James Anderson was a normal man, well, as normal as a scarred orphan could be. He lives his life to the best of his ability, volunteers his time to help the less fortunate, and is striving towards being a teacher. One day he received a gift from an old women along with a cryptic message that he could not make sense of. Thinking nothing of it, he continues on with his day until later that night when he awoke to find himself in the coils of a giant silver serpent. It attacks him, and unable to resist, he loses consciousness before waking up in an unfamiliar place. Little does he realize that he has been thrust into a war torn world of fantasy and magic by the whims of an enigmatic deity. Trials of blood, death and suffering await in this new world as he attempts to survive against the odds. Though, it is not his body that he is so worried about preserving.
