When we reached Orilon Village there was a little commission related to Razer, everyone gathered at the entrance thinking that it was a monster attack, but the moment they saw me on top of it, they all settled down. On the way to the house, everyone was sneaking a peak at Razer, some had a look of fear and some were in awe at seeing such a big creature, the biggest creature they have seen to date was probably a goblin.
When I reached the house, Mother was a little stunned by how the house looked, apparently, she had to share the cabins with other people before. But seeing that I had a massive house in this new world made her smile with a little drop of tear in the corner of her eye.
She looked at me with a smile on her face and patted my back, she usually used to pat my head and ruffle my hair but since I was so big now, it was impossible for her to reach my head without me crouching down.
Walter’s parents came out of the house to welcome us, for a moment they were scared out of their minds looking at a humongous bear standing in the yard. They closed the door and rushed in immediately, right then I called them out, “It’s Robin!”
The moment they heard my voice, they opened the door a little and peeked through it. I could see life returning to their faces. They slowly came out of the house, taking very small steps, as if any sudden movement could startle the massive bear.
Looking at their worried faces I patted Razer on the back, “Don’t worry, he is a nice boy!”
My sudden movement startled them a little, but they were able to relax after seeing that the bear was not doing anything to me. To make the situation easier I told Razer to go and rest on the other side of the yard. He was able to understand me very easily and
just followed the direction of my finger and went to the other end of the yard and laid down.
Walter’s parents were at much ease now, not having a massive bear breathing down their neck. But they still keep sneaking a few glances at Razer from the corner of their eyes.
From them, I found out that Walter, Lily, and Liam were still not back from their quest, which was normal since it has only been a few days, and they should probably be returning in a day or two now.
Mother was very happy to meet Walter’s parents, and they decided to stay in the living room and talk a little, I was tired from the journey and decided to go and freshen up. As per the living arrangement, there was no problem. There were already 2 free rooms on the first floor, I told Mother to pick one depending on her preference.
After freshening up I went down to eat some food with everyone, Walter’s parents had already prepared the food. So we all sat down at the dining table and had the food while talking about Mother’s experience of the Apocalypse.
From what Mother told us, When everything started they were safe since a lot of people from the neighborhood teamed up. But slowly the number started to lessen with every monster attack. On the second day they had around 50 people in the group and they decided to travel to the safety zone closest to them. This is when they encounter a massive pack of wolves in which they lost around 20 people, my Father was among them.

The rest of the people survived but they sustained some serious injuries, but at last, they were somehow able to make it to the safety zone. But even there the situation was not great, the village leader was not able to keep up with the rapid growth of people pouring into the village.
The problem lay in very less amount of adventurers, the main source of income for the villages at this point in time is selling the monster corpses to the Adventurers Guild and the village got a portion of every transaction which happened in the Adventures Guild as tax.
This meant the more the Adventurers, the richer the village gets, at least for now.
And that is exactly what the Village where Mother was in lacked the most. Since most of the people, there were old or middle-aged retired people, they were not physically capable to fight monsters. This slowed down the development of the village.

After having the meal, I went out and fed the reaming wolf meat to Razer, the guy was a glutton. He devoured enough meat to feed dozens of people for a week in 2 days.
It was late in the noon and there was nothing much to be done, Mother was tired, so she went to her room to sleep. I decided to go to the Adventurer’s Guild and check if there were any new quests that could be done solo.
The adventures guild was bustling with noise and laughter but the moment I stepped inside the door everything went silent, then there was not a single sound, the sound of laughter that I heard a second ago was not to be seen in anyone's face. Everyone settled down in their seats as if any wrong movement or sound they make could cost them their life.
I was getting accustomed to this reaction day by day, so without minding anyone, I went straight toward the quest board. But while inside the Adventurer’s Guild something shocked me, it was the people or should I say the Adventurers.
Almost every person inside the Adventurers Guild now looked like they worked out, they looked much fitter than before. Although not all of them gained as much muscle as I did but their posture was the thing that had the most change, every single one of them had a straight back. This was the sign that the people were leveling up and getting stronger.
This made me happy, at least now I did not have to worry much about the village's safety. But it also ignited a fire inside me to keep being on top, to not lack behind, and to always be the best.
With this thought in mind, I went to the quest board and started looking for a quest. The quest board was filled with a lot of quests just like before and the Rank E quest were still only a few compared to the others, but this time it was a few more than last time.
Among the quests, what caught my eye was a quest about a dungeon. This was the first time I was hearing about this. The quest was ranked E and the dungeon was about 60 km (36 miles) away from the village. If I decided to do this, it was going to be a long journey and the dangers I would encounter on the way was something I had no idea of.
But the reward for the quest was tempting. It was a whooping 5k gold, which was a crazy amount. The thrill of adventure and the curiosity to know what a dungeon looked like tempted me even more to pick up the quest, even if it was filled with an unfathomable amount of dangers.
I took a deep breath before picking up the quest poster to think it through once again. I was planning on doing it solo, I was not sure about keeping the group safe on a trip so long, and it was best for them to level up and gain more fighting experience on their own. And I was going to have Razer with me, which would make the journey more comfortable and easy.
