Chapter 4: A place to stay

(Alexander First Person)

Man, Those were some good skewers, wonder what that meat was. I probably should've asked that before I ate them, shouldn't have I? Ahh well, too late now. Well, shame I dropped some on my Cloak, I'll just ask the vendor if there's a place I can get it cleaned after I ask him about the meat.

(Third person)

Alex got up and walked over to the vendor,

"Sir, I need to ask, what meat did you use for the skewers?" Alex asked,

"Oh ~Uhhhhh~ Kobold." The vendor said, lingering on the uhh for a solid three or four seconds.

"I see, also do you know a place where I can get my cloak cleaned?" Alex asked,

"Yeah. Go down that street," the vendor pointed to his right, "Go down the second intersection to the right, then the third to the left, and the building is the fourth on your right."

"Thanks Sir!"

Alex followed the instructions and arrived in front of the building. It had a sign reading "Marshal's Magic Cleaners". When he entered he was greeted by a girl with light blue hair and green eyes. She looked to be 11-12.

"Hello Mr, Welcome to Marshal's Magic Cleaners, How can we help?"

"I need to get my Cloak washed." Alex said, gesturing to the stain left by the kobold meat.

"Just hand me your cloak and since mom's busy I'll use the magic myself!"

"Sure." Alex said, taking off the Cloak and handing it to the girl. She took it and and hung it up on what looked like a hanger before putting her hand in front of her and saying "" and the stain started slowly disappearing, first around the edges, then it was gone completely, leaving a small wet spot where it was. Then she said "" and the wet spot was gone too.

She turned to Alex and said "That'll be ten Copper."

Alex put his hand Into his empty pocket and pulled out ten Copper from his inventory and handed it to the girl. She went and brought back the cloak to Alex but asked "It's so soft! Can I try it on Mr?"

"Sure"

So she put on the cloak, it was way too big for her, and the hood covered her eyes when it was brought up. "Well that's cute." Alex thought.

"Woah!" She said "My Magic went up!"

"Yeah," Alex said "It does that. May I please have it now?"

"Oh, Sorry Mister." She said before she took off the cloak and handed it to Alex, ending the cute.

"It's fine, but before I leave," Alex started asking "Do you know a Good Inn? The price doesn't matter."

"Yeah!" She said "Just across the street is the Diamond River Inn!"

"Thanks."

Alex walked across the street and entered the 5 Story Inn. In the first floor Lobby was couches and a well made reception desk. Behind the desk was a woman with long, flowing red hair and yellow eyes. Alex walked up to the desk and the woman said,

"Hello Sir, I'm the Diamond River Inn Owner, How can I help?" She had a pleasant voice.

"I'd like to stay a while, can I pay in advance?"

"Yes you can, how Long would you like to stay and would you like to include meals on the Second floor Resteraunt?"

"Two weeks, and yes I would."

"Then that will be Two gold and Seven Silver."

Ales put his hand behind his cloak and took out the money from his Inventory and handed it to her.

"Thank you for staying at the Diamond River Inn." She said "Your room is room number 203 on the Fourth Floor."

Alex went up to the room and, completely ignoring the rest of it, fell asleep on the bed.
