Neia left and Lee went to the clinic to show Anya his lesson plan. Arriving at the clinic, he found Anya leaving an exam room. Lee smiled and walked up to her waving his papers. “I got everything written down for the lessons needed to learn healing magic.” Anya smirks. “Excited are we? Writing that whole lesson plan in one day.” She laughs, Lee laughs too. “The faster people learn, the faster people heal. Nitis Sindris said he would help with the spell book material costs as well.” Anya looks slightly relieved. Lee says. “I was planning on doing the lecture here in the clinic, but maybe the consortium would be a better place? I offered a few of the magical scholars with the requirements a chance. Would you be okay with that?”
Anya nods and smiles. “That’s perfectly fine with me, I can let everybody know that. What day were you hoping for?” Hmm, what day indeed. “How long do you need to get everybody ready? The lecture is about things normal people can learn as well. You don’t need magic to benefit from the lesson itself.” Anya thinks for a moment, nods her head to herself once. “Give me a week and I think we can have the materials for the book and have the lecture. I’ll get in touch with Nitis about the spell book help and also to ask if we can do it at the consortium.”
Lee happily nods. “Sounds good to me. There anybody with sickness yet? I have a spell I need a patient for.” Anya smiles and nods. “Just got one, it’s nothing major though, happens every year around this time. Go to in-patient room three.” Lee nods and starts walking across the connection.
*Knock knock* Lee waits for a moment and then opens the door. In the room sits a male elf wrapped in blankets on the bed. Lee walks over and sees that he is asleep. I’m sure he wants to be feeling better more than sleep. Lee started shaking the elf awake gently. His eyes open bleary. Lee speaks. “Hello, I am Lee Barnes. I’m here to get you all healed. I want to ask your permission to test a new healing spell on you, is that okay? Either way you’re getting healed. There is no cause for failure in that department.” Lee smiles.
The elf man just nods. He looks miserable. Lee focused his mana into his hand, searching for any and all pathogens he could think of. As he released the mana, it surged forth and struck the elf man, a wave of glowing white life energy spreading over his body.

The elf man’s eyes opened clearly. He looked at Lee in astonishment. Lee simply smiled, “There you are. Thank you for your help. Have a nice day.” Lee stood and left the room, leaving the elf behind in his wonder.
Having nothing to do until his eventual outing with Neia and Ruven, as well as his lecture in a week. Lee decided to try and relax a bit. He felt as if this was the first day he truly had nothing to do. Lee checked the time on his Arcane Synthesis ability.
Cooldown: 5 days, 19 hours, 32 seconds.
If I use next week's cooldown on combining spells… Can I combine three spells into one? Or only two? Lee quickly checked the actual description of Arcane Synthesis.
Arcane Synthesis - This ability granted by Acarni, the Goddess of Magic, allows you to synthesize different types of magic to create new and unique spells and elements once per week.
Doesn’t say anything about using only two types… Does this mean I can combine multiple elements? Surely not…
While pondering about his newest ability. He gets a knock on the door. *Knock Knock* Rising to his feet, Lee walks over and opens the door. At first he didn’t see anybody. Lee was so used to looking up at the elves that he didn’t see the four foot tall Nymie down near the ground. “Hello Mr. Lee.” Nymie said. Lee, now turning his head down, sees his visitor and smiles. “Hello Nymie, what brings you by? Does someone else need healing?” Nymie smiles. “Nope. I just wanted to say hi. What are you doing today?”
Lee looks at Nymie and raises one eyebrow. Well I guess this is what children do. “I was just planning on relaxing today. What are you doing today?” He asked Nymie in the typical way one would talk to a child. Nymie shakes with excitement. “I’m going with my mama to her friend's house! We are going to tell everyone how she got healed!” Lee smiles and nods along. “That’s good for you Nymie.”

Lee’s wisdom alerts him to someone in the corner of his vision. Slowly turning his head, he seems Ruven trying his absolute best to not break out laughing at Lee having a full on conversation with a child. I’m not gonna be living this one down for awhile. Now Lee gives Ruvan a wide evil smile. “Hey Nymie, I want you to meet my friend Ruvan, he saved my life!” Lee says in faux excitement. “Because he saved my life, and I saved your mama’s life. That means that he saved your mama too!” Lee points directly at Ruvan's paling face.
Nymie, oblivious to the game being played, smiles brightly and runs up to Ruvan staring at him with her wide dark red eyes. “Thank you for saving my mama, Ruvan.” Lee, still with an evil smile, says to Ruvan in a motherly tone. “Well c'mon, Ruvan, what do you say?” Ruvan strained with his smile. “Why hello, Nymie, You’re welcome I suppose. Can you also sense that Lee has a title, Nymie? I wonder what kind of title that is.” Now it’s Lee's turn to pale. Nymie looks at Lee for a moment concentrating. Shortly after her eyes somehow go even wider, she's visibly shaking with energy. “WOW! Lee got a title! Genne… Gensis…. Of healing! WOW! I want a title! How do I get one, Mr Lee!”
