*Wee-wo* *Wee-wo* *Wee-wo* *Wee-wo*
*Murmur* *Murmur*
“Ugh... What’s that noise?”
“I-it’s too loud. Ugh... My head hurts, I don't feel so good.”
“What's with all these people? Did something happen? Why are there police and ambulances here? Was there an accident?”
“I- I can't remember anything. Of all the time to have a migraine, why now?”
While I was trying to remember everything, people started piling up in front of a facility. Something might have happened inside.
“Maybe if I go there, I'll get some answers and remember something.”
When I got there, police were stopping people from entering the area. Someone started talking on the megaphone.
“Everyone, please step away from the facility! Do not cross the yellow tape! A rescue mission is about to take place!”
While they were talking, someone shouted in disarray.
“We found a body! Requesting for backup! Please help remove all this debris.”
...
“All debris removed. Area secured.”
…
“Body Identified… It's a woman.”
…
While the rescuers were checking the body, a familiar guy rushed inside the area. The moment I saw his face, I was able to remember who he was.
“Oh! That's Johnny!”
“Johnny! I'm here! Did something happen? Could you please explain it to me? I can't seem to remember anything.”
“Johnny? Oh, he probably didn't hear me. I better get closer.”
When I got closer, I noticed Johnny was crying and panicking, he was in distress. He was stopped by the police from approaching the facility.

“Please go back behind the yellow tape, It's very dangerous here!”
“I-I know her! We both work in this company! Please save her, I'm begging you.”
I was confused as to why Johnny was acting so strange.
“Huh? What are you saying Johnny? Did someone get in an accident?”
The medic replied to Johnny with a serious look on their face.
“I'm sorry sir, But her heart isn't beating anymore.“
“N-no! T-that can't be, Ms. Ina!”
“Huh?!? What are you saying, Johnny? I'm right here! Stop this, you're scaring me!”
I wasn't sure at first but after hearing Johnny say my name, chills started going down my spine. It's like the world stopped spinning. Like nothing matters anymore.
Because the moment I saw what was in front of me, all of my questions were answered. The body they found… Was mine.
I remembered everything. The earthquake, the warehouse, all of it.
…
“So I'm dead now huh?”
“No...:”
…
“No No No No No…”
“I-I can't accept this! Not like this…”
*sob* *sob*
I started panicking, shocked and confused. My body felt so heavy. It's like nothing feels real anymore.
I can see the rescuers carrying my body. I just stood there, watching everything happen right before my eyes. I didn't even wanna think anymore. I just wanna close my eyes and forget everything.
But just then, the image of my daughter flashed before my eyes. That's when tears started pouring down my face.
“Ella…”
*sob* *sob*
“I-I don't wanna die yet.”
“I still have to work, to earn money, to make sure she doesn't end up like me, filled with regrets.”
“It can't end like this. Not like this.”
...
I was about to lose my mind when I suddenly heard a voice behind me. It was so beautiful and melancholic that I was able to regain composure.
“Even after death, you're still thinking about your responsibilities. I admire you.”
After hearing the voice, I immediately looked behind me and saw a woman covered in light. She's wearing a white dress and holding an umbrella. I couldn't completely see her face but it was pretty visible that tears were flowing down her cheeks. The moment I saw what was in front of me, I already knew. I am meeting a Goddess.
“I am truly sorry about your tragic demise. I have seen it beforehand but was not allowed to intervene in the flow of life. It disheartens me to see someone like you go.”
“W-who are you? A-are you a Goddess?” I ask in confusion.
“Who I am or what my identity is doesn't matter.”
“Then why are you here?” I followed up.
“I am here to see you go and let you know that this is not the end, but the start of a new journey.”
“A new journey?”
“Yes.”
I wasn't sure what she meant at first but I suddenly realized something.
“Am I going to be reincarnated?”
“Yes, to a new world, where you can finally have the life you've always wanted.”
“I've always wanted? I don't want anything, except to make it right with my daughter.”
“Then that means you seek something. Something you want, something you desire. Let that be your guide.”
“I'm scared. What if it doesn't work out either? What if it's like this all over again?” If living hurts this much, then I'd rather not go through it again.”
The goddess smiled as she tried to lift the burden I’m currently feeling.
“I don't know what awaits you on your next adventure but I can only hope that this time, you can make it right for yourself.”
After our conversation, I started fading away. It's like my soul was being carried by the wind.
“Looks like it's time for you to go. I wish you the best of luck.”
Yeah, I can feel it. I'm starting to lose consciousness.
“Oh, Ella. Mama won't be there for you anymore. I wish I could've said goodbye. I'm sorry, and farewell.”
...
This is it. Everything's turning dark. But strangely, I feel at peace. I never thought death would be this calm. The noise in my head, the worries, and the regrets. All of it is completely gone.
…
I don't know what's waiting for me ahead. But I'll face it head-on, even if it's scary. If it means I can find a new reason to live, then I'll gladly take it.
Thank you, for giving me this second chance.
