H. Chapter 21

Liu Ye took a whole day to reach the Blazing Parasol Tree. He fainted after enduring enormous suppression from the Soul Suppression Chain. It took him 16 hours to wake up.

“Are you okay?” asked Su Maoxian.

“I am fine,” Liu Ye replied as he tried to concentrate his mind.

“Drink this,” Qin Jia passed a recovery drink made from soul-strengthening fruits.

Liu Ye’s Divine Soul Space had felt some relief with the energy from the drink.

“Can you hear me clearly?” asked Qin Jia.

“Yes, Brother Qin,” replied Liu Ye.

“I hope next time you don’t try something like this. If I am not around, and you run into places like these, and if you run into dangers, nobody can confidently say that your knowledge and tools will help you get out of those circumstances,” remarked Qin Jia. “If you die, I won’t be able to face your parents. They went to search for unknown lands to treat your health. Try to understand their concern for you. Try to understand my responsibilities to keep you safe. Please, don’t take such rash actions any more. This would be the last time I am going to request you. Promise me there won’t be a next time.”

“I promise to you, there won’t be a next time. If I am in any similar situations, I will ask you to accompany me,” Liu Ye promised him.

“I wish there won’t be a next time,” replied Qin Jia.

He gave a slight grin and continued, “I think this punishment is too lenient for you. I may have to resort to extreme measures if there is a next time.”

Su Maoxian shuddered when he heard Qin Jia say that. His waist was nearly broken because of the iron belt. He had to exert a lot of effort to balance his body and avoid falling down. He would never be going against the orders of Qin Jia in the future.

Liu Ye entered soul cultivation and then reached his peak state. After waking up from his cultivation, he stood up and looked at the large red tree in front of him.

“I will take you onto the tree, are you prepared?” Qin Jia asked him.

“Wait, there is another formation protecting the tree,” stated Liu Ye. He stepped forward while taking out a shining stone from the storage bag. Taking an aim at one of the branches of the tree, he shot the Shiny Ignition Stone at the core of the formation. It stuck to the core. With a sound, the core broke and the node points of the formation flashed for a moment before they returned to normal.

“Very good,” said Qin Jia. He held Liu Ye’s shoulder and flew with him onto the tree.

Su Maoxian who was left behind stood silently on the ground.

Qin Jia and Liu Ye stood on a big branch. The Blazing Parasol Tree sensed their presence and the branches close to them were ignited by it, surrounding them.

Liu Ye crushed a jade ball that he took out from the space within the tattoo on his left hand. He transferred important items from his system space into it.

Both of them were covered in a green aura that was released by the ball. This aura soothed the wild Blazing Parasol Tree.

Liu Ye took out a potion and passed it to Qin Jia, and said, “Pour this near to the roots of this tree.”

“Will there be any problem if you stayed alone on this branch?” asked Qin Jia.

“You can believe in this aura. That jade ball had a potion made from a special herb,” replied Liu Ye.

“Fine,” said Qin Jia. He flew down near to the roots of the Blazing Parasol Tree and poured the potion on one of the root. In just a few moments, the root wiggled and calmed down. He flew back.

“Can you take what you need by yourself, or do I need to help you?” asked Qin Jia.

“I don’t need your help. What I require are these leaves,” Liu Ye replied while picking a red leaf. He thought with a beaming smile on his face, ‘I finally got my hands on these Flame Fetus Leaves. I can also have all of these leaves for myself. In my past life, I missed them in my early days of cultivation. Only after I reached a higher realm did I heard about these leaves. This is such a perfect material to concoct poisons. It has one of the most wonderful effects I know till now.’

“I have to pick these leaves and store them after spraying a special liquid, on each leaf. You couldn’t have done that by yourself in the situation you would have been. Moreover, now that I am here, I am also going to use this tree to break through to the fifth layer in the Body Tempering Realm,” Liu Ye replied seriously.
