunately, it is currently adjusting to the new environment and tends to get into fights with other Pokémon."
Zack acknowledged the information and then directed his attention towards Joseph, stating, "I think this Pokémon suits you. It shares similarities with your temperament, easily getting angry and engaging in fights." Joseph, taken aback by Zack's remark, angrily questioned, "What do you mean?" Ellie couldn't help but laugh and agreed with Zack's observation.
Joseph gazed at Cranidos intently, then turned to the lady and declared, "Alright, I have made up my mind. I will take Cranidos." The lady's face lit up with joy as she led them to meet the reserved Pokémon. "Cranidos, this trainer is here to become your partner," she announced with enthusiasm. However, Cranidos glanced at Joseph and promptly averted its gaze, displaying a disinterested demeanor.
Joseph observed Cranidos's lack of interest and hesitated for a moment. He then said to the lady, "Is there something wrong with Cranidos? It doesn't seem to be interested in me."
The lady smiled and replied, "Don't worry, Cranidos is just a bit stubborn. It takes some time for him to warm up to new trainers. Once you establish a bond and gain its trust, it will become loyal to you."
Joseph nodded, understanding the situation. He approached Cranidos slowly, trying to establish a connection. After a few moments of patience and gentle interaction, Cranidos began to show some curiosity towards Joseph. It cautiously approached him and allowed him to pet it.
Joseph smiled, feeling a sense of connection with the Pokémon. He looked at the lady and said, "I think Cranidos and I will make a great team. I'll take him."
The lady smiled back and handed over the necessary documentation and Poké Ball for Cranidos. With a newfound Pokémon by his side, Joseph felt a surge of excitement and anticipation for their future adventures together.