Tou·ché…
It took a good ten minutes of talking with Nymie before she decided to leave. Lee waved her away with a smile. Once Nymie was out of sight he slowly turned his head to Ruvan. “What a time to show up, Ruvan. It’s almost as if you were waiting for something like this to happen.”
Ruvan just looks around for a moment with an oblivious look. “I don’t know what you mean. I’m here because a friend asked for help. What day do you plan on going out to reach level five?” Lee gets into his normal voice, “I think in two or three days would be nice. How long would a small excursion take? I need to be back in a week for a lecture on healing.” Ruvan thinks for a moment. “Let's do it two days from now. We can spend tomorrow getting supplies and then leave the next. You’ll be gone for probably three days. Sounds good to you?”
Lee nods and smiles. “Sounds good to me. Thanks for coming along. Need any healing?” Lee says, waving his fingers about in Ruvans general direction. Ruvan chuckles. “Not right now no. Maybe when we leave.” Lee barks a short laugh. “Okay, well when I eventually leave here, you can track me down and find me for healing then. I might be half a world away though.” Ruvan’s smile falters for the briefest of seconds. “You bet. I best be on my way. Take care of yourself. You still look like a skeleton.” Ruvan strides away from Lee’s home while waving.
Yeah he’s right… Forgot to eat lunch today…
Deciding to fix that issue. Lee left his home in search of dinner. A short while later, Lee stumbled upon a very colorful restaurant. Unlike the normal stone buildings around here, this building had the standard purple, orange, and yellows of the leaves from the forest painted all around the exterior walls, in the style of someone just picking up a bucket and launching it at the side. A spicy smell came wafting through the winds towards Lee, coming from the interior.
Entering the building, it was bustling with activity. People chatting and sharing drinks, people all over, by themselves or in groups from two to even a group with six. It felt like the inside of a fantasy tavern. Which it is, I suppose…
Lee felt a shiver run down his spine. Not possible… From across the room, with a giant smile and dark red eyes, there was a young elf named Nymie, excitedly waving at Lee. Oh you’ve got to be kidding me. With Nymie obviously noticing Lee seeing here, Lee decided it would be worse than rude to ignore her presence. In the booth with Nymie was her mother, and what he assumes is her friend.
Walking over Lee puts on his best smile. “Why hello there, Nymie, it’s been awhile.” Nymie immediately says. “No it hasn't! It’s been less than an hour!” Still smiling, Lee nods to Kaylith, Nymies mother. “It’s good to see you doing better. You should really thank your daughter for sending me that letter.” Kaylith stammers for a second. “Indeed, thank you sweetie.” She says towards Nymie.
Lee politely says. “Well Nymie, you enjoy your food and watch your mother. Don’t want her getting sick again do we?” Nymie nods frantically. “It was nice to see you. I’m going to get myself something to eat.” Lee begins to walk away to find his own table.
Finding a little single table in the corner, he waves a waiter over. “I don’t know what you guys actually serve, just get me what’s most popular. Also that alcoholic beverage that tastes of oranges and lemons if you have it. I don’t know what it’s called.” The waiter is nervous. “Right away genesis.” Lee sighs… I guess they don’t fear Anya because they’ve known her for so long?
After a few moments of being stared at from a pair of dark red eyes slightly above the booth in the distance, his food arrived. It can’t be… A cheeseburger was his meal. I haven’t had one of these in ages… Taking a bite, they were just as he remembered. A nice juicy thick patty, topped with lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mustard, mayo, and of course, cheese. They sadly didn’t have fries as a side, he got coleslaw. They can’t get everything perfect.
About half way through his meal he looked towards where his stalker was. No eyes to be seen. Curious… Looking down to his cheeseburger to grab it once more, he saw a pair of tiny hands holding his cheeseburger and taking a large bite.
Jaw to the floor. He didn’t know what to even do in this situation. It appears Nymies mother had seen it though, as a deathly cold voice sprung forwards from the booth. “Nymie Silven Springs…” Nymies face pales as she slowly places the burger back on Lee's plate. Lee, still stunned by a literal child taking his food randomly, just watched her walk back to her booth. What the fuck?
Finishing his meal, it appears that Nymie did not have a good time. Apparently corporal punishment didn't end here. Nymie had a large knot on her head from what Lee assumes was a good thump. He saw Nymies slightly teared eyes and felt a little pity. He tossed over Mend Wounds. Nymie glowed in a bright white light for only a moment before her thump bump was gone. Lee winks at her as she smiles. He paid his fifteen copper and left.
Back at his house, he thought of what he needed for his trip and about a side project to have during downtimes. Enchanting sounds pretty cool. I should see if that's something to do as a hobby. It wasn’t even 8PM, but Lee wanted to relax. He began by writing lyrics for songs he used to listen to, just in case he ever came across a musician. Did they have musicians here?
After awhile, Lee went to his bed to turn in a little early. Ready to gather his supplies and perhaps try enchanting tomorrow.
