The driver ducks down as bullets crack at the glass. He shivers, "I thought this route was secure!" The windshield finally breaks under the stress. "It was!" I tense up as a rocket flies down ahead of us, a familiar voice comes on the radio, *Drive! Now!* "No! We can't!" I push our driver out the car and floor it while peeking over the dash. Somebody crawls up on the truck ahead with a rifle. "No no!" Our truck isn't going fast enough, so I grab my pistol. He misses his shots, hailing bullets overhead. I get the rifleman three times in the chest. Our truck slams the other out the way and I swerve back into the street.

Jean turns on the sirens as I pick up the radio, "Are they?!" *I'm hit, bad.* I slow down, *Don't stop. Get us home!* I peer in the rear view, armored cars drive behind us. *It's peacekeeper!* One gets up close behind us and hits us.

"Guess not!" They all suddenly turn. Jean sighs on the radio softly, *They just...gave up?* "We're too close to the raid center." I change the channel, "Hey! Open the gate! I've got three badly injured and a soldier down!" *Who is this?" It's a straight shot, a beacon I'm determined to reach. "It's Bolt! I'm coming through now!"

They wave to me, *Slow down! You're too fast!* I try letting up, but it doesn't stop. "Shit!" I pull the emergency brake and scrape us to a halt, right in front of the gates. A crew runs to me as Switch pokes, "You're hit in several spots, you need to get treatment."

I open the door and fall belly first. I yell at the crew, "They need help in the back!" I continue at Switch, "Damn it, Whiskey!" She's following me. That must've been her voice. I get to my feet and inside, past several more troops.

Tango marches towards me with a glare. She stops and covers her mouth at the sight of me. Everything goes all hazy before falling down again.

I quickly run over to him, "Bolt?! Wake up!" "I got them back." He smiles, "Safe." I shake my fists and try walking away. Looking up, I groan, "God damn it." I turn around and start dragging him inside. "You're lucky I still care." He grunts, "I'm glad." Gladius, Fox and Jean are ran to the medbay as Zack sprints up, "You still trust him?"

Growling, I catch up with the people carrying them to the med bay. Bolt mutters to himself before going limp. When I get to the medbay, a doctor waves me over, "Put him here!" He helps me lower him gently, the doctor's eyes widen before shouting, "Need help over here!" In mere seconds, people run over as one pushes me away. "You gotta go, miss!" "But he's-" He pushes me out the medbay. Something touches my shoulder, "You alright?"

I swing around and glare at Zero, "Where were you?! Why'd you let him go?!" He scoffs, "Where were you all day?" He glares back with a smile. "Bolt's in bad shape." His eyes narrow, "What?" "He survived, he brought us all home safe." I bob my head down, "But he might die."

He shrugs, "He was a selfish egomaniac, he killed himself." Raising my head, I snarl, "At least he tried to fix things!" He laughs, "He thought he could actually rid the world of crazies, but he's just half a man." He rubs his chest, "What happened?" He whips around to hide it, "It's nothing." I raise his shirt, three little red spots line up his chest at random. "Fine, my vest took some bullets."

I tilt my head as he continues, "I went on a small raid." He shakes his head, "I should go check on him." Before he opens the door, I grab his arm and he looks at my hand. He even winces at my grip, "I'll come with." He takes a second to scan me, then bites his lip before groaning. "Fine!" He throws my hand off and storms off. What's wrong with him? I walk in and find the doctor as my hands shake, "Is Bolt alright?!" He backs up from me, "He's lucky."

I hug the doctor as he gasps, "Thank you!" He slowly peels me off, "Just doing my job." He walks away as I drag a chair up to his bed.
