meet with a mishap

It was already nearly noon when they returned to Chabrol's Moonchime Manor.

At the moment the manor was full of people who didn't know where they had gone except for Eric and Darmstine who were in the manor.

And it looked like the Baron and Howard hadn't returned yet.

After greeting the two, Freya went straight back to her bedroom.

For what happened today, she planned to tell no one, after all, although it had caused not much attention, it was not something special, and in two days, they would be leaving this place, and the city of Daziel would probably never have anything to do with it.

The simple room wasn't too fancy, neat and clean looking, and belonged to the standard rooms used for hospitality.

Pulling a chair over and taking a seat at the table, Freya pulled from her belt the small items she had bought on the street on her return.

A few marble-sized white light stones, a pair of gauntlets, four tiny flying daggers and a special holster for them, and a smudge of incense that was said to improve one's concentration.

The common few things, except for the gauntlets and the flying knives which were a bit more expensive, were cheap, and if she hadn't brought enough money with her before the trip, she might have had to buy a few more.

Putting the gauntlet on her hand, she picked up the cross sword that was placed on the side, and tried to gently swing it, feeling the effective friction between the gauntlet and the hilt, she nodded with satisfaction, it seemed that what that boss said was 80% true.

And the flying dagger was deliberately bought by Freya, although her current strength had reached the Knight level, her own shortcoming was also obvious, that was the lack of strength.

It might be enough to deal with ordinary warriors, but if she encountered some defensive experts perhaps she would be directly restrained.

The power of the stabbing sword was great, but the main exercise was one's agility and flexibility, and its main killing power still came from the weapon itself.

But in this era, a good weapon was unattainable, if Freya wasn't an agility type knight but a strength type, perhaps she could have to change a weapon every battle.

Therefore, she purchased four flying daggers as another killer weapon besides her hidden short sword.

After all, if one's whole body's defence is no longer exercised, some vulnerable parts are still fragile, if in a fierce sparring, suddenly shooting flying daggers, the consequences are not hard to imagine.

Moreover, these flying daggers could be used for chasing and killing in addition to sneak attacks.

The last time those imperial soldiers escaped, if the Baron hadn't blocked them I'm afraid things would have been serious, which was one of the reasons why Freya bought them.

Tying the flying dagger holster to her own wrist and covering it with a sleeve, it was impossible to tell what was inside from the outside.

Simply playing with the gadgets she had bought, it was soon time for lunch.

  Jogging to the dining room.

Freya saw that the Baron and Howard had already returned, talking about something at the dining table.

Apart from the two, everyone else had also arrived.

Seeing her come over, the Baron raised his head and gestured for her to sit down, then swept his eyes at the people present and said.

‘Bailey and I have almost completed all the formalities, almost wait until the day after tomorrow at noon to sail, if you guys still have anything else to do, try to finish it during this time.’

Low voice in the ears of the crowd, even after leaving Castle Green, the Baron still carries his own unique majesty.

After seeing so many two or three people nodding, the Baron's gaze then turned to Nick, who was sitting on one side, and said.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

‘Nick, tomorrow, you and Darmstine, you bring two people to buy some supplies for the sea, I'll go to the thrift market to sell the unused horses and carriages, no problem.’

  ‘No problem!’

  ‘Alright, everyone, let's eat.’

After a simple order, the Baron picked up his dinner knife and fork and gently nudged the table, signalling.

The sound of eating was sparse.

Freya lowered her head and ate her own food, the advancement of the sailing time could be seen that the Chabrol family did have extraordinary influence in the city of Daziel, just a simple offer of help in exchange for this kind of treatment was indeed very satisfying for them.

Only, since Dunleavy sent their party to the manor last night, apart from some servants, no one from the Chabrol appeared again.

It was thought that they would not be seen again when they left either.

After eating, Freya didn't choose to go out, but instead, she worked out with Eric on her own sword skills and taught him some tips on how to use the sword.

On the open space of the manor, Eric, dressed in a black swordsman's uniform, was seriously wielding the crossed swords in his hand, while Freya watched from the side with her hands clasped over her chest.

Unconsciously, this good-for-nothing teenager had gradually gained in style, and the cross swords in his hands were all able to deal some damage.

With her eyes, at this moment, Eric was advancing towards being a true warrior.

And with her and the Baron's and Howard's guidance, his own swordsmanship was more refined than anyone else's, and the progress was visible day by day.

On the morning of the second day of being stranded in the city of Daziel.

Freya watched as the Baron and two other personal guards pulled most of the warhorses and wagons out of the manor.

Although some of the ships had the service of transporting horses, the fees demanded were too expensive, and for them right now, money was used sparingly, saving what they could when they didn't reach their destination.

‘I wonder how father will decide to live when we get to my sister's place?’ Freya sighed slightly.

Leaving Castle Grimm would mean having no source of money, which was undoubtedly a challenge for the Baron and his party, who would only kill and fight.

However, it was heard that although the Gargoyle Harbour was rich there, it wasn't peaceful either.

‘I've heard that in some places, there are professions like mercenaries who do tasks or fight in a way that they can, so perhaps there might be one there in the Dragon Harbour.’

But all of this needed to be decided by the Baron.

Shortly after the Baron left, Nick and Darmstine went out with two people as well.

She borrowed some books from the servants of the manor and looked at them somewhat bored.

After about an hour or so of reading, she finished all the books.

For her current mind, simple books really didn't have too much room for thinking in her eyes, and her strong learning ability allowed her to solve even some complicated things.

With the intelligence value of the world once upon a time, her current IQ was definitely super high 200 possible.

Otherwise, it would be impossible for her to reach the heights of the Knight class in such a short period of time.

Putting down the book in her hands, Freya looked up at the sky as a seagull cut through the white clouds, and in the distance was the sound of Eric and Howard dancing with swords in the clearing.

Just as she was considering whether or not to check on Eric as well, the door to the manor suddenly slammed open.

A bloodied personal guard rushed in.

Seeing the seated Freya, with horrified eyes, his body swayed and he fell to the ground.

  ‘Miss! Miss! Something's wrong!’
