To those who are still following Outlaw Country, either from dogmatic loyalty or just not cleaning your following list -
Thank you.
This was, while not technically the first thing I ever wrote, the first thing I ever uploaded.
Understand that I had no idea what I was doing.
I was literally writing a chapter, giving it a single editing pass, and uploading it. I had no outline, no plot plan, no notes, nothing. I was quite literally making it up as I went along and was just throwing shit at the wall and hoping it stuck. Yet, a lot of people liked it anyway. I'll never quite understand why, but I'll go ahead and chalk it up to my natural charm and incredible sex appeal that transcends mediums. So, mathematically, a story I've been properly outlining with tens of thousands of words worth of notes should be even better, right? Great. That, and three years of practice. I haven't really ever stopped writing in my years absence, I just hadn't put anything together I thought was worth uploading yet.
The author's tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
Disco Inferno is my newest story that I've been uploading for about a month. It's already longer than Outlaw Country just from the uploaded chapters, and there are more in the chamber.
I'll reiterate, there are already 16 uploaded chapters that I put up before this announcement. It already exists and is primed and ready to be read.
I would define it as 'horror progression fantasy' if I had to, but I'll leave the hook for the actual page description.
As far as the future of Outlaw Country goes, I will likely never return to it. And if I did, it would be a top to bottom rewrite and completely different that you wouldn't even be able to call it the same story. For starters, I don't like writing or reading litrpgs, and only did it because it was the style at the time. So, consider it dead and buried.
I mean, fuck, it's been three years. I doubt anybody remembers it anyway.
Well, that's it. I hope I can get some of you to hop over to Disco Inferno and give it a shot. It's a very different kind of story, so you might not like it. But maybe you will.
