The hospital had become quiet as Michelle stayed in bed watching a few dramas before she got bored and decided to check the news to see what was going on but as she did so, she realized all she got was static. All other channels had turned to static leaving her utterly confused.
Michelle kept changing the station when suddenly the T.V went black and wouldn’t come on. Michelle was leaving confused and starting to get a chilling feeling, she closed her eyes and began to whisper that everything was in her head and that the T.V had just malfunctioned or something, but just then the lights began to flicker on and off.
Michelle began to rapidly press on her call button, but for awhile no one seemed to be coming neither a doctor nor nurse was responding to her call. Her fear got the better of her as she stood from her bed rushing to her bag which had her things, rummaging through she found her phone and began to search her contacts for Naa, just as she was about to hit the dial button, a male nurse walked in.
“is everything alright miss?” the male nurse spoke in a soothing voice, calming Michelle who put away her phone and began to explain to the nurse all the things that had just happened. “I’m sorry about that miss, I will be sure to tell the necessary people so as to come see what the problem is. Please return to your bed miss.”
After listening to the male nurse’s words, Michelle took in a deep breath, reasoning to herself that the nurse made sense and it was just a misunderstanding and muttering to herself she had probably watched one to many horror movies.
Placing her phone back in her bag she made her way back into her bed lying down trying to make herself comfortable and forget everything. The male nurse on the other hand went round the room inspecting the devices before once again coming by her bed side filling up a syringe. Michelle saw this and became curious as to what he was doing, “don’t worry miss, this is just a mild sedative to help you relax”.
Michelle took a good look at the nurse as he spoke, he wore a surgical mask on his face preventing her from clearly making out his face but his eyes gave her the chills, “erhm, what did you say your name was again?” Michelle questioned the nurse trying her best to remain casual, “I don’t mean anything by it just that I’ve never seen you before and was wondering where the nurse who’s normally here, is?”

The male nurse turned to face her and from the crinkle in his eyes, she was sure he was smiling at her. “she has some important matters to deal with and I’m filling in for her at the moment.” The male nurse gave an explanation as held out a syringe, paying attention to his hand, Michelle saw bandages wrapped around a wound hat had just began to heal.
Michelle suddenly felt shivers down her spine as, he reached in to inject her. At this moment, a loud crash was heard as shards of glass were sent flying with a cloaked figure now in the room.
At the auction, Michelle alongside her officers had rushed into the lace evacuating all the people who waisted no time in fleeing when thy heard the word ‘bomb’, the 1 percenters of the city valued their life more than the common man as they had even more to lose.
In but a few minutes, the one packed venue was now empty except for the officer who were now quickly searching the place so as to discover where the bomb was.
Back in the hospital, in Michelle’s room, the vigilante stood tall having a stare down with the male nurse who was none other than the reaper in disguise. “Reaper”, the vigilante spoke in a gruff voice “you are starting to piss me off” The reaper responded to the vigilante who now remained silent taking in even the slightest movement, ready for the inevitable.
Michelle who had moved away in time to avoid be cut by the shards of glass remained in her corner watching the two figures before her. She was now sure of something the male nurse was the assassin who tried to kill her earlier on and the one before him was none other than the vigilante, Naa kept talking about, as she couldn’t think of anyone else who would dress like that.
As she figured out who he was though she just got more questions such as why was he here to save her. The stare down lasted for a few more seconds before the reaper dashed for a scalpel to use as a weapon but was stopped by a throwing knife from the vigilante, forcing him to abandon the idea of a weapon and opting for a more close and personal hand to hand combat.
At the auction, the officers had searched almost everywhere and still hadn’t found the bomb. With every second that passed Naa’s heart got heavier and heavier a tic, tock sound ringing louder and louder in her ear as she knew that until they found the bomb the next second could very well be their last.
Naa decided to go even farther away from the group, when she came to a halt with a sudden flash of inspiration coming over her, where was the assassin guaranteed to take out everyone and remembering the incomplete model of the bomb she saw in the apartment, she looked straight up.
In the hospital, the battle between the two killers had reached its climax. With the reaper bruised and bleeding and the vigilante in an awkward stance obviously having a bone or two broken. The two continued releasing a flurry of attacks on one another, when the vigilante with one swift movement got behind the reaper and had him in a choke hold ready to snap his neck at any given moment, when he made eye contact with Michelle.
