Quest 1, Part 1: [Simulation Start]

Quest 1, Part 1: [Simulation Start]

The heavy pain hit my head and interrupts my thoughts. For a moment I even feel darkness, I black out. When I come to, I grip my still hurting head, only to feel something uncomfortable.

All of us players had to get used to the game so we won’t accidentally move our real body. It was hard for everyone, but it could be mastered in a few hours. When you are so into the game, you even forget to feel your own body, since your brain thinks you don’t need it, but when you stop the numbness comes back. It’s so small it can be ignored, but it’s unhealthy. The whole game is unhealthy since you are not moving and disturb most of your senses.

When the pain subdues a little I open eyes, only to freeze at the sight. I’m still in the room where I was before disconnecting. Just what happened? I feel my hands touching my head, yet still see the game. PTSD? Hallucination? I try to move my real arms to the place the display should be, but only two tiny palms come in front of my face grabbing air.

“What happened?” I ask, when a window pops out in front of me.

I watch the screen saying something completely crazy, making breathing hard for a moment.

“Just what is this?” I mutter still in daze, seeing another window pop out.

Welcome to PAWO2!

At least the “testing” phase as it is. You are wondering what the hell happened right? I would like to tell you but there are certain rules we have to follow. Long story short the testing period began and you have to complete sacred tasks given by me. Every time you do, I will be able to answer some of your questions. I know it sucks, please do it quick so I can escape from here.

PS: Don’t die, and do what you have to do before [Full Immersion Mode] starts.

Achlys, your favorite deity

You learned about the [Sacred Tasks]!

Your Deity Achlys gave you a mission:

Regain control over your land.

Just what is this. What the fuck is happening. My head hurts and I don’t know if because what I see or I see because it hurts. My head. Shit, calm down me.

So, I was ejected from the game, and some kind of reason I’m still there in flesh. The testing should have began two days later. Also, I see, feel and everything. Since this room looks full of gold and marble I don’t think this is a joke. Also the floating screen is creepy. Wait. My body?

I look at myself and see the dress I wore ingame. To add into that my body is my game character’s. Greeeeat. My wish became true, I’m a loli princess in a game world. Hell no. I mean it’s tempting but… What the fuck?

I jump to my small feet and run through the corridors. During my panic I see some of the NPC maid bowing as I pass them. Great, the new AI is much better. They react to me without command. What the hell I am doing, analyzing npcs in this situation. I arrive at the closest room with mirror, coincidentally it is the mirror room. Yeah, it’s useless but I built it since it’s cool and you can make fancy parties here, or just make photos of your character if you are me.

I run into the room with closed eyes and stop near the middle. I shift my head and slowly open my eyes fearing the inevitable. Yes. I’m the most adorable creature in this word. A small girl who is both cute and beautiful, more than human can be. Since I’m a fairy. The small breast, the pink lips, the red eyes. I spent real money to make this character this perfect but the situation is… Hell...

Oh right. The deity said to do what I have to do before that thing. I know that she is my deity since being her follower gives stat boost to leadership, charisma and charm. It’s free to chose who you believe in, naturally.  It also gives combat bonuses but I’m not a combatant even if I have personal experience.

Let’s just ignore the don’t die part. I don’t want to try and confirm it.

The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.

I suppose the [Full Immersion Mode] will disable the game like elements, since they are so out of the place. This was a good tip, I have to thank her for that.

I won’t even think about my age. 625? Maybe the 6 year and 3 months the game ran multiplied by 100.

Just what the hell. I see that my stats remained the same as max level but my level reset? Even if my stat is weak compared to others’, isn’t that too much? An normal NPC has around 500 each stat while max level NPC might have 1500. Normal mobs are from 10 to 1000 and monsters vary from hundreds to hundred-thousands. I mean, you just can’t compare a horned rabbit to a dragon.

Each and every one of them has different stat relating who and what they are. Max level fighters can have crazy stats. A full battle mage with zero HP, mobility and good equipment can have 15k mana, but the same is impossible for tanks. If you have too much HP and no stamina you won’t be able to walk. Soft stats seem to be disabled, so I can’t see them. Probably I won’t be able to arrange the level up points in the future.

Since this is not a combat character I have low stats for fighting. Still, I can win against a not skilled max level fighter using magic and techniques. I have pride as a gamer…. Let’s just forget that.

I don’t even want to imagine what might happen if a top player became a tester. They could annihilate NPC armies alone. NPC Heroes might stand a chance.

Still. The disabled skills make me anxious. This means no helping system. I feel that I have my aura, meaning I still possess them. I memorized them so I can use them easily. It’s the same, except that I feel feedback now. Let’s try it.

I form a fireball in hands, and suddenly get the fantastic idea to mix it with wind and light spells. Splendid. I throw it towards the very high gothic style ceiling and see them collide.

An explosion occurs, making the ground tremble and dust fall. Now that I think about it, wasn’t there something like this in my memories? I’m not that clever to invent such things. I remember! It’s from the description of the Demon Burning Fireball! One of my elves had this, it’s just a high level fireball. If I remember correctly I unlocked at lvl 80. Level 100 was the max so it’s considered to be a high level spell.

I watch the destruction I caused, when a window pops in front of me again.

All aspects loaded and working.

[Master Command: Full Immersion Mode]

Simulation ready.

[Master Command: Simulation Speed Set: 5000x]

I hear loud steps running towards my direction, and while my mind is still trying to process the disturbing things, another hits my head. One of my characters, a human paladin rushes through the door not minding damaging it and shouts.

“Princess! Are you alright?”

Without tuning to him, I murmur something to no one in particular.

“I think I just saw then heard two very disturbing things.”
