Chapter - 18 : Extras : Earth after 300 years
---
After the war with the Fiends had finally ceased, Earth was left in a desolate state. The devastating conflict had taken a heavy toll on the planet's population, with a mere 363 million individuals surviving out of the once-thriving 8 billion. The scars of the battle could be seen in the ruins of cities, the depleted resources, and the somber atmosphere that enveloped the remaining inhabitants
Fast forwarding to the present, the population of Earth has managed to gradually recover, reaching approximately 4 billion individuals. However, despite the increase in population, the living areas for both humans and Pokémon have significantly diminished compared to the pre-war era. The once vast expanses of land have been transformed into urbanized regions, as the need for shelter and resources has forced communities to concentrate in limited spaces. This spatial restriction has led to a more crowded and interconnected world, where humans and Pokémon must coexist within smaller habitats, adapting to the new dynamics of their shared environment.
In the current state of the world, only five distinct countries have emerged, each with its own unique identity and governing system. These countries are known as the United Front, Heaven City, The Olive Alliance, Golden Nation, and The Red Confederation. Within these nations, numerous cities exist, each with its own characteristics, culture, and population.
Our main character resides in the city of Onyhed, located within the borders of the Golden Nation. Onyhed is a bustling city that offers a variety of opportunities and resources for its residents. Our protagonist attends Forth Medium High School, which is one of the seven schools within the city. These schools undergo annual reshuffling based on the number of awakeners each year.
There are 5 major universities located in each country named as : Golden Sierra University in Golden city , Sacred Heart University in Heaven City , Seacost Academy in United Front , Deer River University in Red Confederation and Oak Grove University in The Olive Alliance along with several smaller colleges.

In each country, there are eight gyms that trainers can challenge as part of their journey. These gyms serve as a test of their skills and determination. Additionally, every country holds its regional Pokémon tournament, where trainers from all around compete to showcase their abilities.
Within each country, there is also a prestigious group known as the Elite Four. These four trainers are considered the best in their respective regions and hold the title of Elite Trainer. They serve as formidable opponents for skilled trainers who have proven themselves in the regional tournament. If a challenger manages to defeat an Elite Trainer, they can take their place among the Elite Four.
Furthermore, every four years, a grand event known as the Pokémon World Tournament takes place. This tournament brings together elite trainers from all countries to compete for the coveted title of World Champion. It is a highly anticipated event where trainers demonstrate their prowess, strategic thinking, and bond with their Pokémon.
The journey of becoming a Pokémon trainer is filled with challenges and opportunities to prove oneself on both regional and global stages.

1. In order to participate in Pokémon tournaments, trainers must acquire eight gym badges. These badges serve as a symbol of their skill and accomplishment, indicating that they have successfully defeated the gym leaders in their respective regions.
While universities primarily focus on providing education and resources to top students, they also organize university-level Pokémon tournaments to inspire and motivate their students. These tournaments serve as an additional platform for students to showcase their Pokémon battling skills and compete against fellow trainers within the university community.
To ensure equal opportunities for all trainers, regardless of their educational background, it has been mandated that every Pokémon trainer, whether they are university students or not, must collect eight badges to qualify for participation in tournaments. This rule aims to promote fairness and encourage trainers to work hard, regardless of their academic pursuits.
