Chapter 8: Learning
A day had passed since Nalser left Kapitol. He was currently sitting high up on a tree branch 50 km, in a large forest, east of Kapitol. While looking at the map, he murmured, " If I keep following east at this pace, it'll take atleast 2-3 months to reach the border. I was lucky enough to hitch a ride on a caravan that was passing here."
After he had left the Kapitol, he started walking east towards the border. An hour of walking later he hitched a ride on a caravan that changed directions later. He decided to cut through a forest. It was like taking a shortcut, the highways and roads went in a circle around the forest. Having ascertained his position and made up his mind about his route, he started rummaging through his Spacial ring.
Taking out a glass marble that had a little light shinging in the middle, he looked at this and smiled wrily, "These Illumination Beads sure are useful, like the warning said, if it breaks, it releases all the light in an instant." When he first read the warning in the magic shop, the first thing that ran through his mind was, "This is a Magic Flashbang." He bought about 10 beads just in case, he never thought that he would have a chance to test it out so soon. "If it hadn't worked, I would've had to kill my way out of there but that would also bring more trouble than worth. Then those nobles would've put a bounty on my head and an arrest warrant. Things would've been to big hassle then." While he was thinking back to the exchange he had with the noble at the Smith shop, he had a bitter smile on his face. Since he had been on the run for a day, he hadn't had time to check the things he had bought more closely. Now that he had a rare chance of a breather, he started checking his things and their usefulness. An hour had passed and all he was left with, were the blade and the Sutra.
"Njaa, this blades origin..." He thought to himself before forcing a bitter smile on his face, "it couldn't have been him, he has been dead for nearly 10 years now." He unsheated the blade from it's scabbard. The scabbard was pitch black, on it were only the same red tribal tattoos, that were on the blade. "This blade really is intresting, it looks and feels familiar even though I'm holding it for the first time." while sizing up the blade he said to himself in a small voice. He continued inspecting the blade carefully. The blades length in total, blade part and the hilt combined were 1.2 m, the hilt was around 15 centimeters long, the hilt was wrapped in black clothstipres, mixed in with red. It had a peculiar look. The blade didn't have a guard seperating the blade and the hilt.
Usually a guard was on all sword, to prevent the holder from getting his hands sliced when, the blade of his opponent slid down his, towards his arms. He took out the army knife and did a small cut on his left index finger. He let a drop of blood hit the blade. This was a trick he learned from Tobias. Usually magic treasures were bound to the user by blood, no one else could use them, even if they obtained them. That was also the binding method on the Guild Card he got.
When a magic treasure completes the Blood Binding, they remember the magic imprit of the person, thus eliminating anyone who would want to steal it. Although the Blood Binding disappears when, the owner dies. It's a unique magical link between the owner and magic treasures. As the blood was absorbed by the blade, red symbols appeared on the blade and scabbard. Information entered Nalser's head and an astonished look was on his face, when he said in a low voice, "No wonder it rejected people, this is a Sentinent Treasure. It's name is "Dreamer"."

Sentinent Treasure's, were rare amongst rare. They were more powerful than usual magic treasures but aquiring one took Heavens Luck. Even if you aquired it, it didn't nessesarily choose to obey you.
In the Treasurey of royalty, there were dozens of sentinent weapon but, none of them acknowledged the candidates as their master. Even though they had sentinence, they didn't talk, they only choose a master and formed a stronger connection with them than normal magic treasures do. A Sentinent Treasure couldn't be made like a normal magic treasure. it had to be nurtured with Mana for several hundreds of years before a small wisp of sentinence emerged. After trying out the blade for a few swings, he sheated it and put it down.
Next he took out the jade slip he that contained the Sutra. He was intrested in it since it felt like he needed to get this, when he first saw it. When he pressed the slip on his forehead and poured Mana into it, he was dumbstruck.

Meanwhile in the Royal Palace, inside the Throne Room. The King had an ugly expression on his face, it was clear that the news about the situation in the Smith's Shop had reached his ears. Kneeling before him was the same noble, who chased after Nalser. He looked as his world had fallen apart, dread was covering his face.
"So, not only did you fail to get him into our ranks, you threatened to put a Slave Crest on him and ended up with him disappearing," the Kings voice was low but clearly filled with anger, "The Adventurer's Guild is outside any Kingdom's jurisdiction and are putting quite a bit of pressure on us due to this incident.
The fact that Human main branch is located here, has brought a lot of money into our pocket. Should they decide to move the headquarters into another kingdom, we will lose quite a substantial amount of income." The recent stunt by the kingdom had insinuated quite a bit of rage in adventurers.
Currently inside the Adventurers Guild main branch, Guild Masters office. " Now, how well are the preparations for the move proceeding?" Tobias asked in a serious tone, from the higher ranked adventurers that were currently in his office. "All the adventurer's have been notified and the new headquarters have finished their preparations. The preparation of goods and documents is halfway done." One of the old men there read from a notice in his hand. It wasn't suprising that they wanted to move the headquarters. For the past few years, this kingdom has been charging extra from sales taxes and such. They also had a lot of run-ins with various nobles, who ticked off every adventurer.
"Good, time to move the headquarters then, start transporting everything that has been prepeared already," Tobias said with a cold smile. This last situation that happened in the Smith's Shop, had finalized his decision for the move. In less than a day all the adventurer's had heard of the situation and filed complaints to the Guild Master. They were planning on moving the Headquarters to the neighbouring human kingdom "Nulan". "This farce has gone on long enough, time to move major operations out of this god forsaken Kingdom."
When Tobias had said that, he adopted his signature smile , stood up and started looking out of the window towards the blue sky. Everyone understood their cue and started moving the prepeared goods and records.
