I turn around surprised, hearing this unfamiliar voice call out towards me.
The little girl rubbed her eyes and sat up, looking fatigued and exhausted. As she tries to stand up, she trips and falls on her face.
"Guhh~~"
I rush forward to help her, but something seems to be blocking the way. I remember that the three hearts were needed to heal her, so I quickly pull them out, and held them towards her. Each of the hearts slowly begin floating and move towards her chest while she absorbs these hearts one by one. With each heart, color rushes back at the girls face and soon produces what seemed to be a perfectly healthy child. The non-existent barrier seemed to disappear and I bend down to help her up, but Momo suddenly jumps out in front of me. I fall forward, landing right on top of the girl, right as she fully opens her eyes. I was staring at two large beautiful eyes, but my hands were pushing against the ground on the two sides of her head.
"Eh!!!!"
I hear the scream and suddenly find myself flying backwards. She kicked me right in the 'painful part' whilst covering her body with her arms, a wave of red coming up her face.
"W-What are you d-doing?!"
"I s-s-swear it was an a-accident!"
It was very hard to string together that last sentence, but it had to be done.
She looks at me, and then to herself, seemingly coming to the realization that I was the one who gave back her three hearts.
She looks away slightly, saying
"I'm sorry...about that kick..."
"I-It's fine", I say, still bent over, covering my stomach.
As I lay there in pain, the menu pops up and says some new things.

After hearing these notifications, I hear more rumbling sounds, and notice that the caves are collapsing.
"Hurry! We have to run!"
I grab the girls hand and run towards the entrance of the tunnel, narrowly escaping the rocks falling from the ceiling. I quickly grab onto the rope and climb up the hole, finally seeing daylight after a least a week. I take a last look down the hole and jump out of it as it gets filled up with dirt, and in a few seconds, the hole disappears and is replaced with green grass.
I sit on the ground, panting, with the little girl by my side, and it was at this time that Momo decided to appear once again.
"Congratulations on finishing the tutorial! I knew you could do it! Also, you should probably get that young girl registered as your companion!"
With that, Momo lands on my shoulder and waits silently.
I look back at the girl, and send a companion request towards her. Surprisingly, she accepts it and the menu pops up,
1. Transportation 2. Fighter > But now comes the difficult part, Lets keep it similar to Momo... How about Ranko? It suits her perfectly! I look towards Ranko as the name gets established but her reaction seems to be the same as when Momo got her name. Eh, it doesn't matter... But now that that's settled, I want to explore the actual region, and what I mean by actual region is the region outside this forest. I vaguely remember the menu saying that this was a tutorial area, so I assumed there must be a main region as well. As I was about to walk away, I realize that I forgot about somebody else, "Um, hello?" I hear [FMC] say. "Oh yeah, what's it like on your side?" "It's only been like three minutes. And I also got a recording in the menu..." "Yeah, you can probably watch the whole fight in my point of view, without seeing just darkness." "That's a nice feature...anyways, I'm tired, I will be taking a nap for now. I'll call you some other time." And the call ends. A gust of fresh air blows across my face, and the sun shines bright in the sky. I look around me, and all the trees disappear, replaced with hills of lush green grass. All of that weird goo goes away, and the air turns clean, with animals reverting back to their normal state. The once dense and gloomy forest clears up, replaced with a calming serenity that is similar to that of the first village I visited. The feeling of completion after the defeat of the mantis finally hits me hard. As I lay in the grass fields, I begin reminiscing of the times where I played video games on computer, but during those times, no adequate feelings came to. The feelings of exhilaration in fighting bosses of this world cannot and were not found anywhere else. The beautiful construction of the world brings feelings that could not be experienced in any other online game played. After thinking for a few minutes basking in the sun, I get up, and stand in the fields, facing the wind. I have decided to devote all my energy in playing this game, and almost as if she could read my mind, Momo starts flying, and I follow her, with the unconscious Ranko in tow, as we find our way towards Thryftdelve.
